Enda Stevens has joined Notts County on a 28-day emergency loan. The 23-year-old left back will be eligible to play in County’s Capital One Cup second round game tonight against Liverpool at Anfield.

Good luck to him. Looked ok on the couple of times he made it into the first-team (Utd at home last season sticks in the memory). Think he's probably a bit too good for Notts County (with all due respect to them) so hopefully this'll be a decent shop-window for him.

good for him, and good luck. He needs to find a good level and Championship/League One might be it to cut out a solid career.

Probably not good enough for us but he should still have a decent career as a pro. A bit like Scott Murray.

Nice place to make your debut. Funny how a player can fill in playing for a Premier League team against the likes of Yanited and Chelsea and then a few months after find himself stuck playing in a league two divisions lower.
Then again, he went from the Irish Premier Division straight to the English one. I guess his natural place all along is somewhere in between, such as Notts County.

Good luck to him. Despite being a left-full back from Ireland I guess he was never going to be an Eamonn Deacy type, going to mass every Sunday morning and respecting Brummie women etc.

Good luck, and might mean I can be arsed to watch a bit of tonight's game. At least until Liverpool take the lead.

Good luck to him. He's not Premier League quality unfortunately. He slotted in reasonable solidly last season but in the long run there's not enough to suggest he's a top level player. I think League One is sensible at this point. He can cut his teeth, hopefully play regularly and work his way up to the championship. I would hope that Notts extend his deal later, if they can, but I expect him to move permanently before too long. He's an unknown quality outside of VP so this gives him a chance to catch the eye and get himself a move and hopefully regular footy.

Paul Lambert and coaching staff would have watched him for 15 months or thereabout, so he will know how capable he is.

I think lambert made his mind up much quicker than that , its just not that easy to move these unwanted players on .
