Always nice to see us giving them a good hiding.
Enjoy.

I was there and the game was played on my 18th birthday. I remember going to the club shop to buy the VHS of this game and the 5-0 one from a few weeks earlier. It is good to see the goals again, I haven't them in years.

Cracking goal by Bernie Gallacher
-
when was the last time we scored 5 times in a game at the Holte End ?
-
great stuff, never seen those goals before, thanks for posting.

The 13-0 season them that none of them ever remember. We could/should have got to double figures in the Simod Cup if we'd gone for it but we seemed to take it easy on them second half. 8K for a derby game, yoof of today would never believe it. Then again there was less than 20K for the League Cup game.

Football attendances were in a steady decline from the mid 80s. It all changed for the better at the World Cup 1990 and fans started to flock back. That's how I remember it anyhow.

I was at this match and seem to remember the noses lighting a fire in the away end! Not sure if it was this one or the 5-0 in the league cup? Anyone remember? I went to the first leg of the league cup match aswell 0-2. The black Andy gray scoring a screamer. Anyone got any clips of that match??

The fire in the away end was at the 5-0 in the League Cup. They were burning their scarves.

They probably don't remember due to the facts that we didn't have commemorative mirrors made to put up in pubs and homes and the fact there weren't many of them around at that time. Average gates that season of around 6,000 and eight games where they got less than 5,000! Still, at least the burning of the scarves worked. They got Wheldon out a few months later.
And got the Kumars instead.
