I dont really see how the Doghead writer says Wolves could and should have won when we dominated perhaps 66% of the game and could have scored at least another three or four.
I think that spell of pressure they had in the first half has gone to their heads.

Anyway, good article as usual Dave.

Blimey the Wolves writer is hard to please 'easy prodded second Villa goal', keeper might have done a bit better but the strike was pure class.

Agreed but I think Kesae hitting it so early meant that the keeper didn't have chance to set himself.

Let's be fair - he's seeing it as biasedly as us.

He had to hit it early, on the half volley, on the half turn, from 20yrds with enough power to beat the keeper. The description he gives it is about as inaccurate as its possible to be.

Maybe so Dave but Keane checked the keepers positioning before Clark even headed the ball to him. It was like ESP or something, all he then had to do was let the ball come from almost behind him to swivel and first time half volley it into the corner from outside the area so even with bias, "easy prodded goal" is just laughable.

It's not like I find bias and sour grapes shocking or anything though.

To be honest if i was watching that as a Wolves fan i'd be left scratching my head how we'd come away with nothing.IMO we did extremely well to get in at half time just the one goal down. Two great strikes by Keane won us the game, but i'd also say that Frimpong's injury and Henry's petulence lost it for Wolves.Great game and a tremendous three points but Wolves more than played their part.

In what sense? They're both well written and are only the opinions of the writer. It's up to the reader to decide whether they agree with the points expressed.

Anyhow, dunno about anyone else but for me Albrighton was our best player.Read yesterdays Star and he was awarded an 8 out of 10 yet in todays Sun dream team ratings he was awarded a 5.Funny how two people can watch the same game and come away with such differing opinions.

Well, we could have been 2 or 3 up before they even scored their first. Yes they had more chances than the 2 they scored but we had quite a few ourselves. And as we dominated the second half irrespective of Henry being sent off I would disagree with you that they deserved something from the game.

It was hard fought, open and entertaining but we were good value for the three points I think.

Mazrim, for me Frimpong going off was more of a factor than Henry's red card.I thought we deserved something from the Arsenal game and would compare our performance that day to that of Wolves' on Saturday.

Anyway, we now seriously need O’Hara (who performs the same midfield creative role as Frimpong) back from his groin surgery ASAP, as Henry is nowhere near good enough for this level of football. And Henry is now banned for three matches after a stupid back-heel kick at Villa’s Albrighton who was fouling him by entangling his legs after a defensive challenge.

That doesn't read too well and smacks of it ay fair.

No way was Marcus 5 out of 10. For workrate alone he was a 7.

Glad you picked up on that too. So what if Albrighton fouled him, his reaction was disgusting. He kicked him in the chest and scraped his studs along Albrightons body. If you watch the incident from the start Henry has his hands around Albrightons throat also.

Keane did get booed by the home fans, but there was a fair amount of applause from them when he went off

Aye, similar enough to when Young came back to us. A decent reception from the majority, but there's always a few brain donors out there, regardless of the club.

My eyesight is getting so bad.   I only clicked on to this thread because I thought it said Piresx2 and that we were getting the flying frog back for a second stint.

Agree one was succinct and too the point without the usual biased fans crap and the other was a bit of a typical fans eye view. Good stuff Dave. My summing up was bringing Warnock on to stop thier winger coupled with the best player on the pitch getting injured, the worst getting sent off and 2 great strikes from Robbie Keane gave the victory to The Villa.

Kesae? Is that black-country for Robbie?
