Title: R.I.P. Dave Sexton
Post by: eastie on November 25, 2012, 04:07:28 PM: Sad to hear of the death of Dave Sexton at the age of 82.
Dave was a coach here for a spell in the 90s under big ron and a really nice bloke , he also managed Chelsea, Man U, and coventry among others.

Classy, powerful side.

Was at Wolves the night they were relegated losing 1-3 to Redscouse which won them the League. There were lots of QPR there supporting the Dogheads.

Me too! I still remember him as a young Chelsea manager in the late 60's when me and my school mates made occasional forays down to that there London to catch a game. Happy days.

His QPR team played some superb stuff at times - Don Masson, Gerry Francis, Davey Thomas, Ian Clement et al!
