0-1 sneaky away win.
Ireland 64
Same starting XI as v Fulham.
-
A comfortable win for Arsenal.
-
3-1 win for them I'm afraid.
Oh well !
-
don't mean to be a pessimist but arsenal have to win and i cant see us doing anything. :-X
-
2-0. Van Persie and Oxlade-Chamberlain.
-
3-0 L'Arse.
-
Don't we have a half decent record at the Emirates? That, coupled with the momentum from the win over Fulham spells out a solid away win for me.
2-1 The Villa, Weimann and Cuellar to score, Van Persie to nab their consolation.
-
2-0 Arsenal win, I fear.
-

Indeed we do in the League, W2 D2 L1 and both of those draws could/should have been wins.
However, I suspect we'll head off looking for a point and come back with none, 3-1 defeat.
-
2-0. Walcott 33, Sagna 56. Van Persie miss pen 82.
-
Predictable 3-0 to Arse...probably all Van Persie and probably all penalties..
-
3-2 to us...
When we look like springing a surprise win* we go 2-0 up and then miss a sitter and the opposition come back with 3 and win. This time we will score the third and win!
*Based on two games ;-)
-
2-0 to them
-
They are on a high and will be miffed that we shocked them last year. Trouncing, sadly. 0-4 feels likely.
-
Them 1 Us 1.
-
3-0 to the arse
-
2-2.
Reckon we'll go 2 up again, but this time hang on for the draw.
-
They're in the hunt for 3rd place and knocking Spurs back and as such they will be searching for the win much more than we will.
3-1 to Arsenal
-
Not an earthly. At least 3-0 to Arsenal.
-
They're bang in form and I can't see past a comfortable home win.
3-0 them.
-
We won't get stuffed but I don't see us picking anything up here. 2-0 to them.
-
3-0 to Arsenal.
-
1-2 to the Villa. As usual clinging on for the win in the 95th minute.
-
Bloody hell, you bedwetters, it's only Arsenal. 3-1 Villa
-
We should lose, but despite recent improvement I think they still have fragile confidence. I reckon a 1-0 loss with a late goal by Van Persie.
-
I like this away game, roomy seats, not bad location, good return time (league games anyway). Not a bad view, although would like to see us score at our end for a change. We'll lose though, but not by a thrashing, oh but I'd love a draw. Mmm 1-1, oh fxxx it 2-0 Villa !
-
3-1 Arsenal after us taking the lead.
-
1-1
-
3-0 to Arsenal
RvP Walcott and that new player up from the reserves.
We will spend the whole game in defensive mode
-
0-2 Villa as their run and form comes to an end.
-
3 - 0 to Arse, Van Persie hatrick
He`s in my dream team so It`ll be bittersweet
-
1-1
After two weeks without a game at least we will be fresh.
-
Phil Dowd appointed referee.
-
Fuck!
I think the most important aspect of this game will be the manner in which we approach it. I don't expect us to win but I'd like us to believe that we can and give it a bloody good try.
-
Phil Dowd appointed referee.
I was looking forward to it...........
-
Phil Dowd appointed referee.
We'll be looking comfortable at 1-1, be denied a stonewall penalty, then that prick will give at least one outrageous penalty decision to Arsenal, complete with a red card for us. Not fit to referee doesn't even start to describe Dowd's prowess as an official.
-
2010 League Cup Final. Spineless bastard.
-
Tempted to change my 1-1 into a 3-1 defeat with that scumbag in charge.
-

2-1 The Villa, Weimann and Cuellar to score, Van Persie to nab their consolation.
Our record there since it opened in the league is 2 wins, 2 draws and one loss with the other loss in the cup.
I've been to four of the games and seen us win twice so pretty happy with that.
In the away end for once on Saturday. Think this will be 2-0 to Arsenal and we'll struggle to get any form of attacks going.
-
If it had been playing the struggling Arsenal team at the turn of the year, I would have thought we could get a result. Now it will be a given defeat.
-
3-0
-
Phil Dowd appointed referee.
He loves himself, wait for his usual fuck ups.
-
Arsenal win, in fact if I remember correctly it was a remarkable win against both this lot and Liverpool that got us safe last season, looking at the coming fixtures I just can't see anything until maybe Sunderland or West Brom, even then????so here we are the business end as they say, there is a possible 15pts before Sunderland, we could get caught here and fined ourselves in a very sticky situation.
Arsenal 2-0.
-
Phil Dowd appointed referee.
2010 - Cup Winner.

2012 ?
-
2-0 to them. Is Dowd a secret Nose he ref's us as if he is.
-
If we defend deep we are stuffed but their defence isn't that shit hot so lets give em a game.
-
Can see it being tight but they'll nick it 2-1.
-
I hope the Bolton game is re-arranged quickly, I cannot see us winning a game until we meet them. Arsenal are flying at the moment, nothing but a loss here. Still, when we lose 3-0, Alex can tell us he got the tactics spot on.
-
Oh God, have we got smegging Arsenal again. All we need to do is stamp on Van Persie's face, how hard can it be?
3-1 to le Arse.
-
3-0 to them, lets get it out of the way!
-
go with 3-0 as well. The RVP XI are just miles better than us. Unless RVP is out.
-
Arsenal are on form but fortunately Villa's defence is looking more solid which should save us from a mauling. 2-1 to Arsenal.
-
0-2 to arsenal- so draw as far as AM is concerned
-
sorry Arse at home so should read 2-0, though still a draw for AM
-
we will sit back which you cant do with arsenal and it will be 3-0
-
We lose and drop back into trouble as QPR and Blackburn continue with their revivals.
Never underestimate the capacity of AM to take us down. He's very good at that.
-
1-1.
Weimann for us.
-
A suprise 2-1 Victory.
I dont know why, almost every fibre of my being says we'll be comfortably brushed aside, except a little nagging voice saying 2-1 Villa.
Gabby and Herd with a salmon like leap to nod the winner home from a corner.
-
I think we could surprise people, for 2 reasons.
1 I think the Weiman goal was our Stoke moment in reverse
2 I dont think Arsenal are good enough to win 6 on the bounce
-
Arsenal unfortunately, just hope Van doesn't have a field day!
3-1
-

Very possible, just hope the three below them continue their non winning ways.
But might become dicey if we lose to Bolton.
-
Arsenal 3
(Van Persie 84 (pen), 89 (pen), Dowd 90+4)
Villa 2
(Agbonlahor 28, Gardner 70)
-
Inspired by Messi fluking more goals in a month than he has managed in 4 long and fucking painful to watch years this is the game where Heskey finally decides it is time to show the world what a player he is and answer his critics in the best possible way.
He will lumber on in the 75th minute to replace Albrighton and after falling over a couple of times he will find himself with a clear goalscoring opportunity in the 86th minute which he will effortlessly direct towards the corner flag. I am confident that this isn't the match where he scores 3 goals.
Mcleish will declare the 2-0 defeat a decent result.
-
I am not going tomorrow but, after our sterling efforts in the pub after the Fulham game, can someone please get:
"Who needs Van Persie when we've got Andi Weimann" to the tune of the macarena going.
-
Can only see a comfortable win for the the arse i am afraid,3-0 i will go for.
-
I think it going to be a 3-1 or 4-1 loss unfortunaltly I cannot see us getting out of this one
-

They've won their last 6 Premier League games.

I don't. I think we'll get truly destroyed
-
I've gone for a draw - that's about as positive as I can get, which given our season is damned positive.
-
Arsenal have won 6 league games on the spin, haven't they?
Brrrr.
-
We won't lose this game.
-
We'll get a thwacking. Saying the numbers hurts too much.
-
Nervy draw. 1-1.
-
I think they will declare at half time.
-
These are the games that I hate under McLeish.
It's not that we'll probably lose (although I believe we have the best league record of any PL club at the Emirates ... if not the best, one of the best), I can put up with that.
It is the horrible feeling in the pit of my stomach that he's going to send us out set up to play for a draw, and then, when they score, keep the score down. In other words, exactly the thing he did at Blues, and the same thing he's done for us a few times too often.
I genuinely would rather just award them the points now than go out with no intention whatsoever of trying to win the game.

Agree, because if we don't go out and show some metal we look complete tossers and IMO players like Given and Gabby maybe one or two others simply don't deserve that.

We'll smash the cockney twats.
-
We'll smash the cockney twats.
YES! I like it sir! Dunno how many brewskies you've knocked back to be so confident, but to hell with it!
0-2 Gabby, Gardner.
-
We'll smash the cockney twats.
Righteous.
3-1 Villa, and I'll drink in Wenger's indignation at the result.
-
I'm one of the 14.8%.
we can beat this (Arsenal) team! Believe!

Can I have a glass of whatever you're drinking, please?
-
It's a cheeky little Pinot grigio from ...god, just trying to decipher the label. Very small print.
Tesco's and 11.5%. Does that help?
Either way, Villa are going to totally, like own, Arsenal tomorrow. Oh yeah. By several goals.
Well, at least one!
-
Well, the red wine is flowing nicely and I still can't see anything better than a draw. If we're lucky.
-

My wine is better than your wine
-
It must be!
-
Oooh, you bastard.
-
I so hope you are right and I am wrong.
-
So do I!
*opens another bottle*
Resigns oneself to a saturday of switching between Sky sports News at home, Talk Sport in the car, and nipping into betting shops on the high street between bouts of shopping, to keep abreast of Villa.
-
I have a spare ticket if anyone's looking, you'll have to stand next to me though :)
-
This has become like a private message conversation.

I believe
The trouble is I doubt McLeish does.
If we press them, keep reasonable possession and get at their defence we stand a fair chance of twatting them.
If we retreat, concede 60% possession and let them play in front of our penalty area we're doomed.
-
In my Australian night-time dreams we will win 3-0. Then I'll wake up on Sunday morning to find we've lost 5-1.
-
I don't really care about the result, it would just be nice to go there, give them a game and not roll over for one of the game's 'giants'! (coughs)
-
Lou'zie: if you're
to keep abreast of Villa.
and you're "Darn Sarf" why not go to the game and get abreast there?
-
Well, as Eck said, we can't really expect to compete with the 'elite' clubs, so I thought we were going to lose. Then again, he did deliver the Churchillian line "you never know", so I now believe.
-
Will have to rely on Arsenal not turning up, if they do we don't have a chance! Good Luck Villa were gonna need it.
-

Embarrassing.
-
I fancy a well earned draw. a suspicion that we may be more attacking given the points on the board
-
Anybody know any pubs in the midlands showing the game today? Rococo haven't got it on.
-
I think if we lose 2-0, McLeish will be well chuffed.
-
I can't see anything other than a Villa win. 2-0 Collins and Cuellar
-
Well the moneys down at 11/1 - a perfect day for a villa victory just when everyone thinks Arsenal are invincible Gabby is going to mug them on the break again then Gary Gardner to send them home crying. This time there will be no way back, no henry, no penalties and no mistakes.
-
I don't see, quite frankly, how anyone believes that the outcome will be anything other than us giving them an absolute raping.
C'mon the Villa.
