Title: Good pubs for away fans
Post by: Ducksworthy on October 07, 2013, 05:24:11 PM: My Spurs supporting friend is going to Villa - Tottenham and would like some recommendations for good real ale pubs around Villa Park that let away fans in. I said he'd be pushed near the ground but I think he's looking at town as well (apparently starting at The Wellington near New St). Any ideas?

Actually, why doesnt he try the Jewellery Quarter and cab it in from there? There are a few to choose from.

Jewellery Quarter has a good choice of pubs with real ale and only a short walk/quick cab ride away from VP.

Post by: cheltenhamlion on October 07, 2013, 07:31:13 PM: He could be outside the ground in 5 minutes by cab if he tackled the Lord Clifden, for example. No bother with being an away fan either and it serves food. Ditto the Red Lion.

I'm racking my brain, I remember the name peppermint place but I can't picture it at all.

I'm racking my brain, I remember the name peppermint place but I can't picture it at all.
Top End of Broad Street next to the Shopping centre.
