Next 4 games, everton a, west ham h, arsenal a, man city h
How many points can you see us getting? Maybe Wet Spam as they don't travel well but then again neither did Newcastle
-
At best 4.
1, 3, 0, 0
-
The 2 after that are Reading (away) and QPR (home). If we lost to Everton, Arsenal and Man City and some how found a way of winning the other 3 (which I know we won't), it would be more useful than picking up less likely points.
-
How many more must win games have we got?
-
One.
0,1,0,0
That's how bad we are.
-
How many will we concede? I reckon 12.
-
None, we haven't done to well at goodison the past few seasons, and can't see us getting anything again with a weaker side, West Ham have a better side and have goals in them, we have none. Arsenal and man city...... Anyone who thinks we can get anything out of those games needs their heads looking at.
-
1, 3, 0, 1.
-
The 'easy' games are over now. We'll get 1 point from the next 4.
-
I think 4 points also. It could well be in 4 battling draws. Points lcould even be ost from leading so we end with a point feeling like a defeat, Or even winning one and drawing one - This is being tres optimistic. Realistically. 3points v West Ham as that only match we could win!
-
Get a couple in before the deadline and we might get a point, otherwise none
-
If he plays Bennet, Bent and Bannon zero.
-
Death by binary.
0,1,0,0, at best, I'm afraid.
-
2. bottom of table at the end if that run Im afraid
-
I said yesterday if we don't beat either Newcastle or West Ham, we will go down so all hinges on West Ham now, great.
A big Sam team so they'll be relentless at set pieces. We'll lose the other 3 and start to be adrift in the bottom 3 as everyone else is picking up points, wouldn't shock me if Reading get something against Chelsea.
-
Lambert will unveil his pseudo new signings KEA and Dunne and we will subsequently lose all 4 games
-
I suspect we'll lose every game.
-
We needed to beat Wigan. We needed to beat Saints. We needed to win tonight. We lost all three...not even one point. We are relegated.
-
Aston Villa...nil points
-
3, 1, 0, 1.
-
v Everton LOSE
v West Ham DRAW
v Arsenal LOSE
v Manchester City LOSE BY A LOT
That equates to one point. If we're lucky.
-
I'd be surprised (and delighted) if we get more than two points from those four games.
-
It's win or bust terriority now, draws won't be much use especially with our goal difference knackered from December 23rd onwards.
4 wins and 3 draws or 5 wins and I still think 35 points will be enough but every game we don't even get anything from at home to other relegation threatened teams and it starts to look beyond us now.
Still somehow get a win over West Ham and there will be a different feel to things.
-
One point against West Ham, but only if we don't give away a corner or a free kick throughout the entire game. Everyone else is going to fuck us up.
-
The 'easy' games are over now. .
Not strictly true. We still have to play:
West Ham, QPR, Fulham and Sunderland at home.
Norwich, Reading, Stoke and Wigan away.
Now, none of them are "easy" but by the time we play Fulham or Sunderland for example they may be safe and not put up as much of a fight as Southampton and Newcastle did this month.
Plus this month has surely been the nadir. We can only get better through more training and a stop to this playing a game every 3 days lark which has crippled our confidence as well as knackering us. Add the positive effect of injured players coming back and surely one or two astute signings by Thursday and we'll be safe and chillin' long before the last day at Wigan. You gotta have faith, amigos.
-
The best I can see is a draw at Everton and beating West Ham before two defeats. But if I was putting money on the total points from the next four, I would go 1 point.
-
1 point West Ham draw
-
Play the formation we did in the second half and I reckon 4 points.
Play stupid formations where no one knows what they're doing, 0 points.
-
No points
-
I also think that it doesn't really matter who the next four games are against. We've just lost to Wigsn, Newcastle & Southampton. We play who we play and try to win every game from here on in regardless.
-
Am I correct that we have 2p from 21p and have won 6 of last 40?
-

1 point from West Ham.

Won't get 30pts nevermind 40. Thanks to all those who banged on about no one can do a better job then Lambert, are you for real?

Yep that about sums it up for me too
-
None/one at Weat Ham.
-
Everton lose 1-3
West ham 1-1
Arsenal lose 4-0
Man city lose 0-3
One point from 12 leaving us marooned in 20th position come march.

Yup. Its over. God knows what we did to deserve this but we are being relegated.
-
Apparently we stand more chance of picking up points again Everton, Man City and Arsenal...

Sadly I agree, its very difficult to see past our inability to not concede goals

And score. 1 goal at home in the league in over 7 hours was it?
-
With this squad and this manager I can't see us winning any more games, home or away. We may pick up the odd point as at Swansea and WBA, but basically we are finished as a Premier league club, probably for quite a while.
-
one point ( west ham ) no f**king chance with the others
-
Since we're at the "can't see where the next points are coming from" stage, I won't comment.
-
I think we could potentially get 3 draws against everton, west ham and arsenal. City will batter us though. This would be enough to keep in touch with the current bottom 5 or 6 clubs.
Main priority now is to stop the losing streak and get a bit of balance to the team and a bit of belief back and then start to try and build on that. As long as we don't start to get too far adrift, we're still in with a shout of safety.
Looks bleak though in terms of form. But looking at the table earlier today there's "only" 10 points separating us from Stoke in tenth. It's still very close at this stage down the bottom, but we are running out of games, there's no two ways about it.
-
I think 4 points would be a decent return.
-
We could get 12 in a parallel universe but on current form we'll be lucky to scrape a point against West Ham.
-
Well we have 4pts already ! Anything else could be bonus! Though i think we could get at least 1pt from next 2 matches!
-
Another 4 points please. More of the same (except without the letting goals in the last few minutes thing)
-

2 games down and only the 300% out - I hope you're not a betting man.
-
Well weve already exceeded my expectation and we're only 2 games in! Just imagine what another 4 points to finish off this sequence would do for our league position and our confidence. A points always possible at arsenal and we might be facing a city side that's thrown in the towel in the title race. Not getting carried away - I think 1 pt from the next 2 games is not unfeasible. 4 pts would be most welcome though.
-
More than pleased with 4.
Anything from next 2 would be a bonus
The key games are Sundrland home, Reading away, QPR home and Norwich away where we need 8-10 points. Do that and we have every chance of staying up
-

Agree with you, i think man city could be a chance to pick up a point or more too, they are out of the title race and have little to play for.
-
over the moon with 4 , I thought 1 of 12 but have a sneaky feeling we could get a good result off either Arse or Man££y

I would add Fulham at home and Wigan away to that list, with a chance of maybe getting something at Stoke and at home to Liverpool. That leaves Chelsea and Man City at home, and Arsenal and Man Utd away.
-
When do we play Manure , hopefully they have already won the league by then.

April I think.

April I think.
I kind of want them to do well in the chumps league then , so they play the second team to keep their best players injury free.
-
It doesn't look like their up in the Gods away fans switch has been continued so I presume we're back in the South East corner this year?

Yep. Will be interesting to see how many we take: the 1400 or the 1800 allocation. £45 a ticket this season back in the corner, so £6 more than we paid last year.
-
Maybe Fergie will do us a favor?

Maybe Fergie will do us a favor?
He did that year before year - he wrote Lerner a letter espousing the abilities of TSM.
Oh wait - shit that didn't work...

He makes a living from it, doesn't he? (whistley fella)
-
We could really do with picking up a point in the next 2 and then 4 points from the 2 after. If we can manage that i think we may start to look as though we can get out of it.
-
Beating Norwich, Fulham, Reading and QPR will be the key.
We'd be helping to drag two mid table sides into the shit and keeping those below us down. Any other points picked up (and surely we can get a couple of draws out of the Stoke, Sunderland and Liverpool games?) should see us safe.
We can be on 38 points + going to Wigan on the last day of the season. If we are, we will stay up. Bonus points from Arsenal, City and United would of course be welcome.
-
It'd be nice going to Wigan knowing a point would keep us safe.
It'd be even nicer going there knowing a point would also keep them safe.
-
If we got nothing from the next two but won the other two we would be well placed points wise with the remaining fixtures to come. The same applies to the 'big teams' and 'lesser teams' in the remaining games. We have to win the six pointer cut throat games. Getting stuffed by Chelsea and Spurs and losing leads at Swansea, Albion and Everton would have been no problem if we had beaten Wigan, Southampton and Newcastle.
-
Damo I reckon we'll stay up by a mixture of disappointing results against the shitter teams and unexpected results against the better sides. It will sum up our season, honestly think we'll be safe.
-
1, 3, 0, 1.
100% so far.
Sadly, still 100%.
-
Maybe Fergie will do us a favor?
It'd be in his best interests to keep us in the Prem. After all, we usually hand over the points without so much as a whimper.
-
Putting things into perspective - we are in a dog fight with QPR, Reading and Wigan.
Those above us pulling away from relegation include Norwich, Southampton, and Fulham FFS
Just shows how far we have fallen in the last few seasons.
Bearing in mind we have lost to the likes of Southampton (twice), more recently Newcastle and Wigan at home plus Millwall and Bradford, how the hell can we be expected to battle our way out of the Championship?
Perhaps Lambert and the fans should have been put out of their misery just after Christmas and Lerner sacked the manager and offer a seasoned campaigner a few million to keep us up - set against the millions we are set to lose out on its peanuts. Alternatively Lambert should have requested the recruitment of four or five experienced players to get us to Wembley and away from the relegation zone - again paying a hefty pay as you play/survival bonus.
I really fail to see us getting the required positive results over the coming months primarily because of the huge leap in confidence/ability/coaching/tactics/hard work it would take to turn things around.
Sod the quality lets just put the points on the board.
