Looking at that team and thinking what a brilliant player Kompany is.

That's a pretty good team. Fair play to Clacker getting into that company. Brad just belongs.

I marked out Ciaran Clark as a potential hero at the start of last season, so I was a year out.
I'm telling you, Ciaran is going to be a superstar.

Let's not get carried away. He played well yesterday but he needs to keep it up, especially with Okore being injured.

Would like to add a, 'Yay, UTV Ciaran!' to this encomium.
Also always liked him.

In fairness, he did not put a foot wrong at Arsenal, was not at fault for the Chelsea goal it was KEA not tracking the run that Clark was telling him to track, was in no way to blame for the Newcastle goal when he was on and played really well yesterday. I was especially impressed with his willingness to keep coming and winning the first header from the long ball. Something he has been suspect on in the past, he really looked a lot more powerful in his physical ability to compete.

He strikes me as a very intelligent person. I think the last year will have taught him an awful lot.

He'll be the closest we get to a second Gazza Bazza and play for us until he's 30 until a resurgent Leeds United poach him in their quest for Champions League football.

Like others on here I've been a big fan of Clark for a while, I think last year he was doing ok until the Chelsea game but as the captain and defensive leader that game destroyed his confidence.  He's come back well from that now and has had a very good start to the season.

That team would romp this league.

Don't get me started on Kompany. I think my son thinks I'm in love with him the way I regularly bang on about how good I think he is.

Clark was excellent and if continues like that it'll be brilliant.

Likewise, I was making all sorts of oooh and aaaah noises watching him in the manc derby yesterday.  Probably my favourite non-Villa player in the league.

I don't think Clark will get to that kind of standard, but he certainly has the potential to be a leading pl CB (with us obv).
