I can't wait.
-
Me neither. It's up there with the Ashes as my favourite sporting event.
-
It's a great event and I agree with the wildcard picks.
-
Come on Europe!
-
This is gonna be immense. Gonna be real tough for us to retain it. They are looking pretty strong this year.
-
The only time I consider myself "European" ;)
-
It's a strong looking team too.
-

Me too

Me too
And the Mosconi Cup.
-
Couple of weak links in Kaymer and Hanson, neither of whom are on particularly good form but the Ryder Cup often brings out the best in off-form players.
Should be a cracker but my money is on the Americans just because of home advantage.
-
I think we have the better team, but agree that home advantage is massive.
-
One good thing is that a lot more of our team now spend quite a bit of the season over in America, the tweaked qualification rules where World Ranking counts towards automatic qualification has helped in this respect.
-
Excellent, kirsty gallagher back on sky sports, mmm
-
Can't wait for this. Too tight to call for me, best looking US team we've seen for a while. Gonna be tough...
Come on Europe
-
Europe are playing in Villa's away kit.
-
the tie is 10/1,
not bad odds seeing as everyone expects it to be tight, i've had a little investment
-
Is there anywhere online that would show the scores in each match by hole, as they progressing? Like it would say 2 up by hole 10?
Thinking mainly for when I'm at work.
-
3 days of USA, USA. Come on Europe. Good start for Woods.

1-0 to USA so far.
-
that didn't last long 1-1.
2 matches still out USA 2 up in one and Europe 2 up in the other.
-
2-1 to the spanks now
-
Get in, 2-2
-
good old Justin. Villa fan I think.
-
This afternoon session is not going well! Down in 3, up in 1, only Colsaerts performing, come on Europe.
-
Bradley's having a great afternoon. Not bad for a rookie.
-
Had to change streams as the American version on ESPN makes you sick, watching it on sky now.
-
They have been good but I knew Westwood would struggle with his putter 2 yes ago.
-
How many beers you had Johnno, watch the spelling?
-
Just two!
-
Twit.
-
You are right about the spelling. Count.
-
We have put too many "got to give them a game" players in these afternoon fourballs.
Plenty of time to pull this round yet.
-
They have been on fire to be fair.
-
I think that 5-3 is fair enough. We were battered for 3 hours or so last night.
-
Westwood just cant putt, he never dropped one birdie yesterday afternoon and was saved by his playing partner, he was no better in the morning.
with the way the coarse is set up, putting is even more important, Westwood is the worst putter in the two teams, thats why he's never won major
cant believe he's sending him out again today
-
We got out of jail at 5-3 yesterday, could have been 6-2 easily. To be fair, they were on fire and are firm favourites to win unless we have a 6-2 or better today. They look pretty awesome in the singles. Best US team we have faced for a fair few years and on US soil it was always a tough ask.
I too can't for the life of me fathom Westwood going out again today. The guy, as talented as he is tee to green just can't putt, hasn't been able to all year and couldn't again yesterday. Coulsearts was just freaking immense. Love the interview "I just go with whatever I have in my pants" ...
-
I appreciate the idea of sending everyone out on the first day but the biggest error for me was not sending Poulter out in the afternoon. He had that wild eyed look in his eye that only the Ryder Cup seems to invoke and was in great form.
We are still in this but only just, the Yanks had a fair amount of fortune yesterday but I think we are fortunate to have 3 points and not two.
-
One good session and we're back in it, two points is nothing on day one, look how far the Americans were behind two years ago and we only won it by a point.
-
Westwoods getting on my nerves now,
He looks like a amature in a pro/am golf day out there
-
Not going well so far. all red and that USA USA USA chant is all around.
-
Can't watch it anymore, we are so rubbish it's embarrassing
-
Rose and Poulter go one up.
-
Not good at the moment
-
We are probably fucked, but that point from Poulter and McIlroy might just be vital.
-
Westwood out number 1. Poulter 2. That would be my first 2 so Poulter can give him some shit if he is fucking up again. What do you reckon LTS?
-
It might nit work out but... EUROPE!
-
Great day so far. Stricker misses and we should have done enough to retain the Cup.
-
Come on kaymer. Two putts for the win (draw).
-
Jaysus. Not so sodding hard....
-
miss miss miss miss miss miss miss miss miss miss miss miss miss miss miss miss miss miss miss miss miss miss miss miss miss miss miss miss miss miss..................shit
-
Get the f*ck in!
USA USA USA
You're not singing anymore
Yahhhhhhhhhhhhh
-
and its all gone quiet over there....
-
Awesome.
-
Amazeballs... as the kids would say.
-
Brilliant. One of the great sporting comebacks.
-

not bad odds seeing as everyone expects it to be tight, i've had a little investment
I reckon you could have got better odds yesterday but fair play.
-
I bet you are gutted now. That's gambling for you.
-
it gets better

I feel for you john e, I really do.
-
I'm seeing Europe has won - against the last 2 days scores - is this true??? Fantastic!
-

Yep, we had already retained it but Woods missed a sitter of a putt to put the last all Square and give us a 14.5 win.
-
Always loved Coulsartz
-

Yes, it might.
-
Rose's win was the key, beating Mickleson over the last two holes opened the door for Europe. I always though Rose was a Villa fan too? But apparently not anymore.
-
Poulter's ok as well. As for Rose, well...
Just can't express how pleased I am! up the europe guys! Gosh they had a mountain to climb, today.
-

Well at one point when I flicked over, we were 17 to 11 down. Turned over an hour ago when the mrs went back to bed and it was 12-12 with a prediction of a draw.
-
I thought Paul Lawrie's result was a great effort. He'd looked out of his depth over the first two days but he minced Snedeker.
-
Thats for Seve, thats for Brookline and I'd like to say a huge well done to Poulter, the man is a monster at this competition and his efforts last night and today, superb.
-
I don't watch much golf and have never played it, but I do love the Ryder Cup.
It always seems to deliver some proper sporting drama
-
What a fight back. Not having Sky I managed to avoid the result so as I could watch the Beeb coverage. Amazing stuff with the added bonus of shutting up the gobby feckers.
-
Nice to go to sleep knowing the Ryder Cup can be put back in the trophy cabinet alongside the Ashes.
-
After the crowds reaction to Rose's fluffed shot in a greenside bunker I almost turned it off, fucking Americans, glad I didn't.
-
I know it can get a bit partisan at these events but I thought their crowd were shocking.

i had £1500 to come back if it wasnt for that massive twat Woods
EDIT - was still jumping around the room though, best thing ever
-
Brilliant, truly brilliant.
-
One of the greatest sporting events I've ever seen. I thought that "Olympic Saturday" was special but this was even better, for me.
Sat glued to it for 3 days and can't remember being so on edge for a non Villa related event for a long time...simply awesome
-

Absolutely Johnno, great win... watched it with the folks and it was amazing, Rose and Lawrie changed it for me... that was for Seve.
-
Americans dont do losing well, but they were very dignified in there defeat yesterday which must have been torture
Mickelson especially was class and also Furyk, as was DL3, who i've never liked much when he was playing but acted like a true gent yesterday

Well they have had a lot of experience in losing the Ryder Cup over the last couple of decades.
