One of the great characters in British soaps (and his goat Moses!) Paul Henry who played him used to be gaffer at The Actress and Bishop down the Jewellery Quarter. The reporter was John Swallow who did the funny segments after Chris Tarrant left ATV Today . We had an occassional drink with John Swallow in the Night and Day he was not at all happy at ATV for a reason I have now forgotten. It seems local TV treats its establised staff in a poor way.
Alan Towers and Suzanne Virdee spring to mind.

Bizarre indeed!

Paul Henry's son went to our school and knew sod all about football. Also, he was a complete twat.
