Decent article dave and pretty much bang on the money!

As the season goes on I really think/hope the Baggies will fall away, while we will continue to improve. I think we've got a good chance of finishing above them
-
Spot on.

Well said. That balance shifting bollocks is hideous. Most normal fans from our neighbours know this to be true, it's the noisy minority who believe this guff.
-
Well put, can't disagree with anything there
-
Yes, yes, and yes.
It's very hard to measure progress, and hard not to become impatient at its speed. But we are moving forwards, rather than moving backwards.
-
Any chance of cutting and pasting these in future for those on phones?
-
Well said Dave, balance shifting my arse
-
Good article Dave.

The last 2 games we've played them we've been at least a match for them. They did win at villa park but only after we had a player wrongly sent off. I've seen nothing when we've played them to suggest they are better than us.
-
I think I have now seen every club in the West Mids claim to be better than Villa at some time or other. Including Walsall.
There is a reply to that article that mentions something written in the Guardian. I read that one too. It tried to suggest that maybe the balance of power is shifting yet still quoted facts like Villa's average gate being 10,000 or so higher, with a similar disparity in turnover, marketing etc etc.
Sod the relative league positions, they can change very quickly. Those are the numbers other teams will have to surpass if they really want to talk about the balance of power shifting.

I've seen a number of them taking the piss out of yesterdays attendance. I wonder how many of them were even alive the last time they had a gate that 'shit'.

Anyone have a link for the guardian articke, I can't seem to find it?
