Can anyone name a business, where after major investment there is no major improvement, or as in Villa's case arguably there has been regression. Can there be an end to the myth RL is a businessman. The reality is he's inherited Daddy's fortune and through a succession of impulse purchases followed by boneheaded business decisions is pudding it away. Personally I wish he'd find a buyer and scoot. Like all rich kids he's bored and gone back to his favourite toy the Browns[float=right](http://)[/
Lerner out and take McGinge with ya....

i think the cleveland browns are even worse than us! the fact that he doesn't speak annoys me.

Perhaps you've missed the threads called -
Time for Randy to go
Are we in denial
Are we going down
Does relegation beckon
the future of VP
the future of PaulF
a letter to paul F
The future of Hercules
the future of McLeish
Time for them to go
Takeover at VP
Who would be better than Randy/Paul/McLeish at running a whelk stall
and hundreds of comments like the above on pre and post-match threads over the last few months.
But clearly you feel that another one is needed.

RBS/NatWest.
Many 10's of billions later and they're still shit.
-
Game , British airways?

I respect the way he has run the club, and sometimes it is better the devil you know. The problem is that post-MON his lack of football knowledge has been shown up, before then he didn't really have that many big decissions to make.
I respect him, but I think the next couple of seasons could be key in defining how Lerner is rememberd as Villa chairman.
-
There has been an improvement - we're one place higher than we were when he bought us, and £300m odd down.
-
HMV
-
Enron
-
Northern Rock, or were they just allowed to go bust I can’t remember.
But as above RBS have definitely been given shed loads of money and I don’t think they’ve improved.

I hope not, they've got the only postbox in the centre of Coventry.

They're opening in Star City, which has got the be the daftest decision ever.

Hosted by Michael Miles, with Bob Danvers Walker. Even as a very young kid I could tell he was a more decent type than that caddish vainglorious smarmy shit Hughie Green.

I wouldn't worry about it, last I heard Coventry was closing anyway! ;)

Back to the topic: in my experience, one of the characteristics of a great business person is their selection of appropriate 'lieutenants'. In Randy's case, he has failed to put onto his team a football afficianado who could have helped him to navigate his way through his biggest decisions.
The big decisions? - well, you know what they are; in each of them, he's dropped a goolie.
Time for him to man up, accept the mistakes he's made and draft in some new lieutenants.

Then there was the Nederlandische Automobiel en Vliegtuigfabriek Trompenburg. Inept? made Ronald McDonald look like Masterchef. (Something else in there about cooking the books, probably.)

"Caddish and vainglorious". I'd like that for an epitaph.

You have to do something like shagging Paula Yates Mum behind`The Bishops` back to get an epitaph like that.
-
I first suspected there was something not quite right about Paula Yates when I heard her say on The Tube
"and I mean that most sincerely Jools."
-
As Gerald Ratner said - 'no one questioned my decisions'
