ffs....£45 ? hope we charged £45..
-
Its was £45 notes last season too.
-
Dirty bastards
-
That's a horrendous price, you'd expect it at the Emirates or the Etihad but not at a shit side like Norwich.

You shouldn't expect it anywhere and as for charging them the same, surely if it's wrong at Carrow Road it's wrong at Villa Park?

Not saying it's right, just that unfortunately I wouldn't be surprised to be charge upwards of this at the afore mentioned grounds. How much do we charge away fans, out of interest? I've never really thought about it.
-
Expensive, but does anyone really think they'll struggle to sell? I doubt very much it would go to general sale.
-
A lot of people made a weekend of it in Great Yarmouth last season and probably will again. it should sell out despite the price.
-
£45 ? How times change.

And what good would that do? The people who pay aren't the ones who set the prices.
-
you'd expect it at the Emirates
£32 at the arsenal this season, but I know what you mean.
I'm almost looking forward to playing in the second division next season.

Everyone would just put their prices up for the Villa match.
Maybe not to £45, but I doubt it would be a tenner a game and all the Bovril you can drink, sadly.
-
Norwich are charging Swansea fans £35 for their visit on Saturday.....seems slightly odd that we are paying an extra tenner

I've still got my ticket from when we played Man Utd at Old Trafford in 1990. It was a fiver to get in.

Dave, it was just a throw away comment no harm meant.
I would like to think we set reasonable prices for away fans.

I've still got a ticket for Villa at Old Trafford in 1985 - £2.50 to stand in the Scoreboard End
The coach ticket was more expensive

Leeds charge £36 and apparently Ipswich charged Leicester £40. I think Derby, Blackburn, Palace, Brighton and Barnsley have been known to charge £30+. Baring in mind we'll be category A everywhere we go, I don't think it'll be much cheaper in the second tier.

Indeed. Nor were we charged £32 at Arsenal this season. £32 is what they were charging us back in '06. It was £35.50 this season.
-
Ok. Still not the £55 we paid to see Chelsea score 4 against us this season......
-
Does anybody know what the availability on this game is at the moment? I checked online yesterday and it only had one block left if that's anything to go by? Today it has no option for me to buy online when I log in. I was wondering if it has sold out?
-
Someone on my Facebook has posted that it's sold out.

It is a good away trip. It always reminds me of being sunny, a bit like Southampton at the Dell when they had that pub on the corner with the grass to sit on.

Always though that about Ipswich as well- cant beat the old speckled hen in a nice beer garden on the outskirts before the game.
-
Just to clarify, its not sold out. 1300 approximately sold.

I rang this morning and they said it had'nt sold out so i'm pleased about that. It was great last season (apart from the defeat).

Ye I phone up and got mine this morning. I mentioned that I couldn't get any online last night and she didn't know why that was. It's not the first time I have had problems with the online sales maybe I just have bad luck with it.
-
I have reference numbers if anyone needs them
-
Less than a hundred tickets left for this.
Get on board, yes its expensive, but Norwich is a nice town, the weather is going to be good and it is an excellent away day with a nice pint by the river.
-
Got mine last night....its going to be one of those games where you want to say ''i was there!!!!''
£79.10 train fare mind that on top of £45 match tkt does make it somewhat expensive. Land in Norwich 11:15 though so time for a few scoops!

Train fare's in this country are a joke. You can fly to Spain cheaper than that.

Break the fare up into Birmingham / Leicester, Leicester / Peterborough and Peterborough / Norwich and you should save about £20. I worked it out for someone travelling from Lichfield so it won't be far out.
-
Just ordered mine online and having experimented with the booking system to see how many I could get, I reckon there must only be about 20 or so left. Just need to work out how I can get there as cheaply as I can now...
-
Looking at the time you ordered it Joe, I suspect there may have been ale involved in your decision ;) Dammit, you've got me thinking about it now!!

Joe. Did you notice my post about splitting the journey into stages? B'ham / Leicester, Leic / P'boro, P'boro / Norwich saves about £20. There may be better options if you look.

Yeah, thanks for that. Was looking at going via London using one of my free London Midland vouchers but whatever I try from London to Norwich keeps coming in at the thick end of £50. I'll find a way and hopefully see you there if you can let me know a suitable secret pub.

Perhaps its just me being out of touch with away price tickets but £45 to watch Norwich!
Fair play to all the Villa fans willing to pay these prices but I just think its ridiculous.
£22 to watch the O's beat Coventry the other week in the Championship.

A Sandwell fan I work with claims that they have 3.5k tickets for their final away match at Norwich and the top price is 35 quid.
He also told me that the fancy dress theme for the brainless twonks is Romelu Lukaku. Interesting.

They haven't, they've got the same 2,400 we've had, but they are £10 cheaper.
I've grudgingly paid the £45 tomorrow on the basis that the £25 they charged us in December for League Cup game turned out to be the best £25 I've spent in a long time. Still the best away day of the season, apart from the long slow drive through freezing fog.
