Title: I'm Looking Forward to 14th July.
Post by: kippaxvilla2 on June 03, 2012, 01:14:11 AM
Genuine excitement again for the first time since August 2006.

I'm off to Burton Albion away followed by the Haye Chisora fight at Upton Park in the evening.  What a great day!

Yeah looking forward to this one. I think a pre-match Burton pub crawl may be on the agenda.

Nearly 7000. The usual away end holds about 1500, for big games they have been known to give a few more seats taking it to about 2000.

The home stands won't sell out, nowhere near, it's a friendly. You'll get in.

Fantastic pub crawl from the station to the ground, might do that both ways and sod the actual game!

I've only seen BAFC's ground from the outside but it's a smart looking place.

Rightly so in my opinion. Maybe they should just have a fight in a pub car park.

I really like how everything has unfolded this summer. The immediate dismissal of TSM, so none of us were left shitting ourselves about whether we'd keep him or not. I liked how they conducted themselves over the manager appointment, the only blip being the whole OGS affair which exciting though it was wasn't the club's fault that someone leaked the whereabouts of Randy's motor. The professionalism of the Lambert appointment, the press conference, what he's said since and Faulkner's comments. Holman is here, Karim nearly and Heskey is gone. What's there not to be optimistic about?

Very much agree.  I've got my ticket for the Burton Albion game and I'm feeling vibrant!

I decided to bin the fight as it would potentially waste valuable drinking time travelling down (I don't like doing cans on trains).  Getting excited now.

Couldnt have put it better myself. Last year was the first time I didnt make sure i caught a game when I was home. In previous years I always made sure I caught at least 3 games a year. This season I cant wait to get back to VP.
