Title: West Brom away
Post by: bones. on October 02, 2013, 06:09:43 PM
If anybody can help me out with a couple of tickets for the Albion away I would be very grateful. This is the first time for years the match has fallen on a date that I can manage and the first time ever for my daughter. Tickets will be gone before we are eligible, all our aways bar one were in the cup last year and we dont want to have to watch in silence from the wrong end so any help that anyone can offer will be very very welcome and doubtless worth a couple of bottles from our local brewery. :)

Does anyone have any inside knowledge as to when tickets go on sale ?

It's normally about 6 weeks prior to the game nowadays.

We normally get 2400 in the Smethwick and as many spares as we can buy up in the Rainbow stand, as the Bitters never sell out, even for their cup final.

Albion are due to start selling their tickets on the 30th October, so the away sales should come around then.

Really don't want to sit with the Smethwicks, so I'd like to join the que for this one, if I may...

The Ticketing Website is looking a bit strange.

Apparently the Baggies have moved from Smethwick to Norwich !!

Is anyone trying to ring the ticket office? I can't get through at all on the phone.  Comes up constantly engaged.

Are there tickets still left? I'm hearing what I hope are vicious rumours saying it's already sold out.

The eventually answered my call but it took about five minutes of re-dialiing and then twenty minutes of being on hold

That might be because of the erroneous webpage on the ticketing system that had merged the WBA and Norwich games

They're selling very quickly. Don't expect this to get beyond the 5 aways.

Anyone got any spare reference with 5 aways on?

I have purchased 5 today from my own references but still 2 short.

If not, anyone with 3 aways on?

Any help would be appreciated.

I have the Monday and Tuesday off. Speed Awareness course in the morning... drinking in the afternoon.

Not sure whether to go to the Ads or the Villa Rose.

Are there any tickets left ? 'no, it's sold out'
Oh just missed out have i ? 'no, it's been sold out 2-3 days'

Contacted the club this morning about West Brom tickets as this morning's home page update said the priority had changed. I spent about 5-10 minutes on hold to be informed that they'd sold out late last week. What's the point of the tickets page if it is not updated frequently?

I assume the extra possession the Bitters will have will come from Myhill/Foster picking the ball out of the net on a regular basis.

The website has always been crap at updating ticket info. As a rule of thumb, if the ticket button says 'More Info' instead of 'Find Tickets', you can assume that it's sold out.

What makes it so unlikely that we'll not beat a team currently above us on goal difference after a far easier run of fixtures, at a ground where we've lost once since decimalisation, when the only game we've lost away all season was to Kevin & Friends?
