That lovely landlady looks as if she's from the early 1950's!

Was that photo from the first ever episode of Coronation Street?

Doug's first economy, teacups that don't match and he's already flogged one of the flying ducks!
-
Footballers with their landlady was a classic photo opportunity back in the day. Then the landlady was phased out and replaced by footballers dogs. Which in turn were replaced by footballers and their Ford Escort XR3i.

Have fond memories of the days when chico played for the villa we even named our dog after him , even though we were in the old third division they were great times
-
we had a Jack Russell named after him

I've got a mate ten years older than me who at times of Villa induced excitement or large quantities of alcohol or both still likes to chant 'Chico, Chico Hamilton'. With a little handclap thrown in.
-
we had a Jack Russell named after him
We had a cat named after him. I met him once and told him. Probably not the most scintillating conversation he's ever had
You don't get landladies like that now do you - a nan type figure living in a terraced house near the ground, paid by the club to look after homesick teenagers and to fatten them up on bacon pieces and steak.
-
Typical Villa of the time.....not even providing her with a matching tea service!
Loved the guy one of my first heroes when times were certainly a changin'
-
We also had a cat named after him.
-
My mate had his budgie named after him. It was a sad day when Chico fell off his perch.

I'd always assumed you were his grandson. Have I missed something?
