The shirts should have a life of 3 seasons before a new one is unveiled but it's all about money these days and I expect it will be a new shirt every season for a long time to come .

Parents of young kids are under pressure to update the livery each year

They can just say "no". Or say if you do get a shirt it means you have to go without that XBox game or toy you wanted.
I don't think any parents give their kids everything they ask for, nor should they.

If the price of next season's shirt was determined by the full price multiplied by the proportion of home league points won this season, that would focus minds on winning soddin football matches. Currently, we would be paying 30% of full price.

When it was launched, the majority of people seemed to like the homage to the 81/82 Le Coq Sportif shirt.
Now last seasons, or the FXPro with the chequered sides, then you're in business.

It's coming towards the end of the season, the club have probably got surplus stock they want to get rid of.
I have emails daily from shops offering me discounts, in particular Wallis, offering 24% for 24hours, every wednesday at least.

Fucking hell, i see "the club is bringing out a new kit - fans being screwed over" thread has started early this season.
Whatever happened to choice? Buy if you want, or not. Say yes or no to your kids based on your values, finances etc etc etc.

Only the home at the moment. I want the away but am too tight to even pay the current £25 as I hope that will be a tenner soon.

It will be. Still with Macron for another two years and there'll be two new kits next season, home and away w/ this season's away being the third for next year. Speaking of which, any news on them? I read a thread on VT, something about a bloke at Villa asking a poster for their input with what the fans want to see but no solid news.
