I take it as a sign of quality when a British band is under-appreciated here in Aus and a sign of shiteness when they are rated. In the former, Kinks, Small Faces, Jam, Dexys, Blur. In the latter, and I'd never seen that phrase before but I love it, The Trust Fund Wurzels. There was one match in the Lerner era in which we flirted with goal music.

I remember dancing around after we'd scored, only to be stopped in my tracks by the sound of Chelsea Dagger by the Fratellis ringing out over the PA.

There was such a groundswell of dissatisfaction regarding this to the General (it was before he did one) that it never happened again.

I can't believe how defensively Lambert sets the team out.

Fair play to Woodhall. Shouting a round for everyone in The Bartons after our 5-0 win over Man Ure must have cost a pretty penny.

Frank is organising running coke mules through Bremen again this weekend? That's a swizz, I haven't caught up with him in a while.

Nile Ranger could turn out to be Lamberts best signing based on his debut hat-trick.

Cheltenham Lion;

Honestly, you are fine, I can only have the one then I must get home.

I just said something interesting that doesn't want to make Cheltenham Lion want to punch me in my overly educated, sanctimonious, fat, fucking face.

Adam has put on no man tits at all since he started going out with Hayley.

Fuck me, Ken Watkins is like the wild man of rock.

I saw Jesus Dave earlier. A very gregarious fellow, he stopped for hours and spoiled us with his stories of following the Villa everywhere for years.

I can't make it this week, I am going to the tennis.

To be honest, I think the Olbiyun are a decent club.

How can you compete with Chelsea's history?

Coventry? If nothing else, its a nice play for a day out.

He had numerous video recorders before most people even had one and an Obsession with taping anything and everything. I watched a documentary about it. You wouldn't have seen it as it didn't involve subtitles or killer tyres. ;)

Much to VK's delight, Josy Altidore trudges off the pitch with the match ball after Villa get royally hammered by Sunderland. This a week after Spearings match winning stoppage time goal for West Brom.
