A group of us will be travelling up from Dorset and some don't have tickets.

Anyone who can't make it, we will definately have your tickets. Could meet at either of the home games.

Thanks

Wigan away end holds 5,400. I was told by someone at the club that we'd asked for the "full allocation" I'm sure we'll take more once that 3000 has gone.

Is there a kind hearted season ticket holder who isnt going to wigan that would be able to supply me with a ref number ? Would really really appreciate it if someone could help, need 2 but thought id stand a better chance of asking for one unless someone will have 2 spare tickets available. Desperate to go.
I will also repay the favour with a few drinks or £s
Im not pushing in the que, I will wait my turn ; o)

I find the OS ticket info very frustrating, there are two links to tickets, one across the top of the page and another one further down the page as part of what looks like a menu of headings. Whatever info is on one is not usually on the other.

spurs are up there on saturday and have sold their allocation of 4800.

wigan are restricting the sale of home tickets to previous booking history, so it could be the same for us.

The full allocation will be 4,500. Police will not allow the full 5,400 I don't think. Unless I manage to get a ticket on a normal season card, or I manage to fluke a ticket from somewhere, I will be in the Wigan end.

By the way, anyone going up to Manchester the night before? At the moment I know of 35 Villa fans staying over for the night. £8.50 train to Manchester

The providence for the rumour appears to be a chap on VT who has heard whispers.

These ITK's must be easy to clock with their laryngitis.

There will be nigh on five and a half thousand official Villa there and maybe another 1000 in their ends.

He won't restrict tickets, 4,500 will be the full allocation they haven't given the 5,400 for 2 years now. There will be 6000+ travelling spending the night in Blackpool and Manchester or travelling up on the day. The location of this game means whether it meant something or not, we were always going to take thousands up

They have given out the full 5400 allocation loads of times this season. Go onto Twitter, search for "football away days". After a wee bit of searching you will see that Bradford and Newcastle to name but two had the entire end.

Rung up this morning to get 6 tickets. It was contantly engaged for 15 minutes and when i did get through i was 23rd in the que.
They took the money and all the references without checking them but said they are doing a big "audit" on all tickets sold later to make sure everyone has the required amount of games on them as they are so busy.

She said she expects it to sell out today and they have asked Wigan a number of times for an extra allocation but dont know if they will get any and to keep checking the website.

Yes your right, you need to attend the swansea match before you have the privlileges. Buying a ticket for the game doesn't.  They must know through the barcode on the ticket weather or not you have attended.

Wigan Ticket Office have stipulated that you must attend the Swansea or Spurs game to qualify for a Villa ticket - I'm guessing the barcode will be scanned on the ticket at the turnstiles and this is how they will monitor them?

For those interested in Petrov day -

Hello Dominic.  Quick update for you (which you may know already?). A few fans have been in touch with a company called Maskarade based in Coventry.  They have very kindly agreed to print 3,000 Petrov masks free of charge for fans attending the Wigan game.  A group of fans will be putting these on seats before the game.  Best, Russell

Has anyone received their tickets yet?

Thought they would have arrived by now...

I spoke to someone at the club today - Villa haven't received them yet. They're blaming the delay on Wigan dealing with their Cup Final tickets.

That excuse would wash for most clubs, but I bet Wigan have only sold circa 15k for Wembley.

i thought the reluctance was because if whoever lost went down, and if it was us they didn't want 5000 of us there.

Wigan Athletic have agreed to release another 895 tickets for Sunday's season climax clash.

It has been reported this afternoon as 1,500 extra in some media channels but this figure is inaccurate.

Supporters who have requested to be placed on the waiting list for tickets will be given first option on securing a seat for the 4pm kick-off.

Supporters on the waiting list are being contacted but, if you have not received a call to date, you are asked to contact Consumer Sales on 0800 612 0970 before 3pm on Thursday May 16 to secure your ticket(s).

The surplus of tickets will be made available to season card holders who have attended three-or-more away Barclays Premier League fixtures in the 2012-13 season.

This will be to personal callers only from 9am on Thursday May 16.

Tickets will not be sold over the phone to supporters other than those who were placed on the waiting list on Wednesday April 25.

Supporters are reminded that this is an all-ticket fixture and Wigan Athletic will not be selling any additional tickets to supporters on matchday.

Do you intend to ever make a post on here that isn't begging for tickets?

Dave, i have been reading this board for years and enjoy reading it. Just because i dont feel the need to post and get into general chit chat does this mean i cannot ask for help with tickets?

Try feeling the need to contribute a bit and there wouldn't be a problem. Everyone else seems to manage it.

I'm still trying but there's a very high chance I'm not going to be able to get tickets for this and I booked train tickets ages ago!

So if anyones interested I may have 4 return train tickets from New Street available for £32 each. if anyones's interested let me know.

Train arrives in at 10:40..

Not sure many pubs will be open & serving at that time so may start at the top at Wetherspoons Moon under the water & make our way down as the day progresses...

Top of Wallgate to Train Station at bottom is...

Wetherspoons (Moon Under Water)
The Raven
Little Fifteen
Last orders
Lime Bar
The Berkley
Clarence Hotel
Reflex
The Venue

I telephoned the Wigan ticket office earlier; tickets in Villa hospitality are still available at £99/person, which includes a meal and hosted by the legendary Shaun Teale! I know it's a little steep, but treat yourself! Lord knows it's been a tough term....

Sounds like a plan! My train gets in at 10:11 so I'll just make a beeline for the nearest pub

Got through after an hours wait and bought two, at five past three. Lad said there were "quite a few left". Volume of calls must have shifted those quite quick then.

has anyone ever been sent extra tickets for an away game by mistake and been able to use them?

I have 5 reference numbers ready for tomorrow, none of them are under my name but can i still buy using them? Will they ask for proof of i.d or anything?
Probably only ask for first line of the address for each ref number. I've never had a problem using other refs, illustrated by using my credit card when it's not the same name as any of the refs.

Someone had a problem using my reference once as they didn't know my date of birth!

Is it 1983 or 1984? *winky thing*

Creep! Remember I was born in 1980, and Jane wants me for a toyboy...

I don't know, but I do know that the recipient of any extras is in a good place to offer any he doesn't need to someone who does.  If you get my drift....

Can't remember the year, but I had four tickets coming for a game at the Albion, and six turned up in the envelope. I immediately sent the two extras back by return post.............no really, I did........ honest.
