v Sunderland 1 point
v Arsenal 0 points
v Liverpool 0 points

The above should keep us about 3/4 points above the drop zone at end of January.

I think we need to get at least three points from those fixtures. I could see us getting a surprise point against Arsenal or Liverpool and losing to either Sunderland or West Brom. You know us.

Being as realistic as I can, I can only see one point being WBA at home.

Once Vlaar and Benteke return, we might be able to be more optimistic. Right now we are not capable of beating any PL side, home or away.

I'd actually snatch someones arm off if we were offered 2 points right now. A loss against Sunderland and the next 3 look iffy. West Brom is always a tight game. I think that'll be a draw, unless they do something annoying like hire a new manager in the next few weeks and then get that new manager boost.
Can only see 0 points from Arsenal and Liverpool.

I think we'll make hard work of it, but we'll beat Sheff Utd in the cup.

With or without Vlaar and Benteke I think we will beat Sunderland and Sheffield United and lose to Arsenal and Liverpool. With those two back we will beat Albion.

Sunderland. 1-1
Arsenal.  1-3
Liverpool. 2-0
Stripey filth. 1-1 or 2-2

2 points. I think that's too much considering the last 12 games (36 points) we've only picked up 10. It could of been 8 if luck wasn't on our side against Sunderland/Swansea.

1 Point - away at West Barcelona Albion

Win v Sheff Utd in the Cup (Replay) 2-1 at Bramall Lane after 0-0 at Villa Park.

1 perm signing - experienced midfielder
1 loan signing - Richard Dunnesque.

I'd not seen this thread.  4 points with WBA still to come makes some of the predictions seem a bit pessimistic to say the least.
Remarkably I think we're actually higher in the league than the end of december and possibly no closer to the bottom (points wise) either.

I'm not saying everything is great but clearly not as bad as a lot of the posters on this thread expected.  My biggest gripe is the lack of entertainment being served yet I understand there was a big improvement there too v Liverpool.

For me it shows there's opinion but also a link to credibility by various posters on how they view football and villa . Personally I've noted the people on here and think it's more than interesting how others see things. Granted predictions are based on sound football judgement observation and understanding of the game . I like to think people can develop and expand their football knowledge . With predictions  It's often good to put some thought into things otherwise you lose credibility in judging villa and premier league football
