Brief footage of the away leg, followed by extensive highlights of the return leg at the footballing bowling green (not) that was Villa Park. Enjoy

Sorry to sound like a broken record but I can't access YouTube here. Does it show first leg footage of Oleg Blokhin turning Ken McNaught inside out in a comedy manner, with Ken' legs turning to rubber?
-
Yes - I think he ended up dizzy - after his third spin around he stumbles towards the centre of the goal as though he was playing some kind of kids game :)

He was never offside for the Kiev goal in the first leg, we got off the hook there!
-
The second leg was the first game i ever went to.

I'd forgotten how bad the pitch was, but at the time didn't think anything of it. Horrible pitches were just the norm then? Can you imagine how good the likes of Morley, Shaw, Cowans and Mortimer would be on today's pitches. Still awesome back then though. I remember being suprised at the official attendance of 38000. Always thought there was a lot more than that. Happy days!

Well done and thanks to HWAMH for a great posting of these games.
The home leg I went to, and the footage serves as a great reminder of the power and pace of the Villa side of that time. I thought I remembered the game well, until seeing these highlights, much of which had been lost to memory.
I didn't catch how minutes in - but everyone must see the miss by Peter Withe in the home leg - which I think outdoes Ronnie Rosenthal.

Jesus, even during the commentry after Shaw scored " The Holte End, Villas version of the Kop."
