The trains from Leicester aren't great for this one so I'm considering the official coaches. Can someone tell me what they're like please? Is it pretty much straight to the match, watch the game and then straight home again? I assume there's no alcohol allowed?  I'm not looking to get plastered but I like one or two ales before kick off.

There is usually a service station stop on the way there and then straight through on the way back.

The coaches will typically arrive a decent amount of time before kick off so there should be time for a drink. They depart pretty sharpish after the match.

It would be appreciated if anyone had a couple of spare references for the Hull game also, I normally get tickets for most away games I can go to (6 last season) but with the club offering free travel to this game, I don't think I will for this, and I only live 10 mile from there, any help would be welcomed

There were 1000 left yesterday but that was before they went on sale to a fresh criteria today so I think you will miss out unfortunately.

I don't wish to worry the travelling support too much but it is highly likely that at least one of the coaches will break down.

All I'll say is that you should have a quick look round the bus for a familiar face before taking your seat.

I could tell you which coach number that is likely to be.

So got our tickets today and booked the coach, leaves at 9.30am. I know they play it safe but allowing five and a half hours to get to 'ull?

Thanks, sorted ours out, we're going up Friday night for a night in Hull  ??? Then the game
Go to the Yorkshireman pub, just around the corner from the train station. John the landlord, if he is still there, is a top bloke. And they have rooms to stay in. Hull has certainly changed over the years, all thanks to the University. Good city Hull, bit rough around the edges, but a good city.

Yorkshireman the gay bar? All around the train station has started to become the 'gay area'

If you want a night out round Hull Friday night; depending on your age you have either the 'old town' or Princess Ave (Prinny Ave) before either going to night clubs on George Street (Pozition) Beverley Road (Welly) or by Princess Quay (Sugar Mill). Or the Casino Napoleans that stays open til 6am. But if its just a few social beers etc I would recommended Prinny Ave but everywhere closes there about 1230am.

I'm after a spare for Hull if there's one going anywhere.

Thanks in advance.

Anybody who is planning to drive might want to know that the massive car park outside the ground is closed on Saturday (they are building a fair ground on it).

The Hull website is suggesting that people use the park and ride....for sat nav purposes HU4 7DY
