I see 3 points put of 18 against the top 7 and  8 out of 18 from the 6 games  with rivals .
Overall 11 points from 12 games and goodbye premier league.

I see 7 points out of 18 against top 7 and  11 out of 18 against rivals  and 4 out of remaining  4 games so that makes 22 and no relegation.

That's 16 games, we only have 15 left.

I dont think the last games are that interesting, we will be down before Wigan. My guess is Norwich will put us down mathematically.

Hard to see where the next win is coming from.

Has anyone put money on us going down? I'm fighting against doing it but it looks to be bloody easy money at evens

Just had a mooch on Oddschecker. Best price you can get on us going down is 11/10. Lambert is odds on not to be in charge by the last game of the season. Lee Clark is odds on favourite for the Blackpool job. Ashley Young is 6/1 to sign for Arsenal in this transfer window, 14/1 to sign for QPR and 20/1 to return to us. Most importantly though you can get 5/4 on blue, 6/4 on yellow, 11/4 on red and 10/1 on silver/grey if you want to bet on what colour tie Jim White will wear on SSN on deadline night.

Oh fuck...my  plan to safety is up the spout.
OK I give in and agree with most of you that we should  give up now and sack everybody associated with the club. Get some messiah  in  say Andy Gray or Stan Collymore to attempt to save us as they are  very good at talking about it all!

We still have Newcastle, Sunderland, QPR, West Ham, Fulham at home. Not to mention Reading, Norwich and Wigan away. We can have no complaints if we go down failing to get enough points from that. After the Wigan and Soton games, I don't think we will. Probably 10 more points maximum = 30 points total = Championship.

Reading are the team showing the form though they have some tough games against top teams. However i can see them getting a point at least against chelsea. Qpr and norwich are showing how poor they are after their cup defeats and wonder what affect that will have on their next immediate games.
I wouldn't discount west ham becoming involved.
Southampton and new manager have it all to do- check out forest change and how that is nt working out so far !
Wigan dont start playing till the clocks go forward- quote lawro.
That made me giggle!

Wouldn't read too much into qprs cup result- they put basically a reserve team out and i think harry will be happy to concentrate on the league.

To be fair though, shipping 4 at home to a league 1 side isn't going to inspire good feeling amongst anyone connected with that club regardless of who they put out.

Thank god they don't go forward until March 31st then this year!!

I still think 35 points and that will be enough to keep us up although risking it with the goal difference.

Basically I think we need 4 points from Newcastle-Westham, 5 points from QPR-Reading-Liverpool games, 4 points from Fulham-Sunderland home games in April and then two draws from somewhere else, maybe Norwich and then Wigan on the last day.

I live near QPR and bumped into loads of fans streaming out of the game yesterday after an hour. They reckon that not only are they doomed they will also finish bottom.

I'd take a bet with anyone that no one will be relegated on 38 points.

Last season Bolton went down on 36.

Think it might be a year where the 3rd relegated clubs all finish on 33 or 34 points say...

17th Us 35 points
18th Wigan 34 points
19th Reading 34 points
20th QPR 33 points

Nightmare final day in store anyway.

I wouldn't read anything into the points total.

That's why I don't understand why people get hung up about needing 6 wins or whatever.

We need to, at the very least, match what the three teams below us do. With the fixtures we have, our fate ought to be very much in our own hands.

Maybe.  But we have to win tonight if we are to halt the slide.  It will ease the pressure and send the vultures off to circle the magpies for a week or two.

There will be shock results along the way - as in qpr winning at chelsea, it will be nip and tuck all the way from here, a win tonight is vital.

I think it's crucial to get 7 out of 9 in the home games against Newcastle, QPR & Fulham. Lose one of them and we're well and truly f*cked. Thank God we're not playing any of them tonight...............

Hmm I felt the same.
And tonight annoying. Not even a point after our second half fight back!
And then finding out Wigan and QPR draw!
