Title: Most goals conceded without reply
Post by: JJ-AV on December 29, 2012, 05:42:56 PM: As we all know, since Benteke's second at Anfield we've conceded 16 goals without reply.

Is that a record?

Newcastle have shipped 11 in 2 games , lets hope they get hit for five on New Year's Day , albeit they have scored 6 in reply.

However the following month we put 7 past Bradford City in the League Cup.

So that a good omen isnt it ? :)

But we got knocked out in the next round..............by Chelsea ! :(

I read that earlier but I think it said that Wigan's goals were conceded in three games spread over the end of one season and the beginning of the next (2008?). I think one of their losses was 8-0 to Chelsea.

Apparently Ipswich were as bad as us around 1992-3. Prior to that it was Darwen in the 19th century.......
