Title: Villa Flops Win Annual Lottery
Post by: paulcomben on September 30, 2014, 07:49:46 PM
Michael Bradley, Liam Ridgewell and even Robbie Keane are among the highest earners in MLS, somehow justifying seven figures a year.

Bradley barely played for us and his time at Roma proved that he's a more than decent player. Keane is the highest scoring current international. Ridgwell I'll give you, but it depends on how much he's earning, surely? 20k a week, while massive money to you or me isn't huge money for a professional footballer.

Keane wasn't a flop for Villa was he? His goals kept us up the Mcleish season. I did hear that Bradley had done pretty well since he left Villa. Didn't he play in Germany for a time?

Luke Moore also plays with Bradley I believe. I bet he's doing alright for himself out there. Didn't realise Ridgewell went to the MLS. Fair play to him that a good move for him. Beat plodding away at a Championship side (if he's lucky).

Only before he played for us.

Went from us to Chievo, to Roma, to Toronto.

The accuracy of the list has already been questioned Stateside

Kaka's top of the list but he's listed as a player for a team that's never played a game and only has five players.

Based on that criteria, Lampard should also be on the list but isn't.

Also, David Villa is down to earn only $60,000 PER YEAR when New York City commence play next season. Does anyone seriously think that's all he's being paid ?

Rob Earnshaw's down as getting approx $200k. I'm sure that he could get more than that in the Championship or League 1, so fair play to the bloke for going to MLS

Dollar bills are a good deal more absorbent and kinder to your skin than twenty pound notes I'd imagine.
