4-0 Home win.
Sorry.
-
I'm going with a draw, I just can't think beyond that, regardless of if we where playing Barca or Forest Green.
1-1
-
Got a feeling this may be 0-0.
-
3-0 and Mcleish saying we were in it till until the 97 th minute of Fergie time .
-
2-0 and a good result in the eyes of the culless manager
-
3-0 walk in the park for them. McLeish will state it is a "good result given The Mighty Red's stature" followed by "...sorry..I've just come."
cue Kleenex clean up.
-
They'll win easily, McLeish will tell us the game plan of staying in our own half worked superbly (other than their five goals), and Randy will make all the players sign a "thanks for having us" letter on Monday.
-
I dread to think what will happen here.
4-0 them.
-
Loss..maybe a battling one if we are lucky.
-
I dont really care if we let in 2, 3, 4, or 5.
As long as we score, I'd just love to see one of our kids get a cracking goal at Old Trafford in front of 75,000.
-
We'll win 0-3.
Ashley to win a pen, converted by slap head and we'll have a player sent off. 2 more conceded in the 2nd half as Utd stroll round in 2nd gear.
-
2-0 defeat.
-
The pressure's been on us lately and knowing that one more win should secure our safety, I'm sure we'll go out all guns blazing at a venue where we have nothing to lose. This fearless approach, coupled with the desire and effort of a team that needs a win will take United by surprise and we'll emerge with a heroic victory.
Sorry, I'm only pulling your leg... 3-0 home win.
-
5-0 home win and Mctwat giving a victory salute and blowing kisses to Randy in the directors box.
-
I had a look at our tickets earlier and i did'nt realise we are up in the gods of their North Stand. I've sat up there, it's a bloody long way back.
-
3-0 and that is them going easy on us!
-
Does the Old Trafford scoreboard have room for double figure scores ?
-

;D Well at least it won't be close up and personal.
-
I hate to say this, but the object here is not to get a hammering.
-
going for a easy 4-0 home win and Heskey playing on the right wing for us.
-
Funnily enough, I think we'll lose.
-
Six one to United. Wiemann for us after we've conceded two goals.
-
To paraphrase our manager, a 'rampant' United to teach us a lesson. 0-3.
-
3-0 to them.
They could probably score a whole hatful more but our 'football' seems to have a soporific effect on teams and they stop trying to score in about the 65th minute because they know there is no need.
-
Villa to win by the odd goal in five. Weimann bags a brace and we score from a corner too (Collins).
-
Our kids will play really well and we'll lose 1-0!
-
Villa to win by the odd goal in five. Weimann bags a brace and we score from a corner too (Collins).
When we do break that corner hoodoo, we should do it in style - ie score direct from the corner.
-
4-0 to them I think.
-
A straightforward 2-0 win for Man Ure
We'll be lucky to have a shot on target but to be fair we get beat at Old Trafford year in year out so another defeat nothing to be ashamed of
The granny shagger and Ashley Young to score for them
-
Yes, 2-0 at half-time then they will take their foot off the gas and leave it at that, perhaps getting another towards the end of the game if they can be bothered. I think they can actually win the league this weekend against us though it takes a series of rather unlikely results, the least unlikely of which is them beating us as you can imagine
-
We will do the usual and have our pants down to make it nice and easy for them. I fear a tonking unless Utd ease off after a couple.
-
Just to make you all more confident, the referee for this game is...........................................
Mark Halsey.
-
This smells like a rotten 5-0 I'm afraid.
-
3-0 or less is a result with how things are currently going. Of course McClueless will come out with his usual bollocks afterwards. I'm so glad I've stopped going to away games.
-
Just to make you all more confident, the referee for this game is...........................................
Mark Halsey.
I wish I'd have known that before voting that we will win.
5-0 to United, followed by a letter from Ferguson to Lerner that simply reads 'LOL!!!!'
-
Will we have a shot on target?
I'm thinking the usual 2 wide players deployed 100% as extra full backs to make a solid 6 at the back and utd to still do us 4-0.
I would love to be proved wrong but I see another damage limitation exercise from the defensive one
-
I reckon we can scrape a draw. We'll need a bit of luck, which is usually in short supply for visiting teams there. But if we can stay in it, try and get at them and not let them play, we'll always have a chance. I know we got mullered at home by them this season, but as we're all but safe from relegation now, we'd be daft not to have a go.
I'd love to throw a spanner in their title works, the arrogant twats.
-
5-0 to them, with McLeish delighted to keep the loss to another elite team at less than double figures. He'll bemoan how close we were to beating them, in spite of only getting in their half once, and concede they have a different agenda to us.
Take the beating and move on to more winnable fixtures.
-
5-0 home win and Mctwat giving a victory salute and blowing kisses to Randy in the directors box.
in cleveland?
-
Can the 8 who voted for away win please hand themselves in to the nearest hospital for tests please?
-
5-0 home win and Mctwat giving a victory salute and blowing kisses to Randy in the directors box.
in cleveland?
Randy will be firing up the whirligig for this one.He will come in
his pants when he sets eyes on SAF.PF will have his pants down having a good tug as well.
-
His name is McLeish!!! He is our manager for gods sake. Also im no accountant but Randy seems to be bank rolling us. Untill another billionaire comes along he is the only one weve got. Its a big word to some but have abit of respect.
-
A sound beating but not annihilation. Two or three for them, bugger all for us. They won't get out of first gear.
-
Think we'll battle to a 1 or 2-0 defeat - AM will delighted with that, then blame the players in the post match as usual
Or we'll be flogged and AM will blame the players in the post match
So very desperately want this season to end!
-
Them 0 Us 4.
Nurse, nurse, it's time for my medication again.
-
We will take an early lead.
After that, it is entirely up to the referee how the rest of the game pans out.
-
A gutsy performance from our boys, but a routine win for United I am afraid, Fergie may ask them to stop at 3-0 just cos he and McLeish are old buddies.
-
A very easy three points for United and Mark Halsey.
-
Is Phil Dowd starting?
-
The kids will put another great shift in but sadly it won’t be enough.
Don’t think we’ll get hammered though 2-1 to Manure.
-
Is Phil Dowd starting?
No, they've subbed him with Halsey.
-
2-1 to the railway workers.
One thing I don't understand about modern football is why at Old Trafford they are allowed to have one of their outfield players wearing a different kit to the other ten.
-
As José Mourinho would say: 'Mark Halsey - por qué?'
-
Just spoke to a Man U fan, and he said as long as they get a draw against Villa and a draw against Everton before they meet City, that will be enough to win the title.
Surprised me...but maybe their priority is just not to lose, which should be enough to see them lift the title, again.
-
I would send a team of kids up there.......oh forgot thats all we have :-[
Would tell them they can win 2-0 and save us the coach fare and move on
The only time we get in their half will be when we change ends at HT
-

That's the spirit.
-
A standard 2 or 3 nil win. There's a chance we won't create a single meaningful chance I reckon
-
I first thought they'll put 5 past us but then remembered we stink so much that they'll immediately take their foot off the gas and stroll to 2-0. Unless they're after goal difference should the unthinkable happen, in which case we're toast.
-
Ashley Young will score, and then solemnly not celebrate, which will lead to some people posting on that "will Young get booed" thread that he's a good egg, which will then get countered by others saying he shat on us by leaving, and within 24 hours of the match, the thread will have about five more pages in it.
-
Worryingly I thought this was a thread for the upcoming reserve final at first. It's like I've blocked Sunday's game from my mind.
We have no chance, I'd be happy with a 2 goal loss.
-
The reality is that we have once up there in about 500 years - but every time we went i always thought maybe we could catch them on an off day and we had a chance
never before have i genuinely thought that we had not a chance in hell - there was always hope
maybe just maybe it is one of those quirks of the season where United are so far in the driving seat with the title that a total shock could be on the cards - liek when Blackburn beat them etc
then i realised its us and - nah
-
A fairly straight forward 3-0 to Newton Heath followed by AMc praising the young lads and talking about different agendas. In this instance, he'd be right ofcourse - in this instance.

Alex......shouldn't you be out training the boys how to defend set pieces rather than positing on here??
:-)
-
Damage limitation me thinks!
-
0-0
-
We will play the 6-4-0 formation and huff and puff until they score, then we will give up. Hopefully the younger players will relish the opportunity to play at OT and keep the scoreline a respectable 3-0.
-
I fear a drubbing - although as suggested Fergie may take pity on one of his old boys and ease up at two or three
-
dont think there is any game in the history of the premier league that is more predictable than this one will be,
we will lose, any one thinking any different is deluded.
the biggest foregone conclusion ever
that is all
-

Perhaps as football likes to do on occasion, there might be a surprise thrown up. I suspect at some point the title race might have a twist or yet, and maybe we'll shock Utd, allowing City to chip away their lead a little.
Or maybe (probably...definitely) we'll get twatted.
Heart says Weimann will nick us a win.
Head says we'll get destroyed and Ash Young will grab a couple of goals to rub salt into the wounds.
-
The usual bottom shredding. But worse his time.
-
United to win 3-0.
-
I expect us to lose but I will vomit if we get a hammering and the dick of a manager is laughing and joking with Ferguson at full time.
-
Looking at Wigan, I wonder if a 3-5-2 formation might be good on a one off basis. Would allow us to play 3 in the middle and have men in the middle to defend. The main risk being their full backs catching us 2 against 1.
Given - Cuellar, Collins, Baker - Hutton, Herd, Gardner, Warnock - Ireland - Gabby, Weimann
-
Got a feeling this may be 0-0.
Better make that 5-0 to them then.
-
Utter tonking.
-
I can see Rudolph playing four forwards like he did against Wolves as he will want to bump up his GD again now Citeh have popped four in. Plus he will be ripping into them as we speak for dropping a bollock and allowing Citeh back into it.
-
First goal is key as ever. If we get it, we can earn a point.
-
Well after they've lost tonight we'll get the backlash. On top of this as one of Fergie's former players, McLeish will ensure he'll roll over for him. 3-0.
-
The kids should go and rip these apart. 2.2
-
4-0
-
4-1 to them
-
Well being as they've just got beaten by Wigan for the first time ever I would imagine that we're going to be on the bad end of an absolutely brutal hiding.
-

I have the same feeling I had as a kid when you know you are going to get a belting from your mom or dad and you feeling like crying before the first blow is struck.
-
Keep the Faith.
If wigan can beat them, we can get a point there. I think the pressure is largely off us as I said before, we're all but safe from the drop now. Immense pressure on them after the defeat to wigan and city hammering the baggies. Not a bad time to be going there I reckon.
Might even stay up to watch this one...
-
Trust bloody wigan to beat them before we play them. 5-0 hammering
-
2-0 Man Ure win suit both parties. Ferguson can have his players stroll to a win and save the energy for later games; McLeish gets a "decent" result.
-
Sticking to my original prediction of a 3-0 defeat. Hoping McLeish tells them to go there with no fear but I can only see a backlash.
-
If we go up there with the right attitude and go for it and close them down fast maybe, just maybe, we might keep it down to 5 or 6.
On a more positive note, an earlyish goal for us may just get the jitters going for them.
-
They are no where near rampent ..they have been poor for a while last night was just the first time they haven't gotten away with it.Qpr were unlucky against them as where Fulham .We do have a chance but we need to keep the bloody ball !
-
As always when they lose i laugh my cock off - then it came back that we are up next against them and my heart sank
Dear oh dear - i bet Fergie is chuffed to bits when he saw the fixtures
As for being out of it
QPR - won last 3 at home - one less than we have all season
We are by no means out of this at all
-
Expect to see Heskey and probably more defenders in Midfield, Blues lost 5-0 in the same match last year, Im expecting something similar this time around
-
After last night I expect Sir Fergie will have had a few gentle words with his players and those same players will be upping their game somewhat for our visit. Unless we recall Peter McParland I cant see us scoring.
Its back to the walls gentleman with useless Agbonlahor er....holding the ball up.
3-0 United.
-
We're almost certainly going to get nothing from this game. If we stick Heskey in midfield and go ultra defensive, we'll get hammered.
We might as well give it a go. If we still get hammered, then so be it, but at least we'll have tried.
So I fully expect AM to go defensive and aim at keeping the score down.

Exactly - McLeish will be happy with a 2-0 and see it as a result, like Spurs away, Man City home - his thinking is shocking - we've lost before we start against these teams!
-
He will keep the score down because our GD is worth a point at this stage and he knows how important that could be. Yes it's negative but he's not going to change with 6 games to go.
The home games against Sunderland and Bolton will dictate our fate. At least two points from those and it should be ok, obviously a win from somewhere would be fantastic.
-
We'll score 0, have only 1 shot on target in 90mins, concede 3 or 4 goals (1 of which will be another set piece) and McLeish will say we did well.
-
3 - 0 home win.
-
If we lose 1-0, Mc10thcircleofhell would be happy.
Draw and I think his balls would explode.
-
A Villa win and Sunnyhillboy to win the National pays 226/1.
For the more cautious amongst you, a draw and Sunnyhillboy to win the National pays 112/1.
Tight lines.
-
Much as i'd love to see us win up there or even scrape a draw I fear at least a 3-0 drubbing especially after Man Ure got beat by Wigan last night
-
I'd be inclined to pack the midfeld ..Scholes is bound to be back and as good as he still is if we get stuck in he can't dictate play.
They were unable to play through Wigan's 5 man midfield last night we should take note of that.
-
After last night's results, we should be looking over our shoulders, the gap could continue to close.
Can you see AM getting Villa to perform like Wigan did last night? ::)
I suspect we'll pay a high price, as SAF will have given them the hair dryer treatment and we can't beat them under normal circumstances.
-

SunnyHill Boy, is this a decent tip or just a hunch. ;) ;)

they get beat by Wigan and out of all the teams you would want to play at home to eradicate that score...drubbing I'm afraid..4 - nil

These shirts wouldn't be 'Deep Purple' would they.
-
Just to add to this, my hit ratio for picking winners for the National is 11 from 13, I've started to tell people in the last couple of years who I think will win and have lost each time.
-
Did I just walk into the Liverpool prematch thread?
Bedwetters.
Villa to grab a point.
-
You are the bedwetter Damon, ill see your draw and raise it to a win. Mankini so impressed with our performance that he gives us Milner back for free, and pays his wages.
-
You're my kind of Villa supporter, moet
-
Going behind 2-0 after 15 minutes, then playing deep to defend that untill 89th minute, then going forward and get our second shot off-target, and they counter for 3-0. McLeish will post match say it was a close game, and we were always in it.
-
I've seen nothing in the last two games to suggest we'll not see 100% effort and a renewed sense of togetherness but we'lll come up short on quality especially as United will have been given a kicking after Wigan.
3-0 United, but we'll bounce back against Sunderland.
-

Although I think your probably right about the outcome, maybe just maybe Wigan have given us a window of opportunity, hopefully McLeish will study the Wigan game very hard, he will look at the system they played and the fact that Wigan never gave Man Utd a minutes rest, got after them relentlessly, so if Mcleish can play the same sort of game we may, with a huge amount of luck, pull of the same result or thereabouts.
-
fergies kicked some ass over the defeat so i will go 6-0 man urinal
-
Villa win. One nil after five minutes followed by eighty excruciating minutes of Roukes Drift defending, of giving the ball away and clearing our lines. This is followed by a Gabby break away, a Jones tug (oooh matron) a penalty and yes, a red card. The upper tier of the north stand rocks like never before. Villa win and fuck off you red wankers.
-
Wigan beating them the other day pretty much kills dead any chance of a point for us. 2-0 to them with Young scoring from a free-kick.
We're in for a bumpy ride all the way to the end I think.

But this sounds much better.
-
1-1
My mate was incredulous in the pub after work but I'm convinced, I'm even betting on it, if I've any left after Aintree tomorrow.

Ads, they should pin your pre-match predictions up the dressing room.
Rock solid brother.
2-0 Villa, Siralex to get a one-game touchline ban (suspended) for forcing several heavily masticated pieces of gum down the fourth officials ear in rage at the above sending off.
-
I wish they were still in the Cup.
At least 3-0.
-
We're going to get the backlash from the Wigan result... 3 or 4 nil I reckon.
-
Feeling lucky... 2 - 0 to us. Cos it's my birthday today! The vibes will travel.
-
4 nil. Rooney 2, Welbeck, Giggs.
Stroll in the park.
The poll should be how many shots will we have in 90 minutes. I am going for 3. 1 on target.
-
I think this is the most certain I've ever been that we'll lose a match in my 17 years of supporting Aston Villa.
-
I'm more concerned about injuries and red cards in this one.
-
I can't see anything except a drubbing. If they have beaten Wiggum, we might have a chance. Of a draw.
4 - 1 to them. Gabby our scorer. & Young will be one of theirs.
-
I thought we would lose this game 2 or 3 nil. After Wigan I thought we would lose by more.
Then Lawro precticted us to get thrashed, so I now have new heart. So on that sentiment we wont lose now by more than 7.
Or we will bore them to death and get a 1-1 draw.
Or the kids will come good and we will win 2-1 (please, please).
Fuck who knows, I don't but I fear the worst but hope for something.
-
Lawro also appears to be predicting that every single team that is battling relegation will be safe, apart from Wolves, so he must know something about a forthcoming rule change none of the rest of us are in on.
-
Delph, Fonz and Clark all close to returning according to twitter.

TEAM NEWS
sportinglife.com
Aston Villa boss Alex McLeish will check on the fitness of Chris Herd and Stephen Warnock ahead of Sunday's Premier League clash with leaders Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Herd suffered a head injury during Monday's 1-1 draw with Stoke while Warnock was substituted with an ankle problem. Charles N'Zogbia and Gary Gardner will be in contention to replace the duo if ruled out.
Midfielder Fabian Delph has returned to training after his ankle injury when on loan at Leeds while winger Marc Albrighton is battling to overcome a thigh problem
-
Having studied the opta stats and added in our record in Manchester, our record against teams in red and our record live on tele in recent seasons it's looking like an 11-0 defeat.
However, taking in other factors such as the added pressure United will be under following the Wigan defeat I'm going for 8-1. Our goal will come early at the Scoreboard End as De Gea panics thinking he's gone deaf in his left ear.
But there's hope - the last time I predicted such a pasting we went and won at Arsenal last season.
Gerintoem... fuckemall
-
Delph, Fonz and Clark all close to returning according to twitter.
Of these, only Clark would be a consideration IMO
-
I can't make it to the match so I've got a couple of tickets available if anyone's interested.
I'm open to offers but you would have to collect from the South Birmingham area.
PM me.
-
4-0 rooney wankfest
-
We should attack and give it a go, that's the only hope and therefore N'Zog should start. We won't however and we'll probably get a pasting.
-
I know I am going to deeply regret watching this on Sky on Sunday. Still, at least the pleasure awaits of seeing one of my two most detested teams, Spurs or Chelsea, getting knocked out the cup afterwards as a nice dessert to follow on from a most unappetizing main course. Hopefully, the starter will have seen Racist FC getting knocked out on Saturday and our relegation rivals all losing or, at best, only drawing.
-
Herd out
-
Delph, Fonz and Clark all close to returning according to twitter.
Of these, only Clark would be a consideration IMO
Yeah agreed, I wouldn't want Fonz to replace Weimann, I think Lichaj has done well, not sure about Baker just yet so Clark may replace him and Delph isn't good enough.
-
Lichaj was toss against Liverpool. And Stoke didn't play a proper winger against him last week. I wouldn't play him.
-

I'm open to offers but you would have to collect from the South Birmingham area.

Looking at where we're sitting as part of Man Utd's "away fan relocation experiment", you might get some interest from a couple of Sherpas.
Given the state that a few of our fans are already in when they arrive at the ground, there could be some people struggling to make it up to our seats.
-
Brother in law (well he is from northern ireland) is off to the match to cheer on man u. This fact alone normally means that the mighty villa will get tanked... I'm hoping we can sneak something, anything to not suffer the endless text abuse post match. I cannot see past a loss however... even on our best days at old trafford they have managed to do us time and time again.
-
3-0 home win. Utd will defo get a penalty and possibly an offside goal as the ref will feel sorry for them from the wigan game.
-
Brother in law (well he is from northern ireland) is off to the match to cheer on man u.
And then goes home and sleeps with your sister. Unless you get to sleep with his, in which case that must be some consolation.
-
Herd out
Fucking hell, has he took over from McLeish?
At least give him a chance.
-
Just read on the guardian that:
- Man U have scored 3 in 6 of their last 8 home games against us. Pretty high chance of this happening again.
- And if we do lose, it'll be the lowest EVER premier league points total after 33 games.
I'm not clear whether Albrighton is fit. Baker has done well but Cuellar would have to replace him. Despite some being impressed, I don't think Lichaj looks good enough for this level, albeit he's a trier. So I'd bring Warnock back to left back and if not fit, Baker.
With Herd being out, I'd have thought Clark might come in, but perhaps it will be Gardner
In any event, I think we're going to get well and truly beaten, and just hope that we don't get any injuries, suspensions or confidence-battering.
-
The last time I felt like this going into a game was back in '87. In fact, for the first time in my life I may not take up the opportunity to watch the game. I just can't see anything other than another shamefull approach leading to the inevitable and it's so hard to watch.
I'm clinging on to the "surprise" element of football that makes it so attractive as a game but one, I'm sure, our manager would happily abolish.
-
As always I fear for us in this fixture...
-
We haven't won a single televised game this season and I can't see that changing,Hutton sent off early doors and a 4-0 hammering
-
No Herd, Warnock and Ireland is a doubt
N'Zog,Clark,Cueller all fit No mention of Albrighton
-
Scholes will be back. He's been brilliant since he came back. Such a class act. I don't want to sound like one of our shite managers of current times and times gone (DOL, GH, AM) and start singing the praises of our opposition and their players and basically make excuses before the games kicked off because we're so much shitter than they are (Charlton! ha!) but Scholesy is quality and in all honesty, as much as anything I'm actually looking forward to watching him do his thing. There's few players in this league I'll happily just watch to see them do their thing, but the Ginger Ninja is one of them. He normally tears us a new one, so I expect no different.
However, I'm also hoping Ireland (if he plays) can impact the game and standout, because he's a cracking play when he wants to be.
Still, I expect us to get duly thumped.
-

Ferguson confirmed his squad had suffered no fresh injuries for the encounter with Villa, another side managed by one of his former players, Alex McLeish.
The Villa fans have not exactly taken McLeish to their hearts due to his association with their bitter rivals Birmingham City. However, Ferguson is delighted with the manner McLeish has handled a tricky situation as he tries to reduce a massive wage bill.
"Alex had a rough first year at the club, not being able to buy players and selling a few," Ferguson said. "It makes it difficult if you get injuries and he has had a couple of bad ones in losing [Richard] Dunne and [Darren] Bent, whose goals were a big loss.
"He has a lot of criticism from the fan base at Villa Park but he has handled the whole pressure very well. He is a very capable manager and I hope everything is all right for him."
F**k off Ferguson, you interfering C**t.
-
Can't see anything but a 3-0 home win.
-

How many more times, it is not because he managed the scum, but because he relegated them and looks hell bent on repeating his party trick with us.
It could also have some thing to do with the dire football we play.
Fuck off fergy scum you condescending twat.

A capable manager, give me some examples Sir Alex, you tube. He's talking about him like he did about Mr Potato head after being gifted another 3 points by Wigan, blues,Sunderland.
Any other manager we could maybe get a draw, with our set up, 4-1.
-
Piss off Ferguson and mind your own fucking business. You like him so much have him as your assistant.
-
Ferguson initiates the foreplay.
-
We`ll lose and lose heavy as they will want to make up the goal deficit against Citeh
I only hope the cameras catch McClueless on his knees in the dugout in front of Fergy "thanking him" for his nice words to Randy

Why do they carry on digging up this old bone, we can't get on with the bloke because the football is crap, we are yet again scrapping for our lives in the Premiership, its been a disaster by anybodies yardstick.
What is up with these people, I could understand if AM had a fantastic track record in the Premiership but actually his record is terrible in terms of relegation, why not say it the way it is.

The main thing that let's us down (and it's apparent in some predictions here) when we play man utd is our mental weakness and daft sense of inferiority. If (a huge "if" I know) McLeish can get us organized and positive, I am very sure we have the players to beat this bunch of overrated media tarts. They've just lost to Wigan and, believe it or not, they have some pressure on them. They are there to be taken. Play at them, like various teams from Europe have done this season, and we can win.
The only thing that will save them under such circumstances will be a dodgy ref.

My thoughts exactly, if you get after them and chase them down for every ball, Man Utd get all bitchy, they don't like it, they love and thrive on the fear factor, when teams don't respond that way what you see is a very ordinary team. Its when teams stand of them and let them play they look good, which lets face it, who wouldn't.
I think a real lesson in football was when Bilbao gave them a right seeing to, made them look very very ordinary.
-
No way we'll get anything out of this game. It's my daughter's christening so I am going to record it, drink heavily then watch the highlights and hopefully in my inebriated state things wont seem so bad..............
3-0 to Man Ure
-
Had the offer to watch it on ESPN at my daughter's house ,or I could walk the dogs for a couple of hours go home and nervously look at the result with a crazy hope that we've pulled off what could only be described as a miracle given our current form. Do you think I'll be dissapointed ?

Yes u will be disappointed
-
"He has a lot of criticism from the fan base at Villa Park''
What a load of bollocks, he's had an exceptionally easy ride at Villa Park.
If and when McImbecile goes, Ferguson and the media will say he was 'persecuted' during his stay here.
-
Must admit, there hasn't been any poisonous stuff akin to what Houllier got against wolves last season. That was pretty hideous. The football has been just as shite though.
I couldn't give a monkeys he came from blues. Nearly (hopefully only nearly) relegating the villa is shocking.
Ferguson is doing his usual patronising thing.
-
I put twenty quid on Blackburn beating Utd before Christmas. 25-1 before the match.
Villa should be 100-1. (Based on history and current level of shiteness)
-

It's on Sky, so I think ESPN is the best place to watch it.
Picking up dog turds in a plastic bag will be more fun.

Picking up dog turds without a plastic bag might be more fun. The situation stinks anyway.
-
2-0, easy win for them to get back into winning ways!
-
After seeing the man city score today, I can't see anything other a drubbing for us tomorrow.
-
After seeing the man city score today, I can't see anything other a drubbing for us tomorrow.
My thoughts exactly, and who better to be playing than us and his good buddy McLeech who will no doubt claim that losing by six to the elite is a good result!
Thank heavens that QPR and Blackburn are both (currently) losing!
-
I was thinking of going round the Strathallan to watch it, but as we've never won when i've watched us there and who we're playing i'll probably just stay in.
-
That whinging Glaswegian ****** has really pissed me off this season. I hope we bury them tomorrow and his mate McLeish costs him the title.
-
This is a nothing match for us now - we wont be relegated and I doubt we can improve on our current position of 15th
So I hope he lets the kids run riot even if we lose 6-3 at least it will give some cheer to the piss awful season
-
The Man City result puts a little bit more pressure on them. The problem with that is they're well capable of handling it. It might be interesting though if we manage to score one early on.
-
4-0 thumping I think. :(
-
A free fixture for us, give it a go with nothing to lose, another round of fixtures gone and still 6 points clear. 2 of the next 3 games a winnable. Bring it on
-
i think we will lose big,
but ironically what would you give for one of those famous Mcliesh type boring nil nils
-
They'll win, it won't be a landslide but comfortable enough to cruise it. 2-0 or 3-1.
I don't even think they are that good this year...shame he won't have a right good go at them. May as well, it like a free game for us after today. Even a 5-0 twatting wouldn't hurt us too much in the GD dept compared to those below us.
One game nearer the end of the season anyway...
-
We can do this if we set about them Wigan style, providing we don't get in there with defeat stuck all over us we can get something, even a point is edging us ever closer to safety.
Gabby to get ours, not bothered about there's 1-1.
Side point, "We have a Star", was in the Supermarket today, guy at the checkout looked a bit pissed of so I thought I would cheer him up, so I said "hows the Liverpool derby going" he said, don't know, last I heard Everton where 1-0, he then went on to say, can't stand Liverpool, anyway providing Spurs win that's all that matters, I said you a Spurs fan, yeah was the reply, I said you got some great talent in the likes of Bale and Co, asking me who I support, I said Villa fan, he winced and said your having a tough time, mind you if you go down can we have (his pronunciation) Agbongolor, great player he said, always scares the b*llox of me, I can think of a couple of Spurs players Arry would let go in part X he said.
I said, Gabby mate is a Villa boy.
-
yes an away defeat but please let the team express themselves McLeish - you might be surprised
at how we can play if the shackles are taken off ................
-
I think its about time Wayne lost his rag again and get himself sent off If that happens McDuff will flood the midfield play for a 0-0 and claim a moral victory if we hold them off.
Conversely Utd will go on the offensive and hammer us 4-0.
Agbonlahor will... hold the ball up.
-
Stat in the Sun. At the moment Gabby is one of 14 players to have scored three times against Manure at OT since football began. If he scores a 4th he will be out on his own.
-
McShite just has to use that stat to get gabby motivated!
-

Only because he tears Vidic apart.
But, if I'm honest.. Gabby's lost his way.
-
Just changed my two week old sons nappy, and was greeted with a massive stinking pile of shit that turned my stomach. I fear I will be viewing the same sort of thing in 12 or so hours

Bet365 are offering 18-1 for Gabby to score 1st goal, and 5-1 any time in the game. I took a punt on any time before I read that stat

I hope Ireland proves to be fit, some rumors he's come up injured. Clark and Bannan always seem to do well against United. Lichaj on the right please, an Gabby on the outside as he's been useless up the middle our last few matches.
Come on boys, dig deep. Up the Villa.

I think it's a big ask for weimann to play the lone front role. Otherwise I like the look if the team. Perhaps weimann can swap with gabby if we're really struggling to keep the ball
I wouldn't play lichaj. I don't think he looks up to it
-
Think villadeph's team would struggle to get the ball back. Also think warnock is having a decent spell so would play him over Hutton. We've got to try and take the game to them wherever possible and ride our luck. If we sit deep we will be embarrassed. There's a bit of pressure on them so maybe that'll help. We absolutely must not concede an early goal.
-
I look at that team and formation and see a midfield that is so lightweight. We are going to get steamrollered I'm afraid.
-
Warnock is injured from last week (ankle), along with Herd, Albrighton, Bent.
-
3-0 win Heskey hatrick

Ah, right. Didn't know. Reduced options indeed.
-
2-0 home win. Us to defend for the whole game.

Come on Eck - time to stop being Fergie's bitch and show us some ginger bollocks
1-0 Villa

You could always place the bet on Heskey.

Where is Enda Stephens? Can't we give him a run out? Probably at Bodymoor being prepared for next season?
After the Wigan defeat I hope we do not get treated as the sacrificial goat. We must take note of how the Wig's did it and use to our advantage! Injuries on our side do not fill me with any much more enthusiasm than I could muster before though. 1-0 to us is OK price with Wm Hill's. 11/1 to win. uhhm? 50/1 score 0-2..may risk a quid!?
7/1 Man Utd 1-0
11/2 Man Utd 2-0
8/1 Man Utd 2-1
16/1 Draw 0-0
10/1 Draw 1-1
22/1 Draw 2-2
25/1 Aston Villa 1-0
50/1 Aston Villa 2-0
28/1 Aston Villa 2-1
-

Uh, steamrolled..? By who?!
Clark and Ireland aren't going to get run over by anyone.
-
Given.. Hutton.. Collins .. Baker... Lichaj .. Gardner Ireland.. Clarke .. Bannan,.. Agbonlahor. Weimann
-
Not sure why Cuellar is on the bench and Baker is on the pitch? Is he not fit? Looks like a team that will do very well to take anything other than a spanking today. Hope I'm wrong as it gives me no pleasure to say it.
-
after 20 years of grazing in the lush PL & CL pastures compared with our backyard scraps the gulf is now enormous, even with possibly the weakest Manure team for years they look far stronger than our lambs.
I hate to see us lose but even a 2-0 defeat could be countenanced as a moral victory....mind you...you never win anything with kids......
-
Dwight Yorke just said it all. "Why play a 4-5-1 you are already giving up" Play Two up front and get the full backs to push up we have nothing to lose .......
