Will this be one of those days that we silence the whining Mancs, with a big crowd gloating at their demise?

I think we'll hit 42,000 but won't quite make a sell out.

It's a weekend in the run-up to Christmas, being played at a stupid time and on the telly. Plus most of their fans, those that normally try to snap up seats in our stands, will have switched to a more successful team like Manchester City or Everton.

Not my guess but capacity is 42682, according to the Premier League Handbook.

Very close to full as despite being just before Xmas at a stupid kick off time I think people will be buoyed by Utd's poor form this season.

Then they'll look on here and slash their wrists.

First time I have ever been texted within a week before this match saying tickets still available.

Just looked at the select-a-seat and it looks very close to a sell out. Can't be more than 50-100 seats left.

Don't fall for that trick. I expect swathes of empty seats in the Upper Trinity. I have counted the spare seats on there before, only to end up 2000 out.

I'll second that Jon. Every seat shown as sold, but attendance was just over 41000.

The "hospitality" factor kicks in - companies are given tickets then the twats they give them out to decide they'd rather go shopping and have a frappydappydingdong coffee instead - cos that's what cool people do. "Could've gone to a big game today, but f**k it, I had to test some new moisturiser; ffs I'm not gonna ruin my personal grooming regime just cos some line manager wants me to bond!"
We're part of the "tick list" mentality of society I'm afraid!
"real" fans only make up 75% of the crowd - the rest are tourists.

Sadly the gate surprised me more than the result did :(
-
Biggest crowd down B6 for ages and we dish up that rubbish.
-
Only a handful got as many as 3 points for this.
Lambstewbert, Bren'D, Goldie7 and MJLions.
