Will you all be keeping to yours tonight? I haven't got a pre match routine but my superstition is not to touch anything claret and blue during the day of the game, doesn't seemed to have worked so far this season though. Really can't see us losing tonight, 2-0 Villa. UTV

Living abroad has meant that I have watched every game on telly but tonight is my first trip to Villa Park of the year. I have decided to introduce a brand new pre-match routine of drinking heavily. It might not help the team, but I am pretty sure it will help me through it.
-
It looks as though most of the team go through your pre match routine.

To pray that this is the final game of McLeish's reign!!!!!!
GINGER OUT

I shall be watching it on an internet stream with my missus who is a Bolton fan, on our anniversary. Soppy old romantic that I am.

Tell her it's about time she went down...

Knock off work a bit early. Get a bite to eat. Drink a lot of beer. Head to Villa Park. Pray.

I used to have heaps of villa superstitions. I'd wear my watch on the left arm for home games and on the right for away games. I also used to have a lucky top I tended to wear for all games.
All that's gone out the window this year. By March I'd given up on my routines (some of which date back to the 1990s!!) because it was clear they were having no effect.
Alex McLeish has done one good thing this season. He's proved to me that the superstitious stuff which used to work so well (seriously the amount of times we'd get a bad result and I'd realise I had forgotten to switch my watch was scary!) was actually a pile of crap. This year, nothing worked (unless draws count).

We haven't won at home since I stopped buying a burger from the van at the rear of the car park.
-
Can't go - my dissertation is in on Friday so I can't justify giving up half a day to get there and back. I'd have gone if we'd lost to Sunderland though.
You wouldn't believe how difficult it was to find someone willing to take my season ticket. Non-season ticket holders I know can not be arsed with the club at the minute.

Legion you know what you have to do!
I'll be drinking a lot and shouting and swearing a lot
-
I always used to have a ridiculous routine of 'announcing' the match officials from the programme. I now have the away programmes delivered to keep them in good nick. Pauline usually carries the home programme in her bag. Back to old ways tonight!
-
For big games (and this is certainly one of those) a few of us would walk the outisde of the whole ground, rather than going straight to the Holte.
If someone could do that for me tonight, I would appreciate it.

Drink, alot
Swear, alot
Pray, a lot

Mine is to wear a replica shirt. I'm convinced we'll lose if I don't. I don't think anything will ever stop me doing this as it's so ingrained.
Be nice to bump into Darren Woolley before the game as well, only done that twice and we've taken 4 points and kept 2 clean sheets.

You going then soft lad?!
-
This morning I got out of bed on the count of 5 after telling myself that we would win tonight if i did.
I do this on the morning of any big game.
I've left work early because I'm so genuinely nervous about the game and wasn't getting much done (and I fancy getting down the pub early). I have not felt like this about a game for ages.
-
My 1982 home shirts coming out tonight. not worn for a while so its due some luck!

And funnily enough, Bolton played Villa the day we got married 7 years ago. A draw as I recall.
