Don't we have a half decent record at the Emirates? That, coupled with the momentum from the win over Fulham spells out a solid away win for me.

2-1 The Villa, Weimann and Cuellar to score, Van Persie to nab their consolation.

Indeed we do in the League, W2 D2 L1 and both of those draws could/should have been wins.

However, I suspect we'll head off looking for a point and come back with none, 3-1 defeat.

3-2 to us...

When we look like springing a surprise win* we go 2-0 up and then miss a sitter and the opposition come back with 3 and win. This time we will score the third and win!

I like this away game, roomy seats, not bad location, good return time (league games anyway). Not a bad view, although would like to see us score at our end for a change. We'll lose though, but not by a thrashing, oh but I'd love a draw. Mmm 1-1, oh fxxx it 2-0 Villa !

We'll be looking comfortable at 1-1, be denied a stonewall penalty, then that prick will give at least one outrageous penalty decision to Arsenal, complete with a red card for us. Not fit to referee doesn't even start to describe Dowd's prowess as an official.

2-1 The Villa, Weimann and Cuellar to score, Van Persie to nab their consolation.

Our record there since it opened in the league is 2 wins, 2 draws and one loss with the other loss in the cup.

I've been to four of the games and seen us win twice so pretty happy with that.

In the away end for once on Saturday. Think this will be 2-0 to Arsenal and we'll struggle to get any form of attacks going.

Arsenal win, in fact if I remember correctly it was a remarkable win against both this lot and Liverpool that got us safe last season, looking at the coming fixtures I just can't see anything until maybe Sunderland or West Brom, even then????so here we are the business end as they say, there is a possible 15pts before Sunderland, we could get caught here and fined ourselves in a very sticky situation.

Arsenal 2-0.

Inspired by Messi fluking more goals in a month than he has managed in 4 long and fucking painful to watch years  this is the game where Heskey finally decides it is time to show the world what a player he is and answer his critics in the best possible way.

He will lumber on in the 75th minute to replace Albrighton and after falling over a couple of times he will find himself with a clear goalscoring opportunity in the 86th minute which he will effortlessly direct towards the corner flag. I am confident that this isn't the match where he scores 3 goals.

Mcleish will declare the 2-0 defeat a decent result.

These are the games that I hate under McLeish.

It's not that we'll probably lose (although I believe we have the best league record of any PL club at the Emirates ... if not the best, one of the best), I can put up with that.

It is the horrible feeling in the pit of my stomach that he's going to send us out set up to play for a draw, and then, when they score, keep the score down. In other words, exactly the thing he did at Blues, and the same thing he's done for us a few times too often.

I genuinely would rather just award them the points now than go out with no intention whatsoever of trying to win the game.

I believe

The trouble is I doubt McLeish does.

If we press them, keep reasonable possession and get at their defence we stand a fair chance of twatting them.

If we retreat, concede 60% possession and let them play in front of our penalty area we're doomed.

Will have to rely on Arsenal not turning up, if they do we don't have a chance! Good Luck Villa were gonna need it.

Well, as Eck said, we can't really expect to compete with the 'elite' clubs, so I thought we were going to lose. Then again, he did deliver the Churchillian line "you never know", so I now believe.

Embarrassing.

I fancy a well earned draw. a suspicion that we may be more attacking given the points on the board

Anybody know any pubs in the midlands showing the game today? Rococo haven't got it on.

I think if we lose 2-0, McLeish will be well chuffed.

I can't see anything other than a Villa win. 2-0 Collins and Cuellar

Well the moneys down at 11/1 - a perfect day for a villa victory just when everyone thinks Arsenal are invincible Gabby is going to mug them on the break again then Gary Gardner to send them home crying. This time there will be no way back, no henry, no penalties and no mistakes.

I don't see, quite frankly, how anyone believes that the outcome will be anything other than us giving them an absolute raping.

C'mon the Villa.
