I'm too absofuckinglutely hacked off to talk about the match, but for anyone who noticed what was going on in the Holte during the first half I've just had this come through from the ambulance service.
An Aston Villa fan who suffered a cardiac arrest shortly after his team’s first goal in their Capital One Cup match against Bradford City is said to be doing well in hospital. The man, who is believed to be in his mid 50s, collapsed at about 8.20pm.
By good fortune, two members of West Midlands Ambulance Service staff, who were providing cover at the match, were nearby and rapidly started treatment on the man. They were very quickly assisted by volunteers from St John Ambulance. A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “The WMAS and St John medics worked together to give the patient CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation), drug therapy and two shocks from a defibrillator. The man responded well to treatment and came round at the ground. He was taken by ambulance by WMAS and St John staff to City Hospital where he continues to undergo treatment. Whilst it is very early days, the initial signs are hopeful."

Good news and a big up to St John's as well.
-
That is good news, good luck to him.
-
Well done to all, and I guess this is probably putting the events of the match into some sort of context. Hope he is ok.
-
Very well done to all the medics involved.
True heroes.
-
Puts things into perspective. Great work by everybody involved.

Good news and puts it all into perspective...
-
Well done to those who saved his life.
-
Excellent news and puts the rest of night into right perspective.
-
That's nice to hear and yes, credit to the people on the spot.
-
Goes to show what the important things in life eh? Hope he's okay and if so, I couldn't care less about the result.
Survival to this gent first and foremost, then hopefully survival to the Villa in a completely different way. I'll take those two out of three.
-
How fragile we are. Well done to those involved and good wishes for a full recovery.
-
St. Johns = volunteers
AVFC players on tens of thousands a week
No fuckin justice in this world
-
I'm glad the chap in question was dealt with in such a timely manner, and hope he makes a full recovery, but the result still pisses me off immensely.
-
They mentioned on WM in the first half that a stretcher was being taken into the Holte, thought someone might have slipped.
Good news, just don't tell him the aggregate score!
-
I saw this developing and it was quite scary, certainly puts the result into perspective.
-
Good news, and that as others have said shows that football isn't the end of the world.
Where about in the Holte was this? I was in L4 and saw nothing.
-
Thanks for posting that, Dave. I certainly noticed CPR being administered from my seat in the Witton Lane Stand.
Thoughts and prayers with the gentleman and his family.

Bottom, r/h/s looking at the pitch.
-
It was right in front of us in L2.
Glad he's O.K.
-
Pleased to hear that. Let's hope we can stop tearing ourselves to shreds just because of a poor result tonight.
-
Saw the ambulance with flashing lights in the corner of the Holte and was wondering what was going on. Good news that the person is doing OK and well done to all those involved in assisting him.
-

The result pisses me off too. Having said that, I'm increasingly aware that comparing my existence to a flight schedule, I'm in the departure lounge as opposed to arrivals. I'm annoyed but I just can't be arsed spending too much time being annoyed.
-
Saw that in front of us in L2, glad to hear he's OK and well done to paramedics/st Johns and the stewards for dealing with it in such a good way.
-

Agree. Best wishes to him and his family.

-
Get well soon ! UTV

Get well soon and well done to the medical chaps.
-
Was in the Lower Holte tonight, and saw the Police and Paramedics helping out. In the grand scheme of things, at least ther was one result at VP tonight.

Is that comment supposed to be funny?
-

All the best to the bloke hope he makes a full recovery.
Remember there is more to life than football!
-
Good news, I saw that I was in the Doug Lower, poor chap

-
Glad to hear he's doing ok. Far more important than any football match.
-
That's great news, That guy could have had that heart attack at any moment but he was so lucky to have it at Villa park if you know what I mean.
Thank you to all the medical staff for your quick response and efforts much appreciated.
