Just wondered what people thought here?
They are one of the top teams, and it would have been nice to have played them in a later round.
On the plus side it should get our players up for it and the atmosphere should be very good at VP so it being at home should be a positive. With a good result or performance it could be something to boost confidence for the league.

Could be a bit of an odd one this - AVB moaning about fixture congestion earlier in the week suggests he'll rotate, plus Lambert implied he'd do similar because of league priority/our players carrying a lot of knocks.
I have no idea how it'll go!

It's a bad time to be playing anybody at Home.
-
It's always a great time.

We're capable of beating anyone on our day
-
We always seem to punch above our weight in the League Cup,(Bradford apart),Ill reckon we'll do 'em.
So yes,a good time.

Pre-match thread now available.

Apart from the Benteke loss, i think it`s a brilliant time to play `em.

If you are Spurs I think you should be trying to win this cup as the league is out of their reach and Europe is such a miss-mass of fixtures, for them a high league finishing and cup is a good season it could lead to greater things.
Then again if they want to concede to us I'm not complaining!

prefer us away - we would win ;)

Don't we have a really shit record at the Lane though? Villa Park used to be one of their bogie grounds. Well I did say used to be....
