Apologies if this compilation has appeared elsewhere. It's from Square Football. Quite rightly, Dalian's goal is considered the best, with Matt Lowton 8th.

I am suprised that Chris Nicholls thunderbolt or Kent Neillsons screamer arn't in there but football is all about opinions.
-
He's only chosen goals from 1990 on. I'd have included Alan Wright at WHL in 2000
-
I hadn't seen the Daley one from 1990 or the Yorke one from 1993 before; great stuff.
-
If you watch the whole of the Tony Daley footage, there's a shed load in there that easily could have made the top 10.
Luton 1990, Everton 1988 to name but 2.
The last minute goal to seal the 2-0 win at Albion in the Cup in 1990 will also live long in the memory. Magic behind that goal when he buried that.
-
If I'm honest I think Lowton should be 3rd from the 10 he linked, Atkinson's is special and the yorke goal would be regarded a wonder goal by any team from any period but the rest have very little between them. I rank Lowton's higher because of the level of technique involved, wonderful control and a clean strike with 2 players closing him down fast, all the other long range belters had time to set themselves first.
-
When I saw the goal on Saturday, I was thinking, "Wow! That was Gary Cahill-esque!". Although, I think Lowton's goal should of been ranked much higher in that list.
-
I have to say, I had no idea Daley scored quite so many excellent goals.
-
Great video!
-
That team in 1993 was just fantastic. And the year after Manyooo had it stuck right up'em at Wembley. Marvelous selection of goals that.
-
I'd have Daley's goal against Luton ahead of the Chavski one.
Deano against Ipswich could be in there too but not sure who to leave out!
Plus I've discovered that if I try to type "Deano" into my phone it corrects it to Frank, who started this topic. Spooky, eh?
-
I have no recollection of that Yorke goal in '93. How good did a full Villa Park look then.
-
I hadn't seen the Daley one from 1990 or the Yorke one from 1993 before; great stuff.
Shaun Teale was the only outfield player not to touch the ball in the build up to Yorke's goal. I'd have probably missed that game had I noty come down with German Measles a few days before towards the end of term at University and going home earlier than originally planned.
-
76 goals from the Premier League era.
No one mentioned Kent Nielsen vs Inter Milan yet? No? Well feast your eyes once more.
-
Dalian Atkinson double vs Sheffield Weds 1992
7 magnificent goals vs Wimbledon 1995
-
I know these were from 1990 onwards, but whenever the subject of great Villa goals crops up I always like to remind people of the Ernie Hunt/Willie Carr inspired goal involving Steve Hunt and Simon Stainrod against Leicester in 1986.

Townsend and Draper (who scored) did a similar thing against Peterborough in the League Cup in 1995/96.
-
surely yorke's penalty against arsenal is up there. playing 10 men against the champions with a place in europe at stake and to take the piss like that. can't find any bloody footage anywhere though
-
Didn't he do the same at Sheffield United in the FA cup and also at home to Middlesbrough?
-
No Der Hammer?
What about Mark Walters in Moscow
Stanley Victor v A Madrid
Simon Grayson v WBA FA cup?
Staunton at OT ?
So many good goals very subjective though
-
Always liked the Yorkie goal vs Forest when he ran half the length of the pitch twisted Chettle inside and out then bent it over Steve Sutton I think it was in front of the Holte...beautiful!
-
What about Franz Carr's Exocet at Forest ?
Top10 material
-
What about Warnock in the QPR game? Sent the keeper the wrong way, diving header to the opposite corner. Genius.

Blimey yes, ran half the length of the pitch
Actually Morley v Everton 81 ? Goal of the season ?

Carbone's 2nd v Leeds as well - brilliant finish.
I'm quite in-love with Daley's v Man City 1991/1992 It was my Nan's birthday. After the game, Always remember me and my dad picking her up from her house in Chelmsley Wood, and taking her to the Beefeater in Minworth for her birthday meal. I would have been about 7.
The two against Ipswich 1992-1993 we're just awesome. I spent ages in the garden trying to re-create Deano's 40 yarder. My neck door neighbours going mental with the ball continuously going over the fence!
Savo's at wembley and Collymore v Atletico always remain my favourite Villa goals though.
-
I've never seen it, I believe no cameras were present at the match, but Ormsby's stunner at West Ham circa 1984 is a goal I've always heard people remember very fondly.
Graham Fenton's 1st goal at Spurs, November 1994 was a quality Prem League era goal not discussed very often as was Deano's winner in the final minutes
-
There are so many brilliant goals to choose from that plenty get overlooked.
Alan McInally's 2nd against Millwall in 1988? picked up the ball in our half and took on half the Millwall team. His first goal was pretty good as well.
edit - found it. 3rd goal in this sequence:

Didn't Ruddock get a pretty decent goal for Millwall too in that game? As for overlooked goals, how about Tony Morley's 'other' goal in Berlin?
-
You were a step ahead of me. The clip didn't show up when I first looked at your post.

He was pals with Bowie and Iggy?

This is one of my favourites, hadn't seen it for years before today (2:20 in).

Great first touch Savo

Tommy Johnson's face says it all.
-
Nice one Yorkie
-
He did the same against Arsenal, last match of the season IIRC. I'm sure I remember Seaman giving a smile as he realised he'd been done.

He did, 1997-98 season I think.
-
Yes it was the last game of the season, we won 1-0. Its the opening goal on the 100 greatest goals dvd.
