Title: FA Cup 4th Round Arsenal (or leeds) away
Post by: Ian on January 08, 2012, 05:54:41 PM
Hi,
Assuming arsenal beat leeds, may I be the first to throw my hat into the ring for any spares for this upcoming fixture!
Many thanks
Ian

i doubt very much that the club will take anywhere near that many. my guess is no more than about 2.5 K

Well that's the problem at the Emirates of course, I think it's the most expensive ticket in English football clubs if I'm not mistaken? None the less we have a consistently great away following and wouldn't be surprised if we took several thousand.

Can I also join the list of interest showers for either games? I have no problem with League tickets but as a supporters club we don't get an allocation for the cups.

Thanks.

I'm no expert on the matter but I thought supporters club always had an allocation unless it was a game where there was high demand, which is why there was no allocation given for the Bristol Rovers. If we get Arsenal or Leeds I should imagine as a supporter club you'll get an allocation

This is from a Leeds site regarding their 3rd round allocation.

We will receive an initial allocation in the Lower Tier of the visitors section of approximately 5,100 tickets priced at £35 adults, £15 senior citizens 65+ and £14 for juniors under 16. Disabled tickets (wheelchair and ambulant) are priced at £17.50. A further allocation of approximately 3,700 tickets may be available in the Upper Tier. However, this allocation will only be available if there is sufficient demand and we can guarantee to sell all of this section. Prices in the Upper Tier would range from £41 to £50. The deadline for us to request the Upper Tier is 5pm on Sunday. Therefore, our usual sales period is shorter than usual but necessary on this occasion.

We would be entitled to 9,000 tickets.

But we would probably only take about 5,000 fans there.

We don't get anything for cup games, we have to get tickets according to ST/Away game history, which is fair enough.

Arsenal is always the fastest selling away fixture of the year. We'd shift 6k easy for this.

Under FA Cup rules, the away team is entitles to 15% of capacity, which if my maths is right is 9k for the emerites?, and i also thought both clubs have to agree on pricing

Realistically it can be much less.

Compared with other London clubs, away tickets for Arsenal are usually relatively cheap.

I went in a box at Highbury once to see Villa lose 3-2 ( I was so pissed I had to check the result the next day in the paper). I had a drink with Ray Parlour after the game. He was orange

Anyway, another begging message for a ticket if possible. Kingthing's let me down - I might have to join another supporters club down here.......

4PM on the Sunday, so people that may have gone will sit at home instead and watch it on the box, unfortunately. Think tickets will be relatively easy to come by.

4pm on Sunday will do. I'm assuming this will get down to season ticket holders with 2 aways. I've never been the Emirates before. Sounds like a fun way to celebrate exams being over.

So now I have my ticket I need to do something else make sure we make it to the fifth round draw. I need to BRING SOME BAD LUCK ONTO ARSENAL.

I have the misfortune of cycling past the emirates stadium every day on my way to work.  This coming week is an opportunity to do something to curse the arsenal team.  Obviously I will be wearing villa attire prominently every day, but will this be enough?  I'm not up for any petty vandalism or anything like that.

So... I need your ideas.  What things shall I do to bring bad luck to arsenal?  What should I be doing?

As that person is me, I just want to confirm that was a guess, after looking at the red area myself! Might be a few more to be fair.

If we do have the whole Lower, it supports the comments from some people saying 'we can have as many as we want'.

Don't think you're far out mate. Sections 20 -23 is 2900ish (normal lge game allocation), so 26 -29 will be the same, making 5800 ish, plus approx 800 in sections 24 and 25, giving 6600 total.
