1 For entering and above 1000 out
First guess only counts.
Editing posts - will result in that guess being null and void, with just the 1 point awarded for entering, that week.
No guesses after Kick Off.

Ok here they are. The first results.
43 old teams had entered and 19 new ones, by kick off today.
Old teams were kept in order of finishing last year.
Then I did the promotions and sorry, relegations, between the 3 old divisions.
This took me to 2 divisions of 20 and 3 teams at the top of Division 3.
Then I added the new teams in order of guesses received, making 21 in Division 3.
If anybody else joins, the top 2 divisions can be extended to 22 again by moving players up, and adding to Division 3, like in the past after the first game has gone. Please see the relaunch thread for other points people have made.
Finally, I asked for other players' comments and have begun this round of results with a level playing field as suggested. Thanks for your comments. We begin with Hull for everybody.

Apologies - I am still coming to terms with the mechanics of this: it is a lot more difficult than I thought! I'll correct my tables here, but won't re-post the whole thing, if that is OK. Sorry. At the moment I am make=ing a couple of errors a week. I hope it will reduce as things become more familiar.

Rough and ready scores show that nobody got it spot on.
However, it's quite a big scoring round, so well done!

Nobody has the Brucie Bonus this season, yet, although Rotterdam and DazV both got 7 points last game for being within 50. Rotterdam was 20 away.
Fasth was just 4 away against Sunderland!

Again, please accept my apologies for the tables being so late, but now I have got the hang of them, the next results will be easy. (Easier.)
Huge thanks to Kevilla, I have anticipated the excel version and he has done a lot of work on it. It is not easy adding extra players, for one thing, and we have met some obstacles along the way. Hopefully, there's still a version which we can press into service soon. Until then, I hope that these tables will at least let you know how you have been doing, game by game as a running total.
It has been a lot more difficult to do this than I thought, but I'm learning as we go, so I really hope that players who got understandably disappointed, exasperated and maybe gave up before you wanted to will give this competition another chance.
Hope to see everybody in for Game 11, and I appreciate all the comments along the way.

You have 6 points for game 6 (cor!) 2 for Game 7 and then 1 each for 8, 9 and 10. Perhaps reading down the dodgy columns led you to your conclusion! Reading across is probably a better way to confirm your rolling totals from Game 3 through to 10. Hope this helps!

It's 4 up, 4 down, cdbullyweefan, I 've just looked it up! ( and edited other posts).
I invite any players who haven't guessed for a time to reinvigorate your teams in Game 15 against QPR, now up for your best shot.
Anybody who hasn't guessed by the end of the season will be relegated ( probably) and then... Well, I am considering creating a pub team division for teams who haven't moved since Christmas!
Actually...
I have been thinking about the end of the season and promotion / relegation, but also about the inactive teams. Previously, moribund teams were winnowed out through the season and nobody new could join after a few weeks. It has been different, this season.
Next time round, though, I thought it would be best to start as far as possible with the extant 1st and 2nd divisions after promotions and rellys and then, collapse the 3rd and 4th into one division 3 of active teams.
Any inactive teams from the end of this season would be able to get going initially by guessing like anybody else, and below Div 2, will become the rest of Div 3.
Of course new teams are welcome anytime and will join Div 3 initially next season, as well.
It makes it more interesting if teams are moving rather than standing still, so Div 4 would appear after 3 or 4 games, according to numbers joining and er, activity!
I thought I would ask for comments on this, as it needs thinking about now and in preparation for the new season!
Yes, I would be up for carrying on ( ooh er missus)! It's been a curve and a half but I have enjoyed it. Anyway, any thoughts, about anything?

If anybody guesses above this I am treating it as any other guess and scoring accordingly, using their numbers to determine how far away they are from the official total. Seems the fairest thing to do.
