I'd bought next years desktop calendar a few weeks ago but this morning my wife has very kindly given me the retro 92-93 bootlace top - the original one I had from 1992 was too small for me - and the retro 1971 home shirt which is very nice indeed. Also a pint glass with a Villa badge on it, I get one every year because I've always dropped them by July.
Anyone else had anything Villa related?

The 1874 lamppost coffee mug. Love it.
-
Nothing villa related this year, but I did get a fellow pom in the secret Santa at work- classy fella and he got me a very nice bottle of Rioja and the tag said: to a Villa Tragic. I suspect he exceeded the 15 dollar limit significantly too. Palace supporter and all round nice guy.

"Keep Calm & Follow Villa" coaster off a friend.

The 2015 desktop calendar and the green/red/black muller top, which is fantastic

'Keep calm and follow Villa'? it has to be the biggest contradiction there is or ever will be.

I reckon Lambert has one that says pick yourself up and go again. Joking aside I really hope the improvement of the last few games carries on, would be nice to win a game at Christmas for a change.

The 2013/14 season review which I wanted as I collect them.

don't watch it today, it will spoil your Christmas! I wish they would bring out some of the older ones, 89-90, 92-93, 95-97 etc etc

My eyesight being what it is, I read that as: I did get a fellow porn in the secret Santa at work.
I got nothing Villa related as far as I know but have some gifts yet to open. I live in hope.

I had a framed signed villa shirt from the Eurpean cup.
Good memories as I was just to the left of our goal
Here's hoping of a return to those days.
Merry Christmas to all

Shit me too. i've just had to re-read it after seeing your post. Porn would have been better.

£20 voucher which I intended to to spend on a t shirt that appears to be out of stock in my size. Boo.
-
Retro 1971 League Cup Final shirt. My first Wembley appearance with the Villa.
Two drinks coasters.

The missus gave me a Villa Subbuteo team with the kit from '90-'92; with the lightning-type jagged claret strips on the arms. She apparently picked it up in a charity shop in Pershore at Easter and kept it squirreled away. It's in pretty good nick, too. I certainly wasn't expecting anything like it.
The lad's already said he is going to use it against the European Cup-winning team next time he plays.
-
Crest cufflinks. Ace!
-
A 'Villa Through Time' clock. It only has players from the last 40-odd years on it, which was a slight disappointment to a history buff like myself who was quickly scanning past Sid and Sir Brian looking for Pongo and Billy Walker et al.
-
Retro 80-81 home shirt. Bona drag.

You would need to be on medication to keep calm following the Villa.
I had a pint pot off the missus. Here it is in its usual state.

1983-84 retro away top
Yellow hoops? I had that back in the day. I loved the '83-'85 home top. I would kick a ball round my mum and dad's back garden pretending to be Steve McMahon. I met him years later when my ex fiance's little brother was a youngster at Swindon and he was manager there. He is a miserable c**t who showed no affection for the Villa.
I still had my photo taken with him though.

That's the one. Mark Walters scored a brilliant goal in Moscow against Spartak while wearing it.

I posted a while back on some thread or other that my abiding memory of that kit is the grainy footage from that Moscow game from Central News. In fact it is my only memory of that kit for me. I think we switched to a white top and blue shorts the next season (it was an improvement to be fair) but kept the home kit the same.

The Little Book of Aston Villa from my girlfriend's parents.
Was it signed?
Sadly not. It may have been purchased in Wolverhampton.
-
my wife got me the aston villa gardening set! 2 trowels and a vicious looking mini rake. They really do put some shit through the shop.
-
Nice t-shirt with Peter Withe scoring "that" goal. Sadly I'm not a medium so will need to get it exchanged. This situation was made worse by my brother who bought it me saying he can get in the small!

Shouldn't the usual state for us lot be glass half empty?

The only way I can keep my glass half full is to keep my glass empty.

Just treated myself to this (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/361054674682?_trksid=p2060778.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT). Hope it's easier to read than those Chronicles.

Received a Ramones-style punk t-shirt with Withe, Mortimer, Cowans and Morley emblazoned on the front.
-
Laura Hawkins, the club archivist, sorted me out the original print of of the 2000/2001 team photo. Well chuffed.
-
I watched the season review DVD. Managed to see myself on a few replays of goals which always tickles me.
