Back to the days of swimming trunks tight fitting shorts and Villa almost world club champions.
Seems like a long time ago now.

And the dirty bast***s broke Sids leg
-
Sid broke his leg in a friendly
-
The match was played on a pitch of sand and with a beach ball from what I remember..
-
It was the following year Sid broke his leg in a friendly as he missed the entire 83/84 season.

Victoria Guimares?

Victoria Guimares?
It was in Spain against some random team iirc.
-
Looking it up i'm assuming it was either FC America or Polytechnica as we played both in Zaragoza in Aug 1983.

Remember listening to the game in bed on the radio via BRMB early on a Sunday morning. Seem to recall we had chances early on and Withe hit the bar. Gutted we lost. Also saw some grainy pics from the match on local tv the next day

IIRC Tony Butler did his prayer mat routine during the game. I remember setting my alarm and listening, but apart from that Butler thing I remember nothing about it.

Something in my brain tells me it was FC America. I think they were a Mexican team as I'm pretty sure it the guy who broke Sid's leg was named a 'Mexican bandit' by some. As for the Penarol game I remember listing to George Gavin's BRMB commentary whilst decorating my mum and dad's Christmas tree.

Pre-season match in Spain, I think.
-
I think it was grandly named 'The Zaragoza Tournament'.
