100% player and someone we could relate to as a local lad plying his trade with his local team. Anyone know if he was villa fan before he signed up for the club?

He was always more than willing to sign autographs and give out team posters and so on, a really nice bloke.

Absolutely - you need those bloody players in any decent team - hopefully Westwood can step up and fulfil that role for us. That, or buy Mulumbu.

Apart from all his top flight exploits my favourite memory will always be him as a kid taking apart stourbridge Town (my 2nd team) on his own. Forgive the probable innacuracies but it was something like 7-0 and he scored 'something like 5 of them. Awesome.
