I bought the last one from PeterWithesShin, so I'd better get mine from Legion this time

If you have tried the rest, buy from the best!
Me, resigned for a guest appearance!
-
Got mine in the post this morning. Be warned, the back cover sent a shudder down my spine.

You resigned from a proper job just to make a one-off appearance selling H&V. That's a risky move in the current economic climate.

I found a horses head in my bed after Dave made me an offer I couldn't refuse!

Exaggeration in the extreme, he left a pack of tesco value burgers on your pillow , nothing more! :D
Where will you be plying your trade mark?

Since switching from a pre match drink (or four) in The Vine to The Aston Social I now body swerve around the God bothering pamphlet wavers to buy from the guy outside the cemetary instead of the guy opposite.
-
I'm looking forward to reading some of the post-Bradford emails!
-
I've got a piece in this one, so doomish, I make Risso look like Seattle Villain.

Make sure you do!

Got mine in the post today and it's a very good read!
Really enjoyed Brian Green's photo memories and Stacy Murphy's take on media relations, so far.
-
Must buy one!
-
Mine arrived in today's post, I'm afraid to open it.
-
I've only ever bought them from Mr Woodhall, it's part of my lucky match routine.

Introduce yourself tomorrow.

Me too , started buying from the great man 20 years ago near enough, if not longer.
When was the first issue published dave , mid to late 80s?

Dave's in his mid to late 80s ?
Wow, he doesn't look that old. Late 70s yes, but not in his 80s.

He wears it well, madame onassis has got nothing on him!

Very good article in this edition: "the weight of history". Certainly food for thought there. Who wrote it?

If it's any good I did.

I've wanted to do a piece I've had in mind for a couple of years but haven't summoned the will to write about Villa. In all honesty I haven't read the last 3 issues. Can't face them.
-
It's quite sad really just how much I look forward to a new edition of H&V.
-
I keep trying to think of something positive to write for it but I'm struggling.
-

What got me was that the back four (possibly even goalie as well) are better than our current defence.

There was an article in the last issue about possibility of losing to Bradford so I refused to read it. Now that that has come to be I still won't open it because of that article!

Working well then.

He didn't say how many copies he's purchased. If he hasn't bought one since 1996 he could still be lucky.
-
See, lucky routine.
Nice speaking to you Dave, great 3 points!
-
Bought mine from Legion as usual (when i'm not selling). Mr Sox the part-timer had already fecked off leaving Leeg on his on in the rain & cold.
-
Made a sale to a regular customer who buys from Greg. He said he was hoping his change of seller would prompt a change in our fortunes. Hope I see him when we play Manchester City!

Surely not the gnasher ?
-
No. A different Greg.
-
The clue as to whether it was our Greg or not was that bit mentioning him being at Villa Park :P

Bit harsh pws, the glorious gnasher has already shown his face there this millenium :P

I thought the latest H&V was excellant. Good stuff from Stuart Griffin, Alex Russon, Simon Page, Stacy Murphy, Andrew Robins and Jon Follows. My favourite though was 'How do you solve a problem called the Villa' by Alex Berwick. Balanced analysis along with some grounded optimism. It would have been the best thing in there if one of my 'fives' hadn't been included.
I don't normally type this style of post. I like it. I am now going to e-mail TV choice magazine and tell them what a breath of fesh air 'Call the midwife' is to the schedules that are usually full of violence and reality shows. Then fire one off to The Sun to say how much better the world would be if girls admired the likes of Kate Middleton rather than Katie Price.

Were there meant to be more pics in Brian's article ?

Oi..
I'd been ill over the weekend and felt lousy. Added to that, I was soaked by the time that I got to Leeg.
With it being a new edition day, Greg had the gate spot, which meant that Leeg couldn't hide out under the overhang. I wasn't going to provide security in the rain.

I'm one of them.
Thanks for the tip of the hat. Feedback always makes you want to write more.

If they'd all been in it would have taken up about 15 pages.
-
Who was selling on the Trinity? We had a short excahnge about the *ahem* merits of a certain Barry Bannan ;-)
-
Statue side or tree side?

Gentle giant. Talks a lot.

Nowt wrong with that ;-)

Very.

Doesn't he just! I bought one off him once and thought I was going to miss kick off!
-
Because I bought on "new issue" day and sat in the TR, I always used to buy from Greg (or occasionally from the Head Dave at away games).
That is, until a certain other seller lured me away with his chatter about Electronic Music.
-
I want to know who couldn't spell Martin Laursen in the Day by Day section. Sack them!

Big fecking Jessie!
