Title: Everton away
Post by: Kingthing on December 12, 2013, 06:40:54 PM
Does anyone know when the next round of sky/bt sport games get announced? And also if this game is in danger of being postponed for any FA Cup game?

I'm planning on travelling from London and I'm hesitant to book the train and hotel.

Yeah Feb games were announced the other day, Everton remains at 3pm so you'll be fine unless there's snow or something!

Everton tickets sale dates released, 1,700 is a bit tight, does that mean we don't get the upper tier.

That's interesting, what's wrong with the bit in the middle? I would have thought that had the better view, I've not been for years and was planning on going there as they don't seem to be selling upper tier tickets.

Upper tier tickets are the second allocation.  If we take that allocation.

Is the upper tier worth the extra three quid? Only ever been in the lower section.

I was on the back row of the upper tier once and couldn't see, even though I was stood up!

Seemed a decent view when I was up there for the Tamuff game.

I've been in the upper 3 times I think, and the lower twice. View is better in the upper, as if I remember rightly the angle is a little steeper. It's quite flat in the lower.

My favourite away ground, but never seen us win. 3 draws 2 losses

Definitely.  The lower level is possibly the worst view in the Prem.

Conversely I've been there once and we won  :D

Wasn't a great view when I went in 2000.

I quite fancy going, but depends on whether my brother fancies going really.

Upper tier is definitely the better view. I had the back row once and was stood up but bent down to be able to see, if you get my drift. Took me ages to get my back straightened up after the game!

That's where I was too. It was the 4th or 5th round a few years ago and one of those very rare things at Goodison, a Villa defeat.

Plan to get my ticket for this tomorrow, paddock is worth the extra £3 IMO as there are no restricted views there, whereas the Lower Bullens has restricted views which they don't advertise when you get your ticket (robbing gits! Excuse the bad joke ;).

Can't see us taking the upper tier as well considering we took no more than 1500 last season which was also Sat 3pm.

A mate has got ours so i've not idea what shite view we'll have. I have stood upstairs at the back though and yes, you do need to lower your head to see all the pitch.

If anyone gets theirs tomorrow before 3pm can they please ask how many they have left?
My time is 3pm but I'd rather hang on for upstairs if we take more, can't see it though.

Different rules applied last season so they may go for the Upper if they can sell most of it.

Just got mine for the lower, they said if there was another allocation it would be possible to switch and pay the extra so I'd get in now if you can. Where did you get 3pm from? I didn't see any restriction on the ticket info page.

Thanks for that. I run a supporters club, and our time is usually 3, but it's not really advertised.

Just got 2 online, 36 quid a pop so must be the paddock.

Hopefully we go for the extra allocation now we're on the verge of selling out the lower so quickly.

Annoying thing is, they take the extra allocation and give the better seats to all the pissed up chavs.

If they take more and you've purchased your tickets downstairs you can swap them for the better seats..... with the pissed up chavs.

We've tried it several times.  Best to sit downstairs with no view.  -;)

I can't see us getting the upstairs as well.  Surprising really as I thought the demand would be there.

Just spoke to the TO and was told that my ticket was "on hold".

I asked what the problem was. They said, "there isn't a problem."

I asked why its it "on hold" then.

Apparently, to the TO, "on hold" just means "hasn't been sent out yet".

I don't know if it has been mentioned but Villa refused the upper tier seats and according to the Everton official site are now on sale to Everton fans

From Peter Lupson, the nicest man in the world.

If you're going up there St Luke's church (at the corner of the ground) hosts the Everton FC Heritage Society's  exhibition of memorabilia, artefacts, programmes, press cuttings, etc. before each home game. They relate primarily to Everton but there's a corner of the room devoted to the away team as we try to make away supporters feel welcome.
