London Midland trains, in their wisdom, are doing works on the line from New Street to Lichfield, and there are no trains, as far as I can see, in that direction between 16:43 and 18:13! What??? How crazy is that? Please someone tell me I've made a mistake!!

Ah! Apparently it's a signalling problem and there are delays on the line, so they are taking out two trains to get the schedule back on track (pun intended!). Logical? I don't think so!

Sent you a PM

From what I can see it seems there are no train arrivals or departures from Aston station. What a farce.

I mentioned this on the pre match thread yesterday - it can't be a new problem that has occurred today as it was timetabled as such earlier in the week. Will have to drive now.

I'm driving from Lichfield. I could take one more from Lichfield City station at 1.45 if anyone's interested. Coming back, I'd want to leave immediately after final whistle though, as the traffic gets pretty horrible. First to PM wins.
I also have a spare ticket Witton Lane Upper.

Didn't notice your post - sorry! Phoned London Midland this morning and the automated answer thing said there were works on the line and then later we spoke to a real person (!!) and they gave the comment about signalling problems, so it seems that they don't know what they're doing. No surprise there then!
