Putting aside for one moment the shitness of the season overall, I must say that the standard of our goal of the season contenders is incredibly high compared to previous seasons. Think I'll have to give it some though. What do you guys think? (http://www.avfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10265~2737340,00.html)

erm... I think somebody scored one a few weeks ago didn't they?
It might have been another team.
In all seriousness, Weimann's against Sturk will take some beating.
-
Our goal of the season was to avoid relegation.

I'm leaning towards Gabby vs Blackburn at the moment but that may quickly change.

The Villa goal of the season will be the one that keeps us up, whoever scores it.
-
Gabby's 4th against the Baggies on Saturday
-
I'd say it's between Gabby's against Blackburn or Stan's against Everton both top goals although I must throw Weimann's goal against Stoke in there.
-
Both by Keane v Wolves
-
Did notice that the majority are scored away from Villa Park!!
-
IN flashes like that it really makes you wonder why the hell we are in the shit like we are
For wowability - Weinmann vs Stoke - quality finish
For great football - Bent vs the Arse - started in our own goal mouth and fast counter attacking at its finest
-
Some crackers there. Shame they didn't include Daniel Johnson's curler for the U18's against Chelsea.
-
Keane's second v Wolves.

Keane's second v Wolves.
This for me!
-
Keanes goal against Wolves. Pure class.
Watching that vid though...fuck I miss Stan playing! I think with him in the side, we'd be safe by now. Not by much, but we'd have stumbled over the line by now.
I also miss how good Gabby was early season. He looked a real menace up front or left wing.
-
Weimann vs Fulham. Could prove to be vital.
-
Petrov against Everton.
-
keanes winner at Wolves for me,Petrov goal up at Sunderland was a good strike too
-
The one year we struggle to score we scored screamers!
Not to bring McLeish bashing into it, but doesn't that say something about villa under him? Our best chance of scoring all season was through a flash of individual brilliance. There was little else by way of a strategy, like set-pieces under MON, supplying Bent under Houllier or wingers under Brian Little.
This year (Chelsea away being an exception) we relied more than ever on players having an inspirational moment of genius.

The one that keeps us up, am i really writing this, what the fuck is going on?....
-
Some absolute belters there.
I'd go
1. Stan at Sunderland
2. Gabby's goal (which was very like the one Barry scored at home to Spurs a few years ago)
3. Weimann
