Title: Arsenal away
Post by: tomjswells1982 on March 05, 2012, 07:04:43 PM
Anyone know about how many tickets are left for this match. I need a ticket but do not have an away match reference as no away booking this season. If anyone has a booking reference I they do not need for this it would be much appreciated as I think it might sell out with only 1400 ticket allocation.
                   Thanks
                               Tom

The "first post asking for tickets?" posts are about to come flying in.

Aye, especially as his ONLY post was within six minutes of him registering!
Still, nothing ventured I suppose.

Seeing as I've made several posts, discussing boring football stuff... I feel I'm entitled to skip the queue here. I also have no away booking history and it's one of my closer games, but I was gonna wait til 14th March to try and get a ticket, then beg on here if it sells out...

I think i should ask it here, appologise if not.

We are going with 8/9 belgians to Arsenal - Villa. Problem is we don't know really if there is an away pub over there, anybody who knows? Cheers

Depends whether you want an "away pub" that is just for away fans or whether you want a decent pub that lets all fans in. The Drayton Arms right outside the ground will be packed out with Villa, selling plastic pits of shit lager.

For the cup game the other week we went to the 12 pins, outside Finsbury Park Tube, a 10 minute walk to the ground. It wa ok - big screen, big room round the back.

We went to a much better pub the year before - a bit of a walk up from the World End pub -  but I can't remember the name. Kingthing will tell you, he's the pub-monster.

We even bumped into Doug stuck in traffic after he game. Fair play to him - he gave us the royal wave from the back of his Rolls Royce

I was thinking of heading here again Ade, Shall we go posh this time seeing as though we mixed with the poor people last time?

Sounds good to me, kidder

Let's go posh - I'll drink 8 pints of Stella instead of Strongbow

I saw him in it outside of the posh bit at Molineaux, he was about to start driving and looked half asleep. You think he'd have a driver at his age with his money.

He did have a driver when we saw him at Finsbury Park. Doug was in the back seat, all regal like.

He does for the vast majority of away games; I overtook him - driven by his chauffeur - on the Thelwall Viaduct on the way to Wigan a week last Saturday.

Does anyone know if we've sold our allocation or asked for any more? the OS never seems up to date,  I think this is the first time we've not taken the full 3000.

I just bought one today.  Apparently we only taken 1800 in total.

1,410 according to the OS. Surprised we couldn't shift that amount.

I have a spare ticket if anyone's still looking, you'll have to stand next to me though :)

Going to try and head to the Full Back (mentioned by Chico on previous page).

Sold out on the OS now as I'm sure you'll all know. Says we had an allocation of 2,009 though, must've increased it which seems suprising being as it appeared that we were struggling a wee bit to shift them.

Went to Drayton arms like Chico said, some home fans as well but most Villa fans. Basic pub, nothing more.

Was impressed by Emirates though, nice, everything went smoothly. Had a nice day, just not on the pitch but hey, what else is new eh?

We stood outside the Hen and Chickens Theatre pub on Highbury Corner in the sun and very nice it was too, except for the Heiniken which was'nt so nice.

Ended up in The Drayton. Got turned away from pubs on Holloway Road. Actually got in to The Lord Nelson, then got thrown out for the heinous crime of being a Villa fan.

Wenlock Arms was where it was at.  I can say that now as it closes next week and will, therefore, no longer be our Arsenal away pub.

No wonder it closed. I heard they let some very unsavoury characters in there. ;-)

It's all Frank's fault.  ;-)
