For any old 'uns going to Cardiff, be aware that Villa are advertising tickets at £20 for over 65's when it's actually £20 for over 60's as shown on the match ticket.

Thanks for the tip, Tommy. Another thing to watch for, if you are in the away scheme, is the various concessions that other clubs do. If one of your group is below 21, but not a juvenile, they will often qualify for a discount for u-21 or u-18 etc, but the club will not tell you this. You have to alert them to it on each occasion.

Good point Jon. My younger son has got an Under 22's £20 ticket.

Is it a free coach game? I can't get the website to work properly on my phone.

Yes. First ten coaches are, I believe.

Cheers Pauline.

Its only a small allocation down there for away fans and given its a new ground and not too far away, it will probably sell pretty quickly.
-
What time is KO? according to the OS it's 7.45pm.
-
It is 7.45 for TV.....televising a Tue night game for a change.

Ah sorry getting my days muddled - I was thinking it was a Saturday.

I didn't know it was on the tellybox.

Not your fault. Ever since Cardiff went on sale it's been listed as Saturday 11th February, despite it being a Tuesday. And the [16-20] criteria should actually be [under 22s]. I wonder how many 21 year olds have paid the full adult price due to that misinformation.
Farcical as ever. Where's that 'Moan about tickets' thread when you need it?!

Around 150 left.
-
Why only 2100 odd when the ground holds nearly 27,000? Entitled to 10%.
-
That is actually an increase of 300 on what the away allocation was in the Championship. There is a big hole in the away end, which is presumably where a good couple hundred seats are lost.
I assume they are able to cap it based upon safety grounds.
-
Not been to this new ground of theirs. Mind you, I never went to their old one either, although I walked past it once and it looked a bit of a dump. Another one to tick off the list I suppose.

Segregation probably.

Useful phrases:
Esgusodwch hen pennod i mi, ond mae eich gwraig yn edrych yn hynod debyg fel Piers Morgan - Excuse me old chap, but your wife looks uncannily like Piers Morgan.
Rydw i wedi bod yn yfed Ymennydd yn chwerw ers amser cinio ac rwy'n dal yn pissed. Ydych chi'n gwasanaethu Stella? - I've been drinking Brain's bitter since lunchtime and I'm still not pissed. Do you serve Stella?
A ydych Kuala Lumpur yn cuddio? - Are you Kuala Lumpur in disguise?

There's a hole in the away end at Arsenal. You still get the full entitlement of 3000 tickets.
Other clubs have taken 2600 to Cardiff this season. I understand there's a bit of leeway on the 10% or 3000 rule and many get away with a couple of hundred fewer as a result of segregation issues. Indeed for a period we gave c.2800 whereas now the allocation at VP is almost bang on 3000. But 2100? 600 less than we're entitled to when others have taken 2600 there? Doesn't seem right.
-
I wasn't aware anybody had taken 2600. Last season the allocation was 1800 in the Championship.
The club may of course have decided not to take the full allocation as it is a week night.
In any event, it should be better than Ninian. I recall the toilets there being an empty room with a gulley running around three sides of it for you to pee in. And nothing else.
-
Yeah 1800 is what Championship support Albion took there the other week. Just about managed to shift that allocation, no doubt with the help of KitmanPat giving away about 1700 freebies.
Man City and Everton took 2600, United took 2700 and Spurs took 2400. Seems to fluctuate a lot there. If there's the option to extend the segregation and take a couple of hundred extra tickets it'd be nice to see the club do that.
Very much looking forward to it anyway.
-
They might offer different allocations and we took a lower one. We've only taken 1600 tickets for Newcastle.
-
Unfortunately not going to this one - i have to take work when i can, gutted it wasn't still on a Saturday. Cardiff can be, no is a good night out, worth a stop over.
I will settle down to watch it on BT Sport.

Indeed. Although 1600's a lot more than we usually take to Newcastle. Sounds like they're selling relatively well on this occasion however.
-
There are approximately 350 left for Newcastle.

I'm really surprised about that considering the time of the game and the fact that it's on the telly box. Our travelling support really are superb.
