He was at Wigan today, good lad
He took a long hard look at my 1994 Muller away top and smiled long and hard, God knows what was going through his head
-
The best bit of a bad day?
-
Yes, by far.
Wolfy does not age. He looks the same today as he did 25 years ago
-
He's got a woman now.
-
Didn't see a SheWolf, seemed to be sandwhiched in by blokes, albeit, when i saw him i felt an initial need to get away once i saw he was stearing at my top
-
He's with her at homes.
-
Little wolf's on the way ! scary
-
Christ, last time I saw him he was running for the train after Walsall v Stoke

The last time i saw him he was being escorted out of the away end at Millwall after waving a pool ball in the air! Circa 1987
-
I took a picture of him on the train at a recent home game, I'll try and see how to post it.
-
When he's gone will everyone start to doubt that he ever existed?
-
Peter Withe,do what you can to post that photo,id love to see it
-
It's nice to see him around again.
-

I've seen him with her, too.
Last time I saw him, was in the club shop before a game. In the space of about 2 minutes, tops, I reckon I heard people say "alright, Wofie!" or mention his name to their friends ("there's Wolfie!") about half a dozen times.
He must be the most recognisable Villa supporter in the last several decades.
-
He looks like the actual Peter Withe's lovechild. But, more wild.
-
Poor bloke.
The way he's been discussed on here you'd half expect him to appear on 'Ripley's believe it or not'.
-
Heard a rumour he had defected to Blues for a spell? Nice to have him back in the fold! Wonder what happened to 'John' a rival to Wolfies crown as Villa's strangest fan. He was Asian I think and could usually be found around Dale End or on the 97 Bus singing Villa songs on his own at totally random times in the early 90's, usually wearing a White away top, a villa hat and a scarf round his wrist! Ain't seen him for years. He was good, but very much Jonathan Wilkes to Wolfies Robbie Williams!

Is that the same guy who sat in the Trinity Road Lower around the early 90s towards the Holte, you could see him on the live TV games? If it is I saw him the other day with a Villa hat on and some shopping in a plastic carrier bag.
-
Could be! He would be about 40 now. Many a time he'd be belting out Josef Venglos Claret Blue Army on his own at a Bus Stop on a Tuesday Afternoon In July, wonder if he's still at it!

Seemed to have turned away.

This made me laugh more than any post in ages. Cheers Bernie!

I saw him last year when the EDL were standing around in Centenary Square.
-
We've talked about him on another 'characters' thread.
-
Was that the "Tarzan & the Werewolf" thread?

Shame Withey, without the face it's a bit like one of those panther sightings no one can be totally convinced - the snout and FA Cup ears are defintitely Wolf like but with a slight blur it could just be the ghost of Alan Ball. Did he have a shopping bag full of crap toys?
-
I thought it was mouldy heads of cabbage and pigs heads he carried on his person.
-
No, he used to have a range of comedy miniature hats, policeman's helmets etc

Im sure I remember being in the away end at QPR once (Seaman was playing for them, which would help date it), and Wolfie was spotted in the front row of the stand on the left, with the home fans, towards the halfway line.
We were chanting at him to put the police helmet on, and he did. These are the sort of things which make football so ace.
-
That would of been great to witness. What a legend.
-
I've seen him and his lady-friend/carer at the pre-season friendlies and the NextGen matches this season.
-
he just loves his football.

I think it was the last visit to Burnden Park which must have been one of his finest hours when he was parading around in the restricted view space next to the Supermarket going into his bag and pulling out a different hat or mask every five minutes.

Whats your bargain of the week???
-
Buy one, get one free?
Where's your trolley gone?
-
I will always remember making the mistake of getting into a conversation with him back in the day at the Dell when we used to stand in that cage behind the goal. I did wonder why there was a wide berth around us both as he uttered completely unintelligible things to me whilst rummaging around in his plastic bag..

That's him alright
Wasn't his old man the programme seller in the old trinity lower. He had a great selection of old programmes
-
I walked past him and his lady friend on Witton Lane yesterday.
-
Mat Kendrick tweeted he was at the Villa yesterday too!
-
I sat next to him once on the Travellers club coach in the early 90s hes harmless but was a right pain in the arse to sit next too, he never shut up or stopped looking in his bag for various Villa objects and masks.
-
I bet he would be proud of the number of thread there are on here about him. You have got to give it to him, he has provided some entertainment over the years. Even the away Police must have looked forward to his visits.

Anyone remember chanting "shaggy shaggy" after the scooby doo character
80's home games from the Holte
Shaggy appeared walking around the pitch generally around the 60 min mark ?

Yes, i remember that. He used to love the attention. He always smiled when the Holte used to sing that.

Wasn't he one of the turnstile operators, I seem to remember he was always carrying a bag (of cash)?

Ha yeah, like a hessian sack full of £1 notes and 50p coins
-
My mate saw him at the kit launch the other day and put this pic on Facebook

Which one is he? He's like a mythical beast to us younger folk
-
The one in the coat who looks like a wolf...
-
That looks more like a character from the Grinch than a wolf to me...
-
Saw him at Bolton Carling Cup game last season (with his woman). Pointed him out to my 17 year old son & told him the bloke 10 foot away from us was well known as 'Wolfy'. He was bemused as to why this odd looking character was so well known amongst Villa fans. Good to see him still doing the rounds.
The Asian guy in Dale End was a fecking pest, I'd continually meet him on my way back from the game after getting off the No 7 (when they used to be on a Saturday afternoon). If you wearing a Villa top or scarf or had a copy of the Argos he'd follow you around, start singing etc...
-
You cannot question wolfies commitment, I'd put money on him being at Burton on Saturday in fact could be like the good old days of terraces when the wolf would go directly behind the goal and prowl along the caging

He's actually been seen home and away with small heath and Walsall at various times but it seems pretty clear that his loyalties lie in B6

Yes - somedays he would be up for a laugh and play up to the crowd, other days he would just look really pissed off and give the bottom right a burntwood salute as he marched off with his loot.
They could make a set of top trumps from these old Villa characters. Wolfy - Sanity 1, Away Day Accessories 10.
-
He was always at Selhurst Park for Palace & Charlton games, even midweek, in the 90s. Yes, including that one where Villa went 3-1 to 3-4 and Big Ron got the Deadly Chop next day.
