Paul Lambert is a big admirer of the claret and blue faithful - and he's inviting you into Villa Park.
Boss Lambert has organised for a special open training session to take place at B6 to help supporters and stars bond even more than usual.
The exciting event takes place on the morning of Thursday October 30.
Grandparents, mums, dads and kids are all invited as the new boss puts his squad through their paces.
You'll be able to get up close and personal with the summer signings like Tom Cleverley, Philippe Senderos, Joe Cole, Carlos Sanchez, Aly Cissokho and Kieran Richardson.
Then there's established favourites like Gabby Agbonlahor, Brad Guzan, Andreas Weimann and Ron Vlaar.
You can also see our young stars too like Jack Grealish.
The likes of Roy Keane, Scott Marshall and Andy Marshall will be heavily involved as Lambert watches on intently.
Tickets are today available to season ticket holders.
They are available to Villa Cash and JV-Life members from Tuesday and they go on general sale on Wednesday.
The event is free for season ticket holders - although you will still need to book your seats.
It is £1 for Villa Cash and JV-Life members as well as £2 for all other supporters.
There is no booking fee for the event.
When buying online from the ONLINE BOX OFFICE we advise you use the Print-at-Home facility for your own convenience.
You can also get hold of tickets by contacting 0800 612 0970 or visiting either ticket office at Villa Park or New Street.
As well as the chance to watch training, there will be lots of competitions on the day - and also 'one day only' discounts on merchandise and tickets.
After the training session on the pitch there are several great events to attend off it.
All JV-Life members that purchase a ticket are automatically entered in to the draw to attend our JV-Life press conference.
Last year, Fabian Delph, Nathan Baker and Matthew Lowton were quizzed by our junior reporters, so make sure you're in the draw this year.
You can watch OUR VIDEO from last year.
There is an opportunity to enjoy afternoon tea in the Cornerflag - followed by a full two hour stadium tour.
The event begins at 1pm with the stadium tour beginning at 2pm.
The prices are £12.95 [adults], £7.95 [U16s] and free [U2s].
There is also a family football themed lunch in the 1874 Suite.
It starts at 12noon and lunch will be served up until 2pm, with disco and party games from 1pm.
The prices are £12.95 [adults], £9.95 [U16s] and free [U2s].
At both events, there will be an opportunity to have photos taken with the club's trophies.

Thank you, Villa are definetely more fan friendly since Randy took over.
-
Anyone been to one of these?
Is it just training, or is there usually other things going on to keep the youths entertained?
-
Only gluttons for punishment need apply.
-
I'm quite tempted to go for a quid. Is anyone else going?

We want a full report and what they actually do in training. I'm willing to guess that very little time is devoted to the beautiful art of the throw-in.

Or the through ball for that matter. Or indeed any pass forward that is shorter than 50 yds.

If as much effort went into improving the team as it does into these sort of events than surely it would benefit us more. We're a football club, not a bloody community centre

Pathetic.
You're an idiot.
-
If what we see in matches is the highly-polished, finely-tuned culmination of what happens in training, I think I'll get meself a jigsaw instead...
UTV!
-
I took the kids to the first 2 of these sessions that the club did, when O'Neil was manager. There were 12,000 there - I had to explain to my kids that I'd been to first team games with fewer spectators...
It was funny watching John Roberston doing some sessions, strolling round the pitch in his shell suit like 8 Ace
Kids enjoyed it. It was free then though

Less of that please. You can make your point without resorting to insults.

It is free for ST holders, you just have to book a ticket.

I'll probably go.

What I mean is that its all very well putting on these sorts of events and thats a way of getting players and fans to mix. But I'd rather see more investment in the playing side to make us a better and more easy on the eye side.
Public sessions, functions and kids activities are all well and good, but the most important aspect of any club is surely giving us a more competitive team.

Of course we want the team to be better, that goes without saying. At the same time, there's no harm in these training days either. It's for kids mainly and they enjoy it. I don't see what the problem is.

But to put in in perspective, the players will be training anyway, so why not do it at Villa Park, and the club will probably make a profit once you take into account the money spent on merchandise. Plus it helps get the kids interested, you know, the next generation of fans, and...you know, I don't even know why I'm trying to explain, I cannot see a single downside to this whatsoever!
We all want more investment, but to complain about an open training day which, even if we don't end up making a bit will cost less than what Darren Bent earns every time he has a shit, seems like you are desperately trying to find fault in anything the club do at the moment.

I went with my wife, son and daughter in the MON days and we were in the front row of the lower Doug Elllis. It was Ok. I went again with my son a couple of years ago, but only because we combined it with the stadium tour and meal and Q&A with Brian Little, Tony Morley and Ken McNaught. We were in the North Stand that time and there were loads of youngsters there seemingly without their parents running round all the time. I wouldn't bother again but it is worth going once.
-
Well I bought my ticket today.
-
Went to one with the kids when O'Neill was manager and actually had some belief we were going somewhere. My sympathy is with parents currently trying to work up some enthusiasm forbthis years event.
-
The ticket office rang me today to see if I was aware that this event was taking place and if I planned on taking Freddy and/or Bentley to it.
-
Got tickets but having second thoughts now
-
I'd rather set fire to my legs.

Had bought tickets, had planned to go but sorry kids, it is going to be miserable.
Nice one Lambert, ruined a day out.
-
I would actually like to go, just to see what it is they work on.
-
It'd be funny if the players walked out of the tunnel to a chorus of boos from pissed off 12-year old boys. Maybe a few "Lambert Out" banners as well....
-
I think it's quite comical reading the club's description of this event after the events of last night.
Don't get me wrong, I think these events are a great idea but this could turn out to be another Joe Bennett twitter scenario.

Very good Des!
-
Will the kids be given cardboard arrows and made to stand by the goals?
-
I daren't go - I might get picked for Sunday's game.
-
It's not a very popular event. Despite ignoring all the emails I had a phone call from the club today but my "juniors" are not interested at the moment.
-
I'm going. It will probably rain.
-
Was going to go and force my lad along, but Monday just drained another bucketload of hope out of me and I can't be bothered now.
We'll go someone and have some fun.

Directions to the event:
Bodymoor Heath training ground. Head towards the cursed manor, turn left by the "Unlucky Thirteen" Pub. Go straight until you see the Haunted Burial Ground sign (which Bodymoor was built on top of). You will know the turn off because of the paramedic van just outside the gate loading in the latest injured player.

Well that ruins an already pretty unfunny joke on my part :(

Right, despite all your pm's begging me, i'm not getting you a Lambert autograph now!

I scored seven goals last night at Futsal. Think I should pop down and show the lads the art of scoring.

Ha ha, oh go on!
-
At least our goalkeepers will finish training full of confidence, having not seen a single shot go past them.
-
Presumably temporary fencing will be erected around the pitch for the occasion to assure the safety of the players and management?

Tonev's gone to Celtic, don't worry.
-
Very good
-
So, how's it going...Lambo break down in front of the kiddies and tell them how it's morally wrong to be paid lots of money for being naughty and crap at work?
-
Did Lambert get booed?
-
I had a couple of texts from the ground but 'The News at Shin' was not as detailed in its reporting as 'Sox Sports News' is
-
There were a couple of half-hearted attempts.
-
Two men on stilts, Bongo-Cam, Benteke-Cam and Kiss-Cam. Repeat for over an hour. Then came the
clowns first-team squad.
-
Main thing was I bought a snowman. Even if I told Leeg it was a penguin!
I wonder how many took advantage of the 20% off half ST today. Even allowing for us being crap at home, those prices for PL games were a bargain.
-
Fool. I got this for Freddy:
(https://fbcdn-sphotos-c-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-xaf1/v/t1.0-9/10710546_10152845204687658_5888430052021505802_n.jpg?oh=cf14af5b9f4e7f582f158b1de14b4a56&oe=54E6E9BA&__gda__=1425061902_8eb29debd2bcd81dae8e48da79a6a3fb)
£45 for a kids shirt. Extortionate, but they did have a 20% discount day.
-
So, anyone who was there - how did they look?
-
Leeg looked like he usually does.
-
PWS looked half-asleep.
-
And Freddy looked like he needed a pee.
-
They did drills with 4 - 5 attackers against 1 or 2
defenders (we only had 3 fit Cb's) they also worked with 2- 3 balls in quick succession. Still struggled to score :-[
-
It would have been nice if players came running out and clapped the fans. Just seem so out of touch with reality. At least we know okore is good to play
