Title: Most goals conceded without reply
Post by: JJ-AV on December 29, 2012, 05:42:56 PM
As we all know, since Benteke's second at Anfield we've conceded 16 goals without reply.

Is that a record?

I wouldn't get anything engraved or a tattoo just yet, there's Swansea on Tuesday.

Now that's what I call burying bad news - waiting til today to admit to owning a Quo record.  Very clever.

Incredible to think a week ago none of this shit had even happened and we were still basking in Norwich and Liverpool.

What's our record for different players scoring hat tricks against us in a season?

says in guardian that we've equalled ipswich record of 15 goals conceded in three consecutive games (1995). Tuesday could be another record broken

Sometimes I think we are all starting to sound like broken records.

Newcastle have shipped 11 in 2 games , lets hope they get hit for five on New Year's Day , albeit they have scored 6 in reply.

In October 1964 we had a run of 3 league defeats totalling 0-11. West Ham (a) 0-3, WBA (h) 0-1, Man U (a) 0-7.

However the following month we put 7 past Bradford City in the League Cup.

So that a good omen isnt it ?  :)

But we got knocked out in the next round..............by Chelsea !  :(

I read that earlier but I think it said that Wigan's goals were conceded in three games spread over the end of one season and the beginning of the next (2008?). I think one of their losses was 8-0 to Chelsea.

Apparently Ipswich were as bad as us around 1992-3. Prior to that it was Darwen in the 19th century.......

A cracker courtesy of Talk Sport's resident moron Darren Gough (pronounced "Cock").

Very cold  in Aston over Christmas ,  down to minus 15.
