No. 44 away or 48 at home.
-
Whoever the toughest opposition is so we go out quickly with a bit of dignity.
We just do not have the squad this season to sustain a cup run and play well in the league.
Sorry for being small time but I am entirely focused on survival.
-
No. 61 at home, please.
-
Worcester City
-
Judging by how we've got on in recent seasons against minnows our best chance of getting through is probably Man City away.
-
Remember when we played Gravesend and Northfleet. Has that being our only ever tie against non-league opposition?
-
Remember when we played Gravesend and Northfleet. Has that being our only ever tie against non-league opposition?
We played a few back in the old days, including QPR when they were in the Southern League.
-
Remember when we played Gravesend and Northfleet. Has that being our only ever tie against non-league opposition?
I remember that. Waited decades for us to get a draw against non league, then two came at once.
-
Whoops I forgot about Wednesbury Old Athletic. Who was the last prior to Gravesend?
-
Worcester City at home
-
Remember when we played Gravesend and Northfleet. Has that being our only ever tie against non-league opposition?
G&N beat Cinderford Town in the previous round. I'd been hoping to see my fellow Foresters against Villa
-
Blose
-
Blose
No thanks.
-
Man Utd, at home, we win.
-
Walsall at home would be nice with a full house to bump them a few quid.
-
Walsall at home would be nice with a full house to bump them a few quid.
That would be nothing short of miraculous, being as they went out earlier in proceedings.
-
Blues home or away or Woles away
-

Ahhhh. Fulham away then . Great day out.
-
Luton at home, then Middleborough away,Bristol City at home, Burnley away R6, Baggies in the semi, etc...
It's going to be our year !
-
Dover away. Could park at the Calais ferry car park then.
-
Away anywhere, but preferably at one of the grounds I haven't been to before. Save the home draw for the quarter final.
-
Remember when we played Gravesend and Northfleet. Has that being our only ever tie against non-league opposition?
And Cinderford had knocked out Gloucester City in a previous round I think.
G&N beat Cinderford Town in the previous round. I'd been hoping to see my fellow Foresters against Villa
-
Worcester City
Me too as my mate supports them. Mind you he is starting to get way too smug about their 14 match Unbeaten run just think if they actually beat us! Don't mind if its home or away.
-
Sheff Utd, Bradford or Orient at home, something easy that we are definitely going to win.
-

I hope that post is your attempt at humour...
-
I would think so.
-
Maidstone away would have been nice. Settle for Dover or Fulham away.
-
I don't like driving these dark winter nights so Cam U at the Abbey Ground or Bury who are only a bit further down the A14 past Newmarket. I can look out of my bedroom window and wave to you all stuck on the A14 on the way home.
-
Chelsea away..let's get the cup over and done with , without too much embarrassment.
-

Wrong Bury I think.
-
Same request every year - Preston North End away please.
-
I've a sneaky feeling we will draw palace or Leicester .
-
Sheff Utd, Bradford or Orient at home, something easy that we are definitely going to win.
I hope that post is your attempt at humour...
Irony. These threads are filled with people picking us vs rubbish teams on the assumption we will when, whereas our track record is, recently, poor against such teams.
-
Is the draw live on bbc tomorrow night ?
-
Is the draw live on bbc tomorrow night ?
7pm BBC2 I think.

Cheers. Always one of the high points of the season for me. Until the balls come out that is.

:o
-
Sheffield United at Bramall Lane. We can get a bit of revenge and I can walk to the ground and have a few ales.
Then again, our 2nd child is due on 2nd Jan, I'm not going to get a pass. We'll leave them for the Quarters.
Manchester United at Old Trafford please.
-
Whoops I forgot about Wednesbury Old Athletic. Who was the last prior to Gravesend?
We played WOA before the league was invented, so every team we played them was non-league, as were we.
-
Weren't Spurs still Southern League when they cheated us in the FA Cup?
-
The previou non-league side we played was QPR.
-
Bristol City at home as my good mate's a fan and we haven't played each other for 30+ years.
I'd prefer them in the fourth round as it'll save me the cost of flying home for it.
-
Sadly, it will be Watford away. Boring.
-
Dover away. Could park at the Calais ferry car park then.
You could, but it's at least a two mile walk to their ground from there.
-
Is the draw live on bbc tomorrow night ?
7pm BBC2 I think.

Yep, the FA Cup draw followed by getting your balls out.
What a night!
-

Cambridge away would be good for me too :) but of course not if we lose :(
UTV
The Doc

"Number 4."
"Number 4, Birmingham City, shall play..."
"Number 3"
-
I want Man Utd. We always have great matches with them in the 3rd round of the cup.
-
Sadly, it will be Watford away. Boring.
Away from home that wouldn't be too bad. Its only a 100 miles away and we'd get all behind the goal.
-
"Number 4."
"Number 4, Birmingham City, shall play..."
"Number 3"
No thanks. I hope they get drawn against someone shite and get knocked out in front of 5,000. I've no wish to contribute to their survival.
-
I don't think it matters too much because, ultimately, Lambert doesn't care about the cup.
-
I don't think it matters too much because, ultimately, Lambert doesn't care about the cup.
Based on the fact we only played ten of our regular starters in our last FA Cup game?
-
More so on the fact that we lose to Orient, Millwall, Bradford, whoever whenever we're in the cup. I'm not moaning - he's prioritising league survival, but those losses hint to me that the Cup isn't a priority. Didn't he also say so in a presser last season?
-
With a full Premier League programme on the Thursday and all the other divisions having had all week off, it might be better to draw another PL team this time.
There won't be a single PL team putting anything other than their reserves out if they're made to play Saturday by TV or the FA.
-
Leicester at home would be nice thinking about it.
-
I believe the draw will be made tonight at 7pm (possibly on BBC).
Who do you want Villa to get?
-
Worcester City or Blyth Spartans would obviously be the fun options, away or at home. I'm gonna hold out for Blues at home because why not? They haven't faced the wrath of Benteke yet.
-
I'm gonna hold out for Blues at home because why not?
Because if we win we'll get no credit. If we lose we'll never hear the last of it.
Blose would get revenue from it.
It will inevitably "kick off."
I'd be more than happy never to play them ever again.
-
Whoops, didn't notice this thread.
I'd like Worcester away, although imagine they may move it to another venue if we did draw them.
Any non-league club, as we never-ever draw them.
-
Yes wanting to draw SHA is like inviting someone with Ebola round for dinner . No thanks .
-

Wouldn't think they'd want to move it if we draw them away. Aggborough holds about 6,000 and would be a great leveller from their point of view
-
I'm not sure games can be moved these days?
-
More so on the fact that we lose to Orient, Millwall, Bradford, whoever whenever we're in the cup. I'm not moaning - he's prioritising league survival, but those losses hint to me that the Cup isn't a priority. Didn't he also say so in a presser last season?
I agree, sadly. Chances are we'll be out of the cup whether we're playing Chelsea or Cheltenham.
-
I'd like Worcester away, although imagine they may move it to another venue if we did draw them.
Doubt it. For one it's now deeply frowned upon by the FA if clubs try to do this and anyway Aggborough is a decent sized stadium and has recently hosted league football with Kidderminster Harriers.
-
Brighton away please. A good weekend that would be.
-
Gateshead at home.
-
Worcester already play at Kidderminster and it looks like they will be there for a few years
-
Either Sheffield club away.
-
Either Sheffield club away.
I can guess why.
-
Worcester already play at Kidderminster and it looks like they will be there for a few years
Are they finally getting their new stadium built? I remember seeing plans for it when I lived in Worcester in the mid naughties.
-
Sheffield United away.
-
I've a sneaky feeling we will draw palace or Leicester .
Yeah, I think it'll be something boring like that, or QPR.
-
After the weekend we should have Leicester at home.
-
Worcester already play at Kidderminster and it looks like they will be there for a few years
Are they finally getting their new stadium built? I remember seeing plans for it when I lived in Worcester in the mid naughties.
They have applied for planning permission the last time I heard
-
To emphasise the fact that "this is the round where the big fish join the minnows", they are hosting the draw... in an aquarium.
Dreading to think where they'll host the Quarter-Final draw, when only the wankers are still in it.
-
Why isn't Gary Mabbutt doing the draw ?
-
Bradford please. Let's put that one to bed.
-
I see the 'X factor' bollocks has kicked in.
Spinning a 5 minute job into a drawn out borefest.
We'll be able to select which ball to select by phone in next!
Just draw the friggin numbers.
-
I'm just pleased we're still in it.
Another one for t'Blades away please.
-
Here we go! Nearly left a ball in the bag.
-
We'll probably get 24 :(
-
Dover Vs Palace
-
Albion Vs Gateshead
-
Blyth Vs Small heath
-
Maybe next year.
-
At home to Blackpool
-
That'll do
-
That's ok
-
Very kind
-
I feel sick. What a bore draw
-
The funniest sight was see the Blythe boys pissed off because they ONLY have the rags at home, rather than a decent team.
-
Blyth Vs Small heath
I bet they're crapping themselves!
-
£10 tickets surely
-
£10 tickets surely
£10/12 and £15 probably.
-
Couldn't ask for a better draw. No excuses. It's our year
-
This season's humiliation will be orange...
-
Well 2 games are nailed on for TV. Dover and Manure games. Probably Wimbledon vs Liverpool and Blyth as well.
-
Delighted we are at home and it probably won't be on TV so Saturday 3pm .
-
Haha drawing small heath was an anti-climax. Fantastic.
-
The Blyth lads look like they've been mugged and kicked in the bollocks
-
Haha drawing small heath was an anti-climax. Fantastic.
Hilarious
-
Blyth bloke just said it was an anticlimax, if he was honest. Made me piss myself laughing.
-
I've got Blyth in the Road to Wembley thread, fuck me they'd better win, no way I want to be stuck with that shower of shite!
-
The Blyth lads look like they've been mugged and kicked in the bollocks
Their fans probably will be in January.
-
I promised my non-footie best mate I would take him if we were at home - my wife just announced she wants to come as well
She has refused to come since the first match of the 1976 season due to us fighting with West Ham - told her she was fickle!
-
I've got Blyth in the Road to Wembley thread, fuck me they'd better win, no way I want to be stuck with that shower of shite!
Me too, I'd forgotten about that! I'm withdrawing from the contest if Spartans don't win. After their Scottish namesakes pissed me off by knocking Clyde out of the cup, they owe me...
-
Fonzy coming home .
-
The Blyth lads look like they've been mugged and kicked in the bollocks

Doubt it, if they can't find Sherlock Street, they'll never make it to Blyth.
-
Fonzy coming home .
He scored the last time we played Blackpool at home...
-
Fonzy coming home .
One of his few goals for us was in the league game against them at VP I think.
-
I can see this being a Sunday game.
-
Feel sorry for Blyth. I went there to watch Halesowen Town a couple of weeks back. A nice club, with good people running it and great supporters.
They deserve so much better than that shower turning up.
-
I can see this being a Sunday game.
On what basis ? SHA are away, can't see it being on TV !
It's made for Saturday 3pm
-
I can see this being a Sunday game.
No chance. It won't be on TV and it only clashes with Bitters vs Gateshead. Be lucky if there are 35K in total at both games.
-
I can see this being a Sunday game.
In the First and Second Round, a whole host of ties were moved to Sunday at 2pm, even if they weren't being shown live... so that BBC could show highlights just a few seconds after they'd occurred. Pretty ludicrous if we get moved for that reason, and likely to knock at least 5,000 off the crowd too.
That said, Blackpool play a day before us, New Year's Eve compared to New Year's Day, so if it does get moved to Sunday it might suit us from a footballing perspective.
-
4 games over 9 days is going to be tough.

That would be wank to be moved for that reason. And they wonder why crowds are down for the FA Cup when they mess around with it. If it was a Sunday I probably wouldn't go, Saturday 3pm and I would.
-
Same here , Sat 3pm count me in even if it is a B team. Sunday I'm not sure id attend.
-
Depends on what time on Sunday. I think it will remain a Saturday game.
-
Good draw. They're hopeless. They're on their way to Portsmouthville. Surely we can't fuck it up. Surely??
-
I've got Blyth in the Road to Wembley thread, fuck me they'd better win, no way I want to be stuck with that shower of shite!
It would only be for one round
-
The cup is a week earlier than I thought. Therefore I can't go regardless of whether it's moved
-
Good draw. They're hopeless. They're on their way to Portsmouthville. Surely we can't fuck it up. Surely??
Exactly, as easy as Sheff Utd at home.
-
Can't see this being on the telly. Saturday 3pm kick off. Proper 3rd round FA Cup tie it is then!

They did win at the weekend.
But only against some other lowly team.

O dear me and my dad were at Blackpool the weekend and went Saturday supporting them against the sty dwellers. He said we would get them in the cup. will have to get one of them half n half scarves
-
Could be my first trip to VP this season to witness in flesh the revitalised Lamberts` mighty claret and blue army .... unless we lose to the Baggies , in which case - feck it :)
-
Good draw.
-
It's our year . I can feel it.
-
Blythe captain has called the nose draw an anti climax. Priceless

With the way gate receipts are split in the cup it will go someway to paying off Blues' debt.

Kind draw. Thankfully we have a really good record against lower league opposition in cup competitions - what could possibly go wrong?
-
It's Blyth v Blight.

Baggies Saturday home games are the same as theirs, so that shouldn't be a consideration.
EDIT:
ignore post, I forgot blues are away :-[

So was Sheff Utd last year. Just a pity Mr Lambert didn't see it that way.
-
Looking back at the team he played last year v Sheff Utd it still featured the likes of Delph and benteke, Weimann and Westwood .
I think their mindset had been affected by his comments pre-game though as they didn't look fully interested or motivated .
-
We have only ever drawn Blackpool twice before in a cup.
1971 league cup R4 match at theirs (which I went to) and a 1938 FA Cup game at ours (which I didn't).

Part-timer, bad fan.

I would think that as we're playing Thursday it will be moved to Sunday, as will most ties. At least it's not going to be the Friday night TV selection thankfully.
-
Fantastic draw for Blackpool. Bit of 'giant' killing will lift their spirits.
-
3 home games in a week. Sunderland , palace , Blackpool .
-

Piston broke!

I can see this being a Sunday game.
What's your name, Louis Van Gaal? It's what football in England is all about!
-
Bit of a middle of the road kind of draw, but I will take it for the third round. With this being Villa you can't take anything for granted but if we are in decent form at the time then I think we should get through. Will be interesting to see what sort of crowd we get for this. Might consider going if I can get a reasonably priced ticket.
-
Presumably Lee Clark will be installed in Blues hall of fame if Blackpool turn us over.
Just hope this season we take the cup competition seriously
-
Like we did last season when we played virtually a full-strength team?
-

I was and wasn't as well. Went to Blackpool on an early train and had to hide behind a pillar at New St. Station as one of the lecturers from the day release college where I was supposed to be that day (Matthew Boulton in Brasshouse Passage, seeing as you ask) got off the train on her way into her work. A fair bit of trouble after the match following our 1-4 defeat.

I remember walking on the sands before the game and being amazed at how far out the sea was - hundreds of yards as metres didn't really exist then. In the old days. But not very, very old.
-
Like we did last season when we played virtually a full-strength team?
I was talking more about the managers condescending comments the day before. Yes we did pick a strong side, but they appeared demotivated by Lambert's remarks about not being botherered about the cup when - in fairness - he was too honest for his own good.

I'd never have recognised him!
-
Are we to assume the tie will be played on either Saturday 3rd or Sunday 4th?
-
Yeah. There have been no Monday games so far. We're playing on Thursday so won't be on Friday. Blyth v Blues will be the Friday game I reckon.
-
Was reading the BBC article about the 3rd Round Cup draw and I was shocked by this:-
Ipswich will seek a first fourth-round appearance since 1993 when they meet Southampton at St Mary's.
So they've lost in the 3rd Round of the Cup every year for over 20 years?!?!

Looks a load of crap according to EFS. They've made round 4 and 5 a bunch of times since then.

We beat them away in at least the 4th round in 96 for a start.

As many as half of the games are likely to be moved (apologise for the Der Sturmer link).

-
I wouldn't be devastated if our New Year's day fixture was moved to the following Wednesday.
Assume the FA Cup game would still be on the Saturday. They're not going to be desperate to watch us at home to Blackpool.
-
The Premier League game will stay on crappy New Year's Day. It's the FA Cup games which might move.
-
Fucking Sunday! Probably won't go now.
The date has been set for Villa's third round FA Cup clash with Blackpool.
We face the Tangerines in B6 on Sunday January 4, with a 3pm kick-off.
The match will not be televised.
Blackpool, of the Championship, are managed by former Birmingham City boss Lee Clark.
The last time we faced Blackpool at Villa Park saw Gerard Houllier's side win 3-2.
Stewart Downing, Nathan Delfouneso and James Collins scored the goals that night.
The only time we have played the Tangerines in the FA Cup was in January 1938, a match Villa won 4-0.
Eric Houghton, Frank Broome, Ronnie Starling and Frank Shell hit the goals.
Villa eventually reached the semi-final before going out to Preston North End.
The last time we won the competition was in 1957 when we defeated Man Utd 2-1 at Wembley, Johnny Dixon lifting the trophy.
-
On the brightside, it's an extra day's recovery for the players. No excuses. Win please Villa.
-
I can live with 3pm Sunday. Any ticket prices announced yet?
-
Sunday? Bugger that.
-
I know it's not ideal. But is going to a match on a Sunday really that much worse than going to a match on Saturday?
-

Yes, if trains are involved.
Might as well nail you tackle to a block of wood as even contemplate it.
-
I know it's not ideal. But is going to a match on a Sunday really that much worse than going to a match on Saturday?
Football should be played on Saturdays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Now and then on Mondays and Fridays (e.g. Tranmere). The only reason for Thursdays is a fixture pile up or 3rd/4th cup replays etc. Sundays should be right out.
-
With Saturday kick-off time at 3pm only.

How can a Sunday match, when just about everyone has the whole day off, possibly be a less convenient time than a Monday-Friday?
-

You won't bother trying to get a ticket if we make the final then?
-
Going on the past experience I had in 2000, no.

You try getting a train on a Sunday. It adds 1 1/2 there and just had a look and fuck me it's 2 hours extra on the way back!
-
I have more sympathy with those travelling from a long way away. I can't understand though why some fans seem devastated at the idea of giving a Sunday afternoon up to watch Villa play in the World's oldest cup competition.
My main concern is whether we win or not. Blackpool have no game on New Year's Day, we do. The extra day's rest increases our chances of progression.
-
FFs that is the Sunday before most schools and work folk will go back to work on Monday 5th Jan. !!
-
So? It's still a day off. Unless you work or go to school hundreds of miles from Villa Park, it won't be a problem.
I assume those who are already making their excuses for not attending won't ever criticise clubs/players/the FA/the media or anyone else for "not taking the FA Cup seriously"?
-
Sunday was always likely especially with our fixtures, shit I know but the extra day might see us through.
-
My point was it's a Sunday and the last day of the holidays. I will probably go but work will be at the back of my mind annoyingly.
-
Wouldn't work have been at the back of your mind anyway? Now you have a welcome distraction as you get to watch Villa play.
-
Hoping tickets will be £10 and £5 kids
-
They'll be either £10 or £15, depending on what arrangement we come to with Blackpool I imagine.

Your beginning to sound like a 'bigger fan then you'.
I thought better of you
-

Well if it's £10 north lower I'm happy. That's a fair price .
-
Not sure how many tickets we'll need to give Blackpool, maybe North Standers will be moved? I imagine it should be okay though as playing us won't be such a big deal for them seeing as they were in our division not long ago.
As for "better fan than you"... no, I acknowledge there are many who put far more time and effort into the Villa than I do. Those who follow the club all round the World for pre-season and the Amfys of this World who give up their free time to campaign for fellow fans.
I just want as many fans as possible to attend this game as some of our recent cup gates have been enbarassing and was attempting to dissipate some of the antipathy to the Sunday game.
-
At least it wasn't a Sunday evening 7pm kick off or whatever it was against Utd the other year.
-

Having a go isn't the way to go about it.

I believe I made a valid point. Plenty moan about the cups not being taken seriously, and yet attendances (not just ours) consistently show that fans don't seem to care either.
-
Alex Ferguson brought the trophy to it's knees and it's still not properly recovered. No thanks to the TV firms either.

It wasn't him; the FA 'asked' them to withdraw.

Which point? An extra days rest, being played on a Sunday, fans not caring about the cup or all of them?
-
I don't blame Ferguson or Man U (although the bad losers certainly degraded the League Cup in a massive strop cos Villa ruined their treble and York knocked them out).
Had Man U refused to withdraw from the FA Cup and not entered FIFA's World Club Cup, they'd have been derided for ruining England's chances of hosting the 2006 World Cup.
For my money the FA Cup's reputation dwindled when the Premier League became an all-encompassing money machine and staying in it became so vital for clubs that they'd rest players in the cup rather than risk being under strength in their next league game.
It was further undermined when UEFA's showpiece competition morphed into the game's greatest cash cow and finishing fourth became more important than winning the FA Cup (to Chief Executives and shareholders, at least).
Anyway, I still wanna see us win it... at least once, in my lifetime, pretty please!

All of them I guess.
We do have an extra day's rest which is a good thing for our chances of progression.
I'm not sure why a game being played on a weekend day is automatically much worse than a match being played the weekend day before.
Our attendances certainly suggest that fans don't care much about the cups these days.

Is it particularly different to the 50 or so other Sundays in the year when people have work and school the following day?

Yes. It's the Sunday at the back end of the Christmas holidays. Second only to the Sunday at the end of the long summer break.
-

Fair point. It was a quid pro quo deal though.
-
The difference with this game is that we pretty much knew it would be a Sunday when the draw was made, with us already having a game Thursday. The date has been announced before tickets have gone on sale so although it doesn't suit me personally I can't have any real complaint.
League games being moved after I've bought a season ticket is another matter, as are games being moved after fans have booked trains and flights.
-

Oh come on. Are we still blaming shit FA Cup attendances on a one-off decision forced on Man Utd? Really?

How?
-
I never got why they didn't just in it and just field the reserves. Clubs were already fielding weakened teams in cups and I think it was only round 3 they missed.
-
Competition rules allow only for the first team to enter and they couldn't be in two places at once. You can play reserve team players but they would be representing the first team.

They started the diminutive cycle. Since then there have been a series of contributing factors. The Beeb are on overdrive to try and reignite the magic, hope they do some good.
-
As I said, had Man U refused to enter the World Club Cup, they'd have been hung out to dry for costing England the World Cup hosting rights. I don't think we can attribute too much blame to Man U, on this occasion.
"Man U ruined the FA Cup by withdrawing" is second only to "the Council banned Christmas" for ludicrous myths that get trotted out at this time of year.
-
Point taken.
Yet all along what chance did we really have of landing the WC 2006??
-
None whatsoever. Shouldn't have gone back on the deal we made with Germany.
But nobody was saying that at the time, so Man U would've been castigated had they not travelled to Brazil.
-
Sunday Jan 4th. 3pm. Not on TV.
-
FFs that is the Sunday before most schools and work folk will go back to work on Monday 5th Jan. !!

Yes. It's the Sunday at the back end of the Christmas holidays. Second only to the Sunday at the end of the long summer break.
I think you'll find that most people who work are back on January 2nd, not January 5th. And do many people apart from teachers and schoolchildren have a 'long summer break'?
And even if everybody did, what difference does it actually make? Because you have to go to work the following day rather than two days later, does that mean you have to sit at home and mentally prepare yourself rather than going to a football match?
-
Some people like myself, prefer a Saturday kick off, so I can leave the car at home and have a couple of extra beers afterwards, without having to think about going home early because I have work the next day. But, looking at the fixture list over the festive period, it does make sense to move to the Sunday.
-

I can fully understand that sentiment. I'd be far more likely to go to a Saturday game than a Sunday game for that very reason.
It's the fact that it is somehow worse because having to go work on Monday 5th January after a Sunday game is apparently massively different to all the other 'going to work on Mondays' that happen after all the other Sunday games which I find ridiculous.
-

Since I've retired I've made a point of getting up "as usual" on Mondays...I then go downstairs, make a cuppa and go back to bed to do the Grauniad crossword/s. It's Hell. But all part of my preparation for the gruelling day/week ahead.
So...yes!
UTV!
Up the workers!
-
What the hell is this game kicking off on a Sunday for when it's not on the telly?
I was looking forward to a sat 3pm kick off on FA Cup 3rd round day. Jeez!
-
I think it's because we play on Thursday Jan 1st.
-
Yep the problem is PL matches on the Thursday even if it's NYD.
-
To get a crowd above the 20K mark, I surmise the club may well have to sell tickets for 8 blackjacks and a gobby.
-
The B6 encounter takes place on Sunday January 4 with a 3pm kick-off.
Prices are:
North Stand Lower/Family Stand £10 [adults] and £5 [U18s],
Holte End/North Stand Upper £15 [adults] and £8 [U18s]
Trinity Road/Doug Ellis £20 [adults] and £10 [U18s
-
Ta for info.
-
Seeing as the Trinity Road is never, ever full, wouldn't it be an idea not to have it more expensive in there?
-
Prices have to be agreed with Blackpool, maybe they wanted those prices?
-
Maybe, it seems odd they'd specify one stand being more expensive than the others though. Plus I think you only have to consult with the opposition if you want tickets below £15. If they're £15, they can't argue. This may be wrong but it's in the back of my mind somewhere...
-
Won't they shut the upper trinity for this one ?
-
They have
-
£20.........Crazy pricing for what will be a cold dreary Sunday and there's me thinking £15 would of been steep.
Why isn't the online ticket office open 24/7. I don't see any reason why it shouldn't be online in the early hours of the morning.
-

Plus the 2 quid "fuck you" tax if you have the temerity to not buy your tickets with cash. I can see a 10k crowd for this one. Oh and the policy of not selling cup tickets on matchdays is a good one too if you happen to live in Tamworth. I loved that one when I tried to buy league cup tickets on a matchday in August.
-

We don't want to attract the wrong sort of people to the posh part of the ground.
NB - Not that I'll be there anyway
-
Brigada 1874 will be moving to the top half of L7 for this one like we did for the Orient game. This gives us a bit more space for others to get involved and hopefully inject a bit of atmosphere into what could be a bit of a quiet game.

I'm bringing a couple Villa-virgins so may plot up there to kid them that VP is a seething mass of fanatical fans...

They did used to offer flat rate throughout the ground for LC games. I know because the only time I've sat in new upper Trinity was vs Luton in 02/03.

The more the merrier mate. Hopefully your mates won't see the blocks of empty seats stretching the length of the trinity and witton!
-
Around 40,000 expected. Fans, not empty seats!
-
I won't be going to this because it is the day before I am due back in work. The trains are shit on Sunday evening's and we have 2 home games that week already.

Really?
-
According to Pravda.
-
For the Man United game, I see, but this is the Blackpool thread!

I'm an idiot.
-
You are a PravdaBot, Leeg.
-
Excellent effort by all those who moved over to L7 today, loud and passionate throughout including shoes off and crowd surfing !
Keep it up.
