Not sure if there is a topic for this but Mat Kendrick has tweeted that Hutton is off to Forest until 1st January. Anybody (apart from Forest fans) upset about this?
-
Poor old Forest.
He'd be ideal for SHA.
-
Amazing how someone so shit has clocked up over £10m in transfer fees
-
Back with Jenas again. They both joined Villa on the same day from Spurs.
-
I'm curious as to which party is paying his wages.
-
Good news. If we're to stand any chance of selling him we need to get him playing.
-
Goodbye. Good luck. Don't come back.
-
What did Forest do to deserve that?
-
I wonder if you asked new 'footy' types which two European Cup winning clubs Hutton's played for, how many of them would say Rangers and Spurs?
-
Barry, Milner, Young, Downing, now Hutton!
Where will it all end ?
-
Championship left wingers are Googling 'broken leg healing times'.

I'm upset that it's only until Jan 1st
-
We're probably hoping that some clown will take him permanently in the window. :(
-
Need TSM to get a new job.
-

Spawned Steve Hodge.
-

Hopefully we're not paying all of them now.
-
Awful awful player.
Good riddance (well until NYD).
-
The Masons Arms in Solihull will be selling a lot less beer on saturday afternoons now if Hutton's going to be gainfully employed again.
-
We're probably hoping that some clown will take him permanently in the window. :(
There's a bit of money at Forest now so hopefully they'll take him on permanently.
-
YAY!! If they've picked up half his wages WOOHOO!!!! The only downside I can see is that they have 6 weeks to work our that he us a total numpty and so probably won't want to sign him in January :(
-
I hope he plays superbly and is a huge hit with their fans.

He'll be fine in the Championship; should shine.
-
Still above his level.
-

Most of them I expect, Perce.
-
Shame for me - experienced player, we haven't got many of them left.
-

He's certainly experienced. Talented or worth a place in the starting XI (or even on the bench), no, but yes, he's experienced.

I wouldn't have him in a decent squad in terms of Premier League quality and experience but the young players need that around them right now. Men so to speak.
-
Good riddance.
Also, what is it with lower league supporters?
Some of the comments about Villa on this thread are somewhat nuts: http://www.forestforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=34518

He seemed to get all his reputation on the back of some good games for Scotland when they had a decentish run under McLeish. He did well at Rangers but that doesn't count because it's in a bollocks league.
Sooner we get rid the better. Piss poor player, who makes things even worse for himself by being a bit of a maniac. I actually think he was bloody lucky last season not to have 4-5 more reds. He also got away with a lot of stone wall penalties. Watching Hutton was frightening to be honest. Heart in mouth time every time the ball went down our right side.
-
I stopped once I saw someone state he could be the new Stuart Pearce...dear lord

I said after the Q.P.R. game I thought there was a decent player in there somewhere.
I think I'd based it on a good performance against Arsenal, and it was the only time he'd looked anything like decent, and he still managed to fuck that up with the red card.
-
He's mad. He's shite. He's now at his level.
-
hope he does well there and makes it permanent in january.

I think it's in all of our interests to wish him the very best of luck.

I'd agree that he looked decent at times ..but for them to compare him to a club legend is madness.
-
It's not his fault we signed him.
He clearly has something about him, just not enough for what we (or Spurs) needed. Quite how he played ahead of Walker at Spurs is anyone's guess though; maybe Redknapp will take him to QPR...
-
On the one hand I wonder if we could do with his experience in the first 11, and he did have one or two games where looked useful, especcially going forward. On the other I recall more than a few headless chicken moments, handballs in the area, diving into challenges like he wanted to break the opponent in two, and being all over the place positionally far too often. So on balance probably a good thing.
-
I've been trying to crowbar in a 'Hutton dressed up as Lamb-ert' reference but have lost the will to live. There's comedy in there somewhere but I think I'd best let it lie and work on some new material.
-
He clearly has something about him
Rickets, judging by his performances.
-
He's no use to us in the reserves on big money so hope the move works out for him and we can shift him on in the January window
Good luck

From the Sun.Let's hope there's an option to buy in January with Forest
http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/4666922/Alan-Hutton-slams-Aston-Villa-after-Notts-Forest-loan-move.html
ALAN HUTTON insists he has played his last game for Aston Villa after joining Nottingham Forest on loan.
The former Rangers and Tottenham right-back, 27, has not appeared this season and been told he is not part of boss Paul Lambert’s plans.
And the Scotland international finally ended his Villa Park hell by clinching an emergency loan move to the City Ground last week.
Hutton admitted: “I don’t see any way back for me at Villa.
“What’s been said has done it for me there.
“It has been very frustrating. I want to play and through different circumstances I’ve not.
“But you have to go out and make the best of it. Forest is a big club and I want to be part of it.
“You’ll have to ask Paul Lambert why he’s not played me. I don’t really want to go into it.
“New managers come in and have their own ideas. That is just the way things go.”
-

I asked him, he said because you're a shit hoofing club footed oaf.

Not sure he's as bad as is being portrayed. Spurs paid £8m for him then we paid £5m so there must be a player in there somewhere?
-

There isn't. He's not up to prem level and never will be. We were duped, Spurs more so.
-

He's not a bad footballer ... when he's not completely mindless.

Absolutely. He's rubbish.
It's bad enough we spent that amount on him, but I find it really hard to believe Spurs spent that figure on him.
-
We didn't pay that much, did we?

We weren't duped, McLeish knew exactly what he was buying.

3,5 million pounds have been touted around.
-
A little off topic but I noticed Forest have added two stars above their badge, most likely honouring the two European Cups they won. When we tried to add a star above our badge the FA said we couldn't so anyone know why the double standards?

I think they'd argue that it's part of the badge, as our star is.

I think the Premier League put a stop to us putting a star on our shirts. The rule doesn't apply to Championship clubs.

thanks for clarifying

Which is why the Blues are allowed 2 bollocks on their badge.

While our signing of Hutton wasn't exactly shrewd, the circa 9m Spurs paid for him looks absolutely insane now.
-
Use the words door and arse in the same sentence.
-
Hutton made his name in an international against Italy, where to be fair, he did look useful going forwards. His defensive duties consisted mainly of looking at empty space as Italy attacked through the middle.
I doubt the SPL tested his competence as a defender much either.
All the same, Spurs coughing 8 - 9 mill for him is pretty much neck and neck in the stupidity stakes with us subsequently forking out 3 - 4 on what became their 3rd or 4th choice right back.
I can't believe he actually seems to feel hard done by.
-
How's Big Al doing thus far then?
-
Well they got pumped by shitty Ipswich last night and I'm sure he would have contributed.
-
Scouting report, sounds like he's doing slightly better than expected. Sorry for the long link, I'm on my phone.

-
Sounds as shit as ever.
-
Has he got one or two more years left with us after this season? Another pay-off beckons in the summer.
-
I watched the Real Mallorca v Real Madrid game at the weekend. At one point, Hutton came up for a corner and leapt like a farmed salmon to head the ball completely wide.
-
Play him.
-
Play him.
I'd play him if we started a darts team. He looks like he'd be handy with the old arrows!

Alan Hutton: "I went from doing nothing at Aston Villa, to playing against Real Madrid the next minute."

Alan Hutton says playing against Real Madrid has eased his pain after wasting away at Aston Villa
Claret-and-blue cast-off Alan Hutton reckons his reign in Spain has convinced him he is a good player after all following his exclusion at Villa.
Hutton is on loan at La Liga strugglers Real Mallorca until the end of the season after being frozen out of Paul Lambert’s first-team plans.
The 28-year-old right-back is contracted to Villa until the summer of 2015, but is unlikely to feature in Lambert’s future plans. Hutton would be open to the idea of making a permanent switch to the Balearics if a deal could be agreed.
As he prepares for Scotland’s World Cup qualifiers against Wales and Serbia, Hutton admits regular football has rescued his international career.
“When I was joining up with the Scotland squad I knew it was getting to the stage in the season where, if I wasn’t playing for my club, I couldn’t expect to turn up and play for my country, so I knew I had to do something,” said Hutton.
“When I got the chance to move to Spain I had to back my own ability. You need the confidence to say, ‘I am good enough, I can play’.
“I knew I could cope with it if I was 100 per cent fit, playing and training, but it’s one thing thinking like that and saying it.
“Eventually you have to go out there on the pitch and show it. I think I’m doing that now because I’m getting a run of games and my sharpness is back.”
It dawned on Hutton that he was surplus to requirements when he failed to make the squad for Villa’s pre-season tour of America and he was right – he was subsequently forced to train with the club’s youngsters for half a season.
“To go from doing nothing at Aston Villa, feeling as if I was wasting away, then to be playing against Real Madrid the next minute, it definitely makes it that bit more special,” he added.
“I don’t really know what happened at Villa. As far as I can see they’re moving in a different direction, whether it be youth or whatever. It wasn’t really made clear.
“I realised things were going badly when I didn’t go on the pre-season tour and then I was training with the first team, then the kids.
“Eventually, you think, ‘What am I doing here? I’m getting nothing out of this’.
“I went into a dip because it was affecting everything – my confidence, my life at home, my performance and my Scotland career as well.”
I wonder what the score Alan against Real Madrid :)
-
He wondered why he was not training with the first team?
1. He should have asked the gaffer why
2. He should have realised that he is shit
-
I never had an issue with his attitude and I dont now. The guy is just trying to get game time and improve his career. I dont think he should try to big himself up too much though. he is playing on loan for a far worse team than Villa. Yeah they get to play against Real Madrid, but Reading get to play against Manchester United, it really counts for jack squat.
-
Hopefully he's enjoying playing again and appreciating that he's actually a footballer.
This way he'll be more inclined to seek a move in the summer rather than just pick up his pay cheque each week.
-
So, Mallorca have been relegated then.
-
So, Mallorca have been relegated then.
Have they? Shit. Welcome fucking back Alan.
-
Yep they finished bottom of La Liga with a mere 33 points.
Barca racked up 100 points.

Celta Vigo stayed up at the expense of Mallorca and our other one-time European vanquishers, Deportivo.

They finished third bottom on 36 points. Not that it makes much difference.
