Title: Sheff Utd 1-2 Aston Villa 1994 and other Villa goals
Post by: Deano's Mullet on April 20, 2014, 09:06:08 PM: One of only two games we won following the 1994 League Cup Final win, no Saunders, Atkinson, Yorke or Whittingham available up front for Villa so Stefan Beinlich and Graham Fenton too up the mantle and we won this game quite comfortably after a dodgy start. Rico was scoring a lot of 20 yarders this season and this one was another mini classic from him.

My first ever Villa game live, we played pretty shit to be fair, but the scoreline and quality of our goals made it worth it! Allen's too, now that is old school love me a bit of maddog. As a manager he has become a bit of a lower league Ian Holloway that is if you don't count the championship as lower league.

And that was when MOTD was a really good show, used to have that whole show on tape (remember them?), even Goals on Sunday was watchtable back then, those were the days...
