Interesting conversation, especially to hear him talk about his time at the Villa.

Had to laugh when it was mentioned that John Gregory was interested in the job, balls of steel that man! :)

I would have prefered JG to McLeish, but not now.
I wouldn't be against him having a role at the club. I always liked him.

Ian Taylor is the kind of bloke the Villa fans would like to have some sort of input to the board, kind of a representative...

Went to an Evening with Ian Taylor a few months ago in Brum. He was really entertaining and one of the most interesting things he said was that Lerner took him out for a meal before he took over Villa and sounded him out about the club.
-
Then i am disappointed that tayls did not say to him "never ever ever have the Blues manager at any time"
-
Ok he was on their show and had to be a good guest - but did he really have to go along with Keys' embarrassingly transparent "oh the dressing room football banter is really something else" spiel? That was cringeworthy, and if Keys wasn't such a *&$* he wouldn't keep bringing it up.

He sounds like one of those people who believes that everyone tells racist jokes, just because he does.

He's an ambassador for the club. Met the Italian supporters club in Venice recently. Think it made him pine for the canals of Brum. It's on avtv.

He can provide the cabaret at the end of season awards dinner.
