The Palace game is still showing on the AVFC website as Monday 27/10 KO 20:00, have I missed something ?
-
QPR next Monday, not Palace.
-
First time I'm looking forward to this. I could walk (40 mins or so) to the ground from mine.

My Mum's 70th is coming up and as a present I hope to get her, myself and my antie tickets for this as long as there are still tickets left when they go on general sale. Good value too with £21 for me as a student and the same each for them as over 65's. Just hope it is a decent game and we can break our Selhurst curse.

Hope she's got a sense of humour.

Well it will be interesting years ago when we lived in Peterborough we used to go to games together often, and the only game we have been together with was for the return of MON with Sunderland a couple years back and that was 0-0. I think we should get a few goals this time at least.
-
A decent game? A few goals? You are on the correct club's forum Gregory?

Didn't say we would get any of the goals! Anyway I am staying positive Palace are not the same prospect under Warnock as under Pulis, it will still be a tough match, but one I can see us getting something from.

I hope you get a better view than I did last year. Even standing up I couldn't see the top left hand corner of the pitch and my missus sat down in the end and didn't bother watching as being 5'2" she couldn't see a thing.
Mind you, she didn't miss much.

It will be my first visit so will be interesting to see what kind of ground it is. My Mum's been before and she liked it.

It's the poorest in the league by some distance.

I'm guessing the last time you went to Burnley was when it was opened by Queen Victoria......but yes, Selhurst Park is a shit tip.
-
I don't know I think people are just down on these grounds because they are so small and don't always seem up to top flight standards. Am expecting a decent atmosphere though.

At least you can see all the pitch at Burnley.

Are the club giving free coach travel for this game ? Sure I read it somewhere online.

I think the first 5 coaches are free
-
Have booked tickets for this one god knows what sort of shape we will be in by the time of game or even who our manager will be ;)
Should be fun though matches against Warnock teams always are.
-
Why are they leaving it so late to send out the tickets?
-
To create a bit of excitement.
If you think about it....
-
What time will the coaches leave to make ko for this ?

Sunday.
-

To be fair, they probably left Selhurst Park a week ago.

Are you going along?
-
Well, I've had my free ticket for Coach No 2 for four weeks but still no sign of tickets for the match! They'd better arrive by Saturday so I can let my younger son, who lives in London, have his ticket for the game when I see him at Burnley.
As FMWMU says, it's really exciting stuff. ;)
SV: 2.00 p.m., so may just arrive in time for second-half!
-
Following a totally unnecessary 20 minute stop on the way that lasts 50 minutes, meaning we should get there by about 6. We'll get there about 2 minutes before ko!
UTV!

Yes mate but will go straight from work and train it back

If you leave now, you might get there for the game next season (hoping we are both still in the Premier League). You travel on any transport you can until you get to the wilderness and then you have to walk for at least 40 days and 40 nights. Then you will see a sign to the ground. Follow the Yellow brick Road for 1000 miles and then you will see the lights. Shit, that's just a UFO, but at least you know you are getting close. It should only take you a further millennium groping through the fog to reach the game, only to find when you get there, you can only see past the penalty area due to heavy fog.
I tell you, it isn't worth it.

Tickets landed today.
-
You got mine, Si?
Don't leave the country......
-
Why are they leaving it so late to send out the tickets?
We've had this problem. I ordered them a few weeks back when they went on general sale and they are supposed to be sent to my Mum's address and still have not arrived. The problem is that we are both setting off to London today for the week so if she doesn't have them by today then we are going have to arrange to pick copies up on the night. When Mum asked last week they told her that the club had not recieved them yet. It will be alright on the night (as far as the tickets go), but blimey talk about a mess...
BTW am going for a 1-1 here. Palace will be lifted by their win over Liverpool and it can be a tough place to go (not least if you are Villa), but then again things are looking a little better for us and the returning Benteke will be a plus for us.
-
I was at the B6 ticket office yesterday and the Palace tickets were not physically with villa yet .
-
Just popped home from the office and mine have finally arrived; hope that yours have too, GB.
Suspense over!

There's a few of us meeting up at the Railway next to Streatham Common station www.therailwaysw16.co.uk
At 5 on Tuesday, for all those that don't like drinking piss at a under staffed and over crowded wetherspoons.
