Have them in by next Thursday, please.

Last one of the season, I hope it's a cracker!
I shall make my usual pre-match purchase from Mr Woodhall on Saturday.

That would be me, of course.

Dave beats me if I don't sell enough, please buy from me folks.
-
Buy from all of us.
-
I always buy from Mr Woodhall, but even though I've written for H&V for a few years, I've never said hello. That's 'cos I'm a lowly writer and editors are the bane of my life.
-
Just spent a lot of time looking at the new edition and i must say its a cracking issue with several very good articles - extremely good reading material indeed.
-
Did the alcohol fuelled 'adventures of dangerous brian' make it in?
-
Come on then, Eastie. We are gagging to know. Which articles that I didn't write did you enjoy?
-
Dave
I'm after a copy of #181....any chance you could bring one on saturday? Will pick it up from you along with the new before the game.

If I remember. Which as there's money involved, I almost certainly will.

That's the best bid so far so you are chosen!
-
I am the chosen one!

He said earlier that the one about learning things from Germany was absolutely fucking awesome.
*nods*

Feel free to come and say hello and introduce yourselves before the game tomorrow. Always nice to put faces to names. I'll be outside the North Stand gates on Witton Lane. Just look for the Brad Pitt look-a-like wearing an '82 retro trackie top.
-
I dunno...I'll be with my girlfriend and if I let slip my username, she'll be able to see all the stuff I post on here, some of which probably wouldn't go down too well.

Just say you won that DVD.

Looks like I'm gonna be late down there so Mortimer's Bear Senior will have the pleasure of purchasing from Dave on my behalf!
-
Thanks to everyone who've bought since August and especially the sellers who've stood out in what has been surely the horriblest season for weather since the Ice Age. I love you all.

Was inside the ground by the time it lashed down.

Bought my copy from whoever was selling outside the Trinity Road gates.
-
That was Greg. You should have crossed over the road.

Thought that was you. We were, as always, running late.
-
I get relegated to underneath the tree when Greg sells for us. This time I had a crimestoppers van right in front of me.

At least this police-related van didn't try to run us over like the previous one did.

You're most welcome. Thanks to you an' all, for all the lifts, money and occasional tickets.
Year 23 approaching - at what point do I get a long-service bonus?
-
Who wrote 'you make your own luck'? One of the best pieces I've read in H&V. We had a thread about turning points of this season. The last day of the '87-'88 season and the Derby game in 1989 were surely turning points in our history.

I read in the 'Liverpool Echo' that the Everton fanzine 'When Skies are Grey' is now only available online.
-
Spurs is the same, well according to the Spurs fan who bought a copy off me.
Stoke do a new issue for every home game.

They've always thought that selling was a bit beneath them.

Stoke do a new issue for every home game.
They always have and it shows in the quality of the content to be fair.
That said, they still manage a better job than the Villa Times lot!

I believe the Oatcake was the first fanzine investigated by the Inland Revenue.

What a claim to fame!
To be fair, most cash-based businesses that have been around for 20 years have been investigated by HMRC at some point.
